Couldn't agree more Alex, this saga could of gone on alot longer all through summer and i was already sick of hearing it. If Joey wasn't willing to take the wage cut then thats his problem. He's been told to stick it thanks for everything but go find the wages somewhere else. It seems he was trying to use his status as a fans favourite at the club to get more money. Also Ballack is a true proffessional.

Well gutted about this news as much as anyone else absolutely loved Joey with a passion. I thought his passion for Chelsea was more than this. Chelsea announced that they wanted him to stay so he's obviously not changed his wage demands which i think is a real shame, if he loved the club that muc he'd of repaid the faith we showed in him when he was injured. The club has done the right thing at least we dont have to deal with all the rumours as he's not longer a chelsea player. However as he's moving on I'll remember him for the player he was at Chelsea when he was at his best. Don't give a shit where he ends up now. he's past his best. But good luck to him i'll always love him as a Chelsea player. As for ballack got nothing but respect for the guy he's an absolute legend of the game, and people like Joey Cole should take note of him. Gutted that he's missing the world cup but good luck in the future Bally.

I don't get how can you judge the guy for this decision in a negative way! You do not know personally how bad his injury is, he knows his body better than anybody else and is only thinking about the rest of his career. There's a good chance that there will be other opportunities for him like this. Why risk your career at such a young age fair enough if he was ballack and this was going to be his last world cup and the injury wasn't as serious as his was maybe he could take the risk. He's also thinking about his Nigerian team mates, if he feels he cannot give 100% on the pitch throughout the tournament then it's best he doesn't play. Give the guy a break ffs.

I never for one minute thought Lamps or JT would leave. However there's a good chance Cole will do one when he gets the right offer.

He's still young so his decision to miss this world cup means that he may get another chance to play in another. If he goes to the world cup and ruins the rest of his career then he'll be gutted. I'm not his biggest fan but i think he's made the right decision.

Terry is not bigger than Chelsea & he is not bigger than England. Because of this reason I will always choose to support my country over a player unless he'd been really unfairly treated. I don't think he should of been stripped of the captaincy cause the other players are hardly angels themselves but you can't turn your back on your country because of one player. I'm sure JT would still support the country if he'd of been left out no matter how much it hurts cause he's that kinda guy. & BL it's about time someone did something!
