  1. That period is going to be crucial for his future. However IF we do sign a new Striker in Jan then he may not get that chance. Kalou should be starting every game though, his scoring and assist record this season is outstanding, plus he is a constant threat.
  2. Seen and heard quite a few comments about Steve Clarke not looking too happy, there are 2 points of views on that in my opinion:1. When has he ever looked happy??2. IF he isn't happy then there is no point keeping him around, he isn't THAT important to the set up that he couldn't be easily replaced in a second.
  3. There is also no doubt that Sheva being on the pitch contributed greatly to Drogba's massive goal tally for the season. He found himself in much more space than he did previously or he does now..It's a shame but it looks inevitable that he won't be here past the end of the season.
  4. He is not exactly a saint though is he. Done his fair share of moaning in the past and against us too....
  5. Still not happy with Anelka, i find it hard to believe that we would not go for someone better than him. If you were to draw a list of the worlds best striker and a list of the worlds best young strikers (i.e with potential to be the best) then Anelka would not appear on either.Surely we should be setting our standards higher.........
  6. I didn't think his last season was as bad as was made out. But there was a lot of pressure put on him to get better and it just hasn't worked out. Clearly a class player who has just struggled to settle......
  7. Sheva's movement has always been pretty good for us. His finishing has not been so good.I fear that he will never recover now, i hope he does, but only by getting games will that happen and playing our system with Drogba fit it just won't happen
  8. Absolutely, relegation was the best they could have hoped for...
  9. For whatever reason he is having a tough time at Barca, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't sign him. Still a fantastically gifted player and would fit nicely into our system, the only question is the money it would cost.....
  10. Bit silly really, Derby overachieved to get into the prem, they havn't spend anything and expect to stay up?? Madness. Another manager gone after playing us too
  11. Barcelona are making Ronaldinho available ahead of the January market, it has been revealed. Chelsea and AC Milan are on red alert after Gazzetta dello Sport declared that Barca are prepared to cash in on Ronaldinho - and as early as the winter transfer window. Barca directors know that Ronaldinho's asking price is continuing to fall as he struggles to recapture his best form and are ready to sell him now before his valuation drops further. 12. Chelsea's spending power is set to clinch the signature of Dinamo Zagreb star Luka Modric ahead of Arsenal. Nogometni magazin says Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has agreed to meet Dinamo's £16 million asking price for Modric, with the Croatia international arriving at Stamford Bridge in January. Italian clubs AC Milan and Juventus have already been informed of the developments after having scouts posted at Wembley last week to watch Modric in action against England. Chelsea boss Avram Grant sees Modric as the midfield schemer he needs to transform the team's style of play and along with checking on Modric last week, he also travelled to Skopje to watch the midfielder against Macedonia last weekend. Nothing has been confirmed, but it's understood barring a mega offer arriving from elsewhere, Modric will join Chelsea when the market reopens in January.Source: Tribal Football
  13. Thats some good work you have done there. Where did you get your U16's info from?
  14. exactly. To be honest us even discussing playing for a draw against Rosenborg is a bit crazy, we should be able to go there and turn them over.
  15. He is African isn't he??If he is then you can forget about us signing him....
  16. Yes Sidwell is not exactly a bad player. But when you look at the quality of our midfield (Lampard, Ballack, Essien, Mikel & Makelele) and you look at the sort of player we are looking to bring in, then Sidwell will at some point have to make way i think.
  17. We should certainly win this game. Rosenborg have done well but there is no getting away from the fact that we should be able to see them off. The weather is going to play a big part, lots of snow over there which may make things a lot harder for us.
  18. The point is that our midfield is missing a certain TYPE of player, we need the creative edge in our midfield to work alongside the defensive minded player (Makelele, Mikel, Essien) and the box to box midfielder (Lampard, Essien, Ballack, Sidwell).Long term i would think Sidwell will leave and attacking playmaker will come in.
  19. Indeed, tapping into the South American market is something we should be looking to do, it isn't easy but i think the club are looking at that and finding a way to work it, until a player comes from there and makes an impact for us it will be hard.Africa is producing some fantastic talent at the moment, but we will not sign another African player at the moment because we cannot afford to lose more than 4 during the ACN...
  20. As none of us are privvy to the contract offers of the club so i doubt any light will be shed on it. The same could be said for the crappy rag that printed the story you are refering to, which means it is probably rubbish..
  21. F**king Gooners are the thickest fans in the country, they will berate Ashley for asking for more money but will conveiniently forget the fact that the swap deal with Cole and Gallas nearly fell through because the French twat was asking for a higher wage....
  22. What is the source of this Chelsea hating tripe???We are certainly on the reveiving end of dodgy refs at the moment, severly punished for nothing incidents and missing out on key ones against us.
  23. Well IF we have made a bid it will be interesting to see if we go back with a higher offer.
  24. It is rather shocking how many "sorrys" we have had from the media lately......... They really shouldn't be able to get away with printing such blatant lies.
