But he was offered a contract which he promptly rejected. If he wanted to stay, he would have stayed. Drogba didn't have to comeback either but he chose to out of love as I'm sure he could have earned more money elsewhere than he's currently earning.

I don't exaggerate when I say this is a contender for TC post of the year. if it was possible to like a single post multiple times, I would.

People actually thought Jose was going to use a lot of youth lol. I will be surprised if Baker and christensen even get 15 mins or any minute at all.

"Are you seriously going to let a one night stand ruin your 12 years of marriage, think of all the memories of those 12 years and forget the fact that she screwed your colleague"
-
For starters he could try not to hurt the feelings of the fans that paid him, cheered him, supported him and loved him for 13 years. He has to be extremely naive and far removed from reality not to think his decision to join our direct rival would not have been well received by the blues faithfuls.
-
And that's his cousin who would know his true character far better than all Chelsea fans.
-
If you put it that way we, the fans, also aren't obligated to see him as a Chelsea legend and to love him unconditionally. by the same token, he was just a well paid mercenary professional who did is job and moved on to another job. Let's yank the soul, passion and emotion out of football, it's so much fun that way.

So because Lampard isn't the first player to betray (sorry I meant be a "top professional" against the club he supposedly loves and cherish) means it's alright?. I will advice my mate who is having trouble with his girlfriend for cheating to use that line. "babe, I'm not the first guy to ever cheat and I won't be the last, Paul also cheated on his fiance, so it's alright"

So you want to compare JT, Cahill and Azpilicueta to Utd defenders? Our defence individually and collectively is light years superior to utds and I don't recall Lecicester playing with 10 men. Utd actually had a man sent of which gave Leicester the impetus to chase the lead. How is both situation even comparable at all? Atleast use a better and more comparable example to make your point or analogy. it's not too much to ask for.

Whichever way you slice it, it's unacceptable for a multimillion pound squad, full of very talented and top class players with big ambition to defend deep and look as shell shocked as we looked especially in the final 12 minutes against 10 men. There's absolutely nothing anyone can say that can justify it. Even if Lampard hadn't found the equaliser, it still wouldn't be acceptable to fold mentality and retreat in our own halves hanging on to their lives, like a small/pub team would do, against 10 men. I have seen some small teams show better pair of balls against a big team.
-
There's this thing called balance you know. right proportion of attacking and defending. You don't just go all out to defend and vice versa. we attacked sporadically and it was generally lacking in quality and fluidity bar the counter which led to the schurrle goal. It's not like we don't have the players to match City either. There was no need to defend so deep. close them higher up the pitch like we have been doing all season.
-
We shouldn't be conceding nor allowing a team with ten men to put us on the back foot. We dropped that point needlessly due to poor tactics and lack of belief.
-
And this is a totally legitimate concern. We have spent big on top attacking talent and the board and jose have been pushing the idea that we are trying to implement an attacking philosophy. It's a big waste of our players attacking talent to turn into a rugby team in virtually every big game. We didn't capitalise on the numerical advantage at all. Any other big team worth their salt would have had City pinned back in their own half and controlled the game after zabaletta was sent off, rather anyone who started watching the match after the fact wouldn't have guessed that we had a one man advantage over them. They actually looked the more likely team to win the match after the equalizer too as our players became really nervous and on the ropes.

I say this with all honesty but you rarely post anything coherent. I sometime question whether you are as old as you claim because the maturity level you display on here is that of a 10 year old. You validate the saying that age is just a number and not necessarily indicative of maturity or wisdom. either that or you just drink too much.
-
When we signed him I thought it was to replace Torres as our 2nd choice striker behind Costa, how wrong I was.
-
Why is that? sounds like you love him more than you love Chelsea, well good for you.
-
Why did he take Costa off for Drogba and why no Remy. He's actually going to make Didier 2nd choice striker isn't he and no point getting into his cowardly and pathetic tactics today especially against 10 men.
-
Pelle is a cunt and unprofessional for that but he's absolutely right
-
We were dominated by 10 men. whatever you say, that is not a big team mentality. after that schurrle goal went in, we should have pressed them higher up the pitch and pushed for more goals or atleast gain control of the match. It was a poor display from us overall and lampard's goal was just the final nail in the coffin. On a side note, I am staggered by those that don't feel sometime of way about lampard picking this game to score, but thanks for not celebrating

He's already on the right path. He's unlikely to become a goal machine as that's just not his game as he doesn't seem to possess the finishing ability and ruthlessness of players like Ronaldo, Bale, Reus, Neymar et al. He should focus on maximising his strength by becoming more creative and for this his decision making, passing (especially diagonal ones) and crossing will have to improve and I could see him evolving into someone like Robben which would put him right in the elite category in the future. He's added the aggression and directness to his game this season which is a big step in the right direction.
-
Out of curiosity are you basing it on form or ability
-
No it isn't, not this early in the season. City were trailing utd by 8 points with just 6 games to go in 11/12 and we know how that ended.
-
The only players I rate higher than him in the league are Aguero,Silva,Toure and Di maria. he's definitely a top 5 player now that Rooney and RVP have gone downhill.
-
Absolutely hands down.
