  1. For a striker that short and lacking football iq to make it at the top level would undoubtedly require aguero level talent. I'm not fussed one bit about him tbh. I have never seen him as one of our outstanding you prospect and I will be shocked If he makes it here.
  2. I'm an advocate of youth but not a lunatic. My stance has always been to use the brightest prospects as squad players and I emphasise the word squad. The only time I ever deem it acceptable to make a youngster a regular starter at a top cub is if said youngster is that good. . . . . see fabregas,Rooney, messi,Ronaldo lima, Hazard, neymar et al, they were extraordinary talents that proved to be good enough even at such a young age. Oscar clearly doesn't belong in the same stratosphere as those talent, i,e it's ridiculously stupid to make a rather average and extremely inconsistent youngster a first team starter. When I advocate integrating youth I do so with common sense and reasoning. For example,I would never champion the idea of playing Bamford ahead of costa but if he were to be as good as a young Brazilian Ronaldo or young Rooney playing with maturity above his years then that changes everything and I would be more open to such idea.
  3. I do and so should oscar himself if he has any shame and integrity. that's a shocking statement honestly.
  4. I'm not a Torres fan and I'm not a self righteous, hypocritical doofus either. You can't bash Torres and mikel then turn around and condemn people for doing exactly the same thing.
  5. A bit rich coming from a well known Mikel and Torres basher. Porter calling kettle black. Your holier than thou attitude is getting boring.
  6. As bad as Torres has been, he's also had some great games for us. besides no one is comparing the two of them. just that they are both extremely inconsistent which is a factual statement as the amount of good games Oscar has had since he joined can be counted on one hand figuratively speaking but carry on with the selective reading as it suits your agenda.
  7. Based on what? You must have really low standard and easily impressed. So you would put him in the same bracket as iniesta,Silva, reus, robben, bale, muller, ozil,di maria, James, hazard et al?
  8. Which regular starter in recent times has been as inconsistent as oscar after torres?
  9. he was good in the 2nd half fair enough but there are more deserving players that should be starting ahead of him. His unremarkable inconsistency should never be overlooked and his ridiculous appearance stats since he joined is a strong indication that it does indeed get overlooked.
  10. I haven't said he wasn't good in the 2nd half. despite my style of posting, I give credit where its due and he was good in the 2nd half but that's besides the point. I was referring to how his overall woeful performance and inconsistency since he joined doesn't justify his status as a regular starter and how posters milk the hell out of isolated performances to justify his overall woeful ones throughout the season. I can't remember a Chelsea starter as woefully inconsistent as Oscar apart from Torres (between 2011-2014)He shouldn't be starting matches for us as he doesn't do enough to merit it and people cut him some slacks far too much. that's my argument.
  11. No matter how hard you try to mask mediocrity and distort reality, the truth always prevail in the end and more people are finally waking up to smell the coffee. And I see oscar's apologist are still referencing his "brilliant start to the season in 13/14" as some sort of excuse for his abject mediocrity since he joined much the same way they used that infamous Juventus performance for the whole of 12/13 season. The funny thing is these are the same people that criticise (d) and scrutinise (d) players who have done far more and showed better consistency and reliability for us over the years i.e Ramires,Mikel,Kalou et al. let's see how far they milk his "2nd half performance against Leicester" for all it is worth. I don't often agree with didierforerver but he's been absolutely spot on so far on the pathetic double standard on this forum.
  12. Players that are currently better than Hazard imo are, leaving out GK's and defenders. Messi Ronaldo Suarez Zlatan Aguero Modric Robben Iniesta David Silva Yaya Di maria Bale Ribery RVP Bastian So he's not too way off the mark.
  13. Just saw Adebayor's/ That's another legitimate one. i don't believe the rest one bit. How easy is it to trick people using perfectly nice luke warm water and sell it with fake reaction.
  14. http://www.nba.com/hornets/video/2014/08/20/UntitledProjectmov-3359051/ This is the only legitimate or should I say believable ice challenge I have seen so far out of the hundreds around. The ice is actually visible here.
  15. i don't believe any of this icebucket challenge. They all could be using non freezing water. I want to see the process i.e the melting of the ice etc with my own eyes to believe any of the challenges I have been witnessing.
  16. I see where you two are coming from. Either way i'm delighted with the way he has started the new season and I know for a fact that the Brana of last season wouldn't have spotted that run and nevermind actually executing the pass accurately. He must have been working on his offensive game in training.
  17. I think he has been given the license to play free role and it's working great so far. His ability to destabilize the defence is just as crucial as Cesc passing against parked defenses. I also have the feeling that he has been encouraged to be more direct and aggressive in his play as I'm sure our scouts and Jose will be pointing out what he was doing wrong and needed to improve on for the new season and he looks well up to the challenge.
  18. he was my motm despite the fabregas wankfest ( and deservedly so). He was in super saiyan mode last night, ran at and committed defenders time and again. This is the Hazard that we want to see, none of that static, dwelling on the ball resulting to being overcrowded and easily marked out of the game stuff.
  19. He was fanatastic yersterday and a motm candidate for sure but what I want to know is, was his pass to fabregas a fluke or intended. There's no way he has that type of vision as it was a late run by cesc that only a player with excellent vision could have spotted.
  20. So basically we have a glorified ramires playing attacking midfield for us. We need more than workrate from a player operating in an attacking position as he does. He offers absolutely nothing unique that ramires,William and even Salah can't. It's like praising a dull and academically poor student for having a beautiful handwriting.
  21. I just hope if the rumour turns out to be true and we are favoring the younger, flavor of the month over the veteran that Cech doesn't take a secondary role sitting on the bench. He should find another club because he deserves much much better. a true legend and utter class act.
  22. Fair enough. everyone has the right to have an opinion.
  23. Cech usually has to do alot actually. a whole lot more than Thibaut.. . .The presence of David Luiz alone makes that impossible. Even in our best defensive year 04/05 I remember vividly spectacular saves cech had to make like against Barca, Blackburn, Liverpool,Newcastle, Fulham just to name a few. His award as the best goalkeeper that year was well earned and fully deserved. Atleti on the otherhand are just a different beast collectively, they are arguably the most stingy and annoyingly resolute team I have seen in recent years, they simply do not allow their opponent to create clear cut chances
