  1. Well lets hope it bloody happens!! This is one signing i really want to see happen this season.
  2. LOL, Lampard's agent Franco Granello The world and his dog knows who Frank Lampards agent is.....
  3. Well as far as wingers go being linked with Ben Arfa, Quaresma, Robinho and Ronaldinho isn't bad at all. Would take any of them, although Robinho would be my ideal signing. I think wingers will be something of a priority for us, at least 1 and maybe 2 depending on who out of our current wingers Scolari fancies.
  4. Yup, a few German clubs already interested in him. We will make good business out of Sidwell, Pizarro and Ben Haim. It is clear from these dissapointments that it is better for us to sign young players as squad players instead of these average players.
  5. Can't think of a single reason why we would be interested to be honest.
  6. Yup, simple as that. Or the other alternative is that Bridge leaves and Paulo fills in at left back and Belletti stays!!!
  7. Basically the press don't know. Much like the manager search. It has been Contract length, his salary and image rights that have all been the stumbling block at different times. I would read too much into what the media are saying. Frank has said MANY times that he wants to stay and the club have said they want him to stay, we have no idea what is holding it up. But we shouldn't speculate, and just wait and see and hope the contract gets done.
  8. It's quite strange how he has been put on the scrapheap by pretty much everyone. He is in his prime age-wise and barring injuries he was still fantastic last season. It would be a real coup to get him on the back of this and rejuvinate his carear. I only stumbling block could be the ammount of money that City are prepared to pay him, something that even we might not want to compete with, although i am sure Ronaldinho will want to play in the CL which will make a fight against us go somewhat in our favour.
  9. I agree with that. I am don't exactly like Deco and he wouldn't have one i would have wanted us to go for, but if Scolari feels he needs him then i will go along with that.
  10. It does look like a very very tempting move to make. However it seems that there is going to be no transfer activity until Scolari is formally in place, but hopefully negotiations are still taking place so that we do not miss out on any potential targets.
  11. Don't believe a word of this, how can contract talks stall if they are not currently taking place? I am 100% convinced that Frank will be signing a new contract this summer.
  12. I wonder what role they have in mind for him? With the lack of news regarding Steve Clarke i am assuming that he is to stay on as an Assistant Manager!
  13. At the end of the day Scolari is trying to build a team in his vision. If he feels that he needs Deco in the squad to fulfill that vision then we have to trust him. Obviously Deco isn't the most ideal option we would like to see, and i doubt he would be anyones first choice for that position but he is still very good.
  14. SSN saying that a fee of £5.5m has been agreed between Aston Villa and Chelsea for Sidwell and the deal is expected to be finalised in days. Cracking bit of business that was
  15. There is definately room in the squad for Deco, and even though the quality of midfield is extremely high with the high ages of most of them it gives us the perfect chance to keep everyone fresh. The only question marks over Deco is firstly his age and secondly his personality.
  16. I think most people seem to believe that Scolari could bring the best back out of him. And it isn't as if his last season was terrible. He would certainly be a great addition and it would be somewhat of a waste if we passed up on this oppertunity now.
  17. And also a massive headache when the ACN comes around. It's a good point actually, we have enough to worry about losing as it is. I know the ACN isn't on this season but we have to look forward too...
  18. Cheers for that. Good to get to know a bit about him. So he would definately be an option. Although there has not been much noise yet about us being interested, so time will tell if we do fancy a look.
  19. Ben Arfa is vastly more experienced that Dos Santos, i think the £11m price tage is a bit of a steal considering the price tags placed on some of the other wingers, Ribery, Quaresma ect...
  20. Some reports in Portugal claiming it is a done deal! I don't think Deco has ever scored 20 goals in a season. Remember, there is NO-ONE like Frank Lampard..... Doesn't mean Deco isn't a good player though
  21. £11m these days is bloody peanuts. £24m for SWP £15m for Malouda...... the price is an exceptionally good deal. At 21 he has a lot of years ahead of him and is pretty highly rated. But i don't know enough about him to know if he would be good enough.
  22. Lyon president claiming that Ben Arfa has the option to sign a new contract or move, also publicly stating that it will take £11m to buy him from Lyon. Roumers are that we are interested. Anything think he is worth a a punt?
  23. Yes that is a worry, you wouldn't fancy having to win the league on the last day of the season and being in the CL and FA Cup finals with those fixtures so close together....
  24. Barca won't ask for €40m if they are effectively putting him up for sale. Around the £20m mark is going to price he will go for. Of course AC Milan have no CL football so if we are to go head to head with them we have that advantage.
  25. Lol, well the backflips would be worth it Yup it would be very strange if we got all 3. Of course it is entirely possible, and probable too when you think about it. These players need some disipline and guidance that has been lacking in the last couple of seasons.
