  1. I won't get all doom & gloom, but that was pretty embarrassing. We're supposedly the best team in Europe but were frankly outclassed by the better team - Not just one superb striker. The fact is, the problems that arose tonight aren't new problems to the team. We know that Ivanovic and Ramires aren't capable of consistent deliveries into the box, we know that Torres cannot control the ball from the goal kick like Drogba could, we know that the back four have struggled against counter attacking teams. I've always had my doubts about Luiz, and haven't been afraid to voice my opinion of him, he's still a poor defender in my eyes. We look so unorganised at the back without JT, it's frightening. Mikel was the best player out there in Blue as well, and I still maintain that he is not the weak link of the midfield 2, Lampard is.
  2. Credit to Madrid, they're well drilled defensively and swarm forward in numbers. Whereas we are not pressuring, ball-watching and are far too static. Something needs to change, Robbie, or it's only going to get worse.
  3. Ivanovic doesn't fancy playing a game of football tonight, clearly.
  4. Superb footwork from Mikel tonight though!
  5. Did Ivanovic just get booked there for pointing out to the ref/assistant that he's fucking useless at his job?
  6. What was Luiz doing? Just leave it and hope nothing comes of it?
  7. Lol I got lambasted a few weeks ago for calling Ivanovic only 'decent'.
  8. Obviously he's gone with what he considers his strongest lineup, this isn't a friendly, it's a final. Agree about Ramires though, never been a fan of him out wide, he always ends up playing centrally no matter where you tell him to play. Lampard is a leader/captain in absence of Terry perhaps?
  9. The UEFA site has Sturridge on the bench, Essien is not. Not sure if it is 100% accurate though.
  10. The UEFA site has Sturridge on the bench, Essien is not. Could be wrong though!
  11. Ridiculous. It's not even the fact that Essien is (potentially) leaving, it's the fact that we'd be willing to loan him to a top 4 rival that's pissed me off. Really hope it's not true.
  12. What the fuck? Shocking business if true.
  13. With Adebayor up top, i'm not too bothered about Spurs this year.
  14. Seems everyone is put off by their wage demands... Someone get QPR on the phone!
  15. VdW is going to PSG, no? Maicon to City.
  16. VdV leaving Spurs was inevitable, Sigurdsson was a direct replacement. Can't see Berba going back there, I think SAF was just joking - Surely they can't be signing Llorente?
  17. Dempsey to Villa? How'd that strike work out for ya then, Clint?
  18. And there we all were thinking Sturridge was arrogant. This guy is on another level!
  19. It's here mate, at the bottom of the page. http://www.telegraph...-the-board.html Oddly enough it says that Schurrle to us would mean Sturridge out on loan, which makes even less sense than us selling him...
  20. What are you going to do once the window shuts @xPetrCechx ?
