  1. We need to watch Terry and Ashley Cole very closely from now on
  2. I understand your point. But if the gamble pays off, it will be highly rewarding. besides Hazard has already ruled out a move away from Lille and Mata's new release clause has pushed his value through the roof. Signing a young talented prospect wouldn't be such a bad idea at this point in time.
  3. How would we know, if we haven't tried? There's no such thing in life as risk free. What's also to say Hazard or Mata would become instant success at Chelsea? We do however know that Kevin is hugely talented and already a winner at age 20, He was crucial to Genk's Belgian league title success last season and his regarded as one of the best wingers in Belgium. I'm sure Hamilton can attest to his quality.
  4. Judging on performance, quality and technical ability. Can you remind me the league chicharito was playing in before he came to premier league? it's incredibly stupid to presume failure on what has not already being tested. Chicharito's quality would never have been realised had ferguson adopted the same attitude as yours. . . he's too young, comes from an inferior league and untested, i.e let's loan him out or play him in reserve.
  5. Another tired age argument hey. . .. why I'm I not surprised. When will people understand that quality supercedes age/experience. How old was wilshere, chicharito, Rooney, ronaldo when they shone in the epl?
  6. Kevin Debryune is a winger and fulfills our most pressing need at this time. people can use the tired and over-used argument of "he's too young and unproven in epl" all they want but this kid is already 4x better than Malouda and Kalou and will be a great improvement from our current options on the wing.
  7. He shouldn't have played the stoke match. I pray GOD give him the strength to cope with this problem and hope his father is released from captivity alive sooner than later. From the looks of things, Mikel's dad is probably being used as a leverage to claim ransom.. . . it's a sad world we live in.
  8. This deal should have been done a long time ago. And why are contemplating on loaning him out to genk for another year. that's just stupid and illogical. I relish the day common sense would be put to greater use at the club.
  9. My lord. Aguero already has 2 goals plus one assist on his 40 mins debut. Aguero+David silva is just depressing from a rival fan perspective
  10. That's stale news. I will tell you exactly why all those clubs haven't won any trophy and that's due to lackluster defending. Blackpool were one of the top scorers in premiership last season but that impressive record was nullified by their awful defending at the back, which was the reason they lost and drew many games last season ultimately landing them in relegation hot water. Give them Man City or Chelsea's defensive unit (back 5) and see if they don't win any trophy or go pretty far. Arsenal find themselves in the same predicament as well. It's common knowledge that the foundation of a winning team is a rock solid defence
  11. Which begs the question. Why haven't we been playing good football over the years. if relatively small clubs like Swansea, Blackpool and Lorient could achieve this level of footie then there's no justification for our unattractive brand of footie. especially the way we played last season.
  12. jheez. is anyone watching Swansea - man city game. this is proof that you don't need World class players to play attractive football. Blackpool were the point of reference for last season and it will be Swansea for this season
  13. This is Chelsea FC and not John terry FC. any fan that wants the club to succeed wouldn't be against the benching of any under-performing players.
  14. First Lukaku is not a wing forward. Malouda lacks the technical ability and pace to cause problems on the wings as we saw in the last game and Kakuta hasn't shown anything in the last 16 months to deserve a place in the squad, he needs to go out on loan this season.
  15. I agree to an extent but if you don't atleast try you wouldn't know if Hazard would be tempted or have a change of mind, afterall AVB publicly said he will stay at porto for this season and we know what happened. The only weakness with this approach is the lack of time, we need a winger fast and pursuing Hazard could be time consuming as we found out with Modric and Pastore.
  16. This is a winger that would adapt quickly to the fast paced premiership. He's young, pacy, skillful, can cross, strike from distance, can pass and will definitely be a major improvement from our current wing forward options. Imagine a line up of Hazard. . . .Torres. . . .Sturridge. if that doesn't terrorize defences in the epl and across Europe then nothing will
  17. plus Malouda and Kalou offloaded before the transfer window closes equals even more perfect
  18. If that happens, Andre would have earned my full respect. I seriously doubt he will though as he believes in the concept of patience and making lemonade out of lemons which is a detachment from the reality of the modern game.
  19. The champions- Manchester United Top 4- Man utd, Man city, Chelsea, Arsenal Relegated - Norwich, Wigan, QPR Signing of the season-Ashley Young Surprise manager sacking of the season- Mancini Over-achieving team of the season-Swansea Flop of the season (team) QPR Flop of the season (player)- Andy Carroll
  20. I agree. Based on merit, Benayoun/Josh should have started ahead of Lampard. if I have the chance to meet AVB. My first question will be : Do you genuinely feel Kalou and Malouda are Chelsea quality and have they warranted the believe you have shown in them thus far"? On a side note, does anyone else find JT's lack of pace increasingly worrisome. he was exposed on a number of occasions in the stoke game and I fear he would struggle to cope against pacy and counter attacking opponents
  21. It's very simple, if Lampard continues to start for us then it would clearly invalidate AVB's policy/assertion of making team's selection based on merit. How many times have we heard that statement from managers joining a new club- Capello (England), scolari, Carlotti et al have all said the same thing but never backed their word up with action.
