Read the transcript on the CFC website, but looking forward to seeing the full thing when i get home tonight. He comes across very well. It is no suprise that we will be waiting a while for more transfers while Scolari asseses the squad, it is likely that most activity will now happen after the Pre Season tour in early August. Great news that Lamps wants to stay and that Scolari wants to keep Drogba too..... All in all very positive.

Chelsea Reject Inter Approach For Frank
EskWeston replied to DavidEU's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Well once again we are told today by Scolari that Chelsea want Frank to stay and Frank wants to stay at Chelsea. Now for gods sake get the contract sorted out and have this all done and dusted with! -
Chelsea Reject Inter Approach For Frank
EskWeston replied to DavidEU's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Lol. I think it is more likely they are haggling over the length of contract..... It won't be the end of the world, but it would certainly be dissapointing. -
That is more than likely the case. I am sure that once the season has started Ivanovic will be a member of the squad properly and will get his games. He looked a good player in his reserve outings and it will be good to finally see what he can do at the top level. I am sure that he will be an improvement on Ben Haim.

Yeah, but not stupidity! Better than Alex and Carvlaho???

Chelsea Reject Inter Approach For Frank
EskWeston replied to DavidEU's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
We can still do all that with Lampard in the team too. Would be very silly for us to let him go. I am still convinced that he doesn't want to go. Whatever is stopping a new contract being done and dusted i hope they can work around it. -
Well if he is only here for 4 or 5 years then lets hope he can build something special for the next person to carry on with. Personally i am quite excited by this new era under Scolari, a few more new signings in the right places and the right types of player and it could well be one hell of a season for us. Now we just want to hear from the man himself to finally comment on all things Chelsea and hear what he has to say.
-
Really not sure how to take this story!! We certainly don't need to push too hard and go overboard with the transfer fee because we are well stocked for midfielders. Would like to see us actively seeking to bring some wingers in.

Chelsea Reject Inter Approach For Frank
EskWeston replied to DavidEU's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
It seems that the club and Frank are for whatever reason unable to find common ground on terms for a new contract, both have expressed their willingness to have Frank here next season and until he finishes football altogether. It looks like the club mean business, i just hope they can come together and sort out a new deal ASAP. -
Lol, yes you always have to be weary of supposed interviews like this. It seems strange that Ivanovic has forgotten all about the injury he suffered from and also the lack of fitness he had when he came to us.....

Chelsea Killed Mikel's Creativity - Odemwingie
EskWeston replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Agree with all of that, Kalou and Cole in particular could do with playing in their more natural positions. Cole could possibly be used more in that position, but i can't see us playing with 2 strikers this season. -
Chelsea Killed Mikel's Creativity - Odemwingie
EskWeston replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Yes it will be interesting to see how Scolari impliments his ideas to the team and how the players adapt to that. We have a few players who are capable of much more than they are given at the moment, like Mikel, Kalou or Joe Cole.... -
Petr Cech Wants To End Career With Blues
EskWeston replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Goalkeepers in general tend to be fairly loyal and not move around much. We would love to keep Cech around for maybe up to 10 years! There is no-one i would rather in between our goalposts right now... -
He can speak English quite well, and has always been able to. Obviously not fluent, and we are yet to find out just how well he can speak it. But he was talking with everyone yesterday in English fine and held his meeting with the players all in English....
-
Lol, what a ridiculous story!! Old Roberto can keep dreaming i think....
-
Lol, thats a very good point actually! Whats wrong with E-Mail eh?
-
Scolari can speak pretty good English aparently. Not sure how much will be done through a translator though. First interview before the press conference is on CTV at 12:00pm today.
-
Yes i can't wait to hear this interview and conference today. It will be great to finally hear from the man what he has planned for the club and any possibly some insight into potential transfer dealings.

Clarke staying with Chelsea after Scolari meeting
EskWeston replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Well there has not been any confirmation on if Clarke is staying or not, but reports are saying that he certainly is and also that Lollichon is also staying on as keeper coach.. -
Chelsea Killed Mikel's Creativity - Odemwingie
EskWeston replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
It will be interesting to see how Scolari will use him, obviously he won't play the attacking midfield spot but he could certainly be given more licence to get forward. I can see him being a very similar player to Ballack, their styles are similar and if Mikel can carry on the way he is going then he will certainly be just as good one day. -
The fact that not many people will expect Sheva to do anything this season could well work in his favour. There will be less pressure on him and hopefully he can regain the form he was so close to finding at one point last season. He is still a class player who can score plenty of goals for us. He was back in training earlier than everyone else to get his fitness levels right for the start.
-
FIX!!!!!!! Lol..
-
He will certainly benefit from having someone like Deco in the squad to feed off, Sheva is very clever at making the runs and Deco is very clever at picking them out, it could work well. Only time will tell.

Clarke staying with Chelsea after Scolari meeting
EskWeston replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
It is possible, although i think the club would always be likely to go with someone more "High Profile" although he could move on to somewhere else and come back one day once he has been in the main job for a while. From Scolari's point of view it is very clever, to have someone with such knowledge of the team. On the other hand considering everything that went on last season it may have been a good idea to have a completely fresh start. -
No he hasn't. Even if Inter HAVE sent a fax beginning negotiations it doesn't mean anything at all. I would just send a fax back in big bold letters saying "F**K OFF"
