I don't think we've done any worse getting meireles over modric. We'd of been ripped off & paid over the odds for modric another player that would have the pressure of a huge price tag over his head. I'm happy with the signing of meireles & I think he's gonna have a great season. Could be a key player for us this season.

Meireles - 97 touches, 80 passes, 90% completion, 7 long balls, 2 through balls, 4 key passes, 4 interceptions Very impressed with him today, if he carries on playing the way he did, we have got a very very good signing.

I don't think he should be judged as a flop or not until the end of the season.

I agree that they would be. I don't even think Torres should of come on today, 10 mins on the pitch with no decent service has done him no good.

Torres shouldn't of came on in this game. More ammunition for the press and the anti Torres community that will continue to give him a hard time without taking into fact he was given 10 minutes with not decent service. Although I cannot defend that woeful pass at the end.

He's been on the pitch about 10 minutes with Anelka & Malouda. Not his fault they refuse to pass to him. Give him a full 90 mins with Mata & Meireles then judge him when he's got some proper service.

Wow, this was a game we shoulda killed off ages ago yet we managed to give ourselves a shaky finish. Today's performance overall was much better though but we're gonna have a tough time against United next week.
