As things stands at the moment. I'm not thoroughly excited about next season. I anticipate the same slow paced, boring and predictable football and the older players to be massively favoured over the younger , more creative and hungrier ones.
^^^^^^^Little wonder They have extremely low representation abroad and even in their own league. why buy rodwell for £25m when you can get a better and more technically sound non english player for a quarter of the cost.
I defo agree with you. Yet we are planning to loan out a winger/playmaker who could give our squad some much needed depth. our board of directors are bereft of common sense.
You heard Gourlay. Our base will remain the same. in other words expect a first team extremely identical to that of last season with possibly 2 or 3 new faces.
Our final 11 games are extremely tricky Arsenal (A) Liverpool (A) Aston Villa (A), Fulhma (A) Man city (A) with stoke city and spurs at the bridge. interesting. hopefully we would be flying high by then and within reaching distance of the trophy
I have a strong feeling that the board doesn't have De bruyne in their future plans and he's just a bait to get Lukaku. don't be surprised if he doesn't return to Chelsea from his loan deal. sadly he was the signing I most looked forward to. quite a shame.
I have been a fan of Turan for some time now. he's the sort of creative player we need and doesn't cost a fortune neither. With the guidance of Guus, I have no doubt he would be a mega success here. I reckon his best position is behind the striker even though he usually plays on the left wing
Look I'm on here to discuss football so you can take that girly and childish energy somewhere else. when will some people learn to stop taking things too seriously and personal. smh
How would one know Luiz wouldn't do a better job than Mikel? Drogba started his career as a defender and Sol Campbell was a striker in his early days at spurs. we all know how their conversion into a new role turned out.
After watching Pastore play for palermo in europa and serie A, I have to say that I don't get what the buzz is all about. He's a technically decent player who's not particularly efficient and consistent enough to be classified as a world class playmaker. who would pay £50 million for him? imo He isn't worth more than 2 bags of basmatti rice and a carton of carlsberg :whistling:
How about experiment with Luiz at DM or RB?. He's the most technical defender the club has ever had. (well that I can recall) coupled with the fact that he lacks discipline as a CB as he likes to bump forward often. That would give Alex enough room and he can always be slotted back to CB if need be.
I hate to say this but Alex should leave if he won't be guaranteed first team football. how can our best central defender be relegated to the bench as a fringe player. only at chelsea. Alex deserves better and as the saying goes "you don't realise the value of what you have until you lose it"
