Article from Teamtalk who has given Mr. Abramovich the title as the number one villain of the season, Totally agree in every word!. Let the Roman empire fall, so we can build a new Rome. 1. Roman Abramovich: Chelsea started the season on fire, scoring 21 goals, and conceding just one in their first five games. Many thought that they would breeze through the season untouched by even the likes of Manchester United, especially after winning the Double the previous year. But that wasn't the case, and come the end of January, Chelsea were fourth in the table, 10 points behind leaders United and needing some sort of miracle to have any chance of regaining the title. This hopeful miracle came in the form of Fernando Torres, who came to Chelsea from Liverpool for a British transfer record of £50million. A move which fans believe wasn't the doing of Carlo Ancelotti, but that of meddling owner Abramovich, who must ultimately shoulder the blame for the Blues' failure to lift any silverware this season. It's safe to say Torres didn't live up to this price tag, and it took him 14 games, and some pretty poor performances, just to net his first goal for the club. Even before the whole Torres saga, Chelsea had controversially sacked assistant manager Ray Wilkins in November. Wilkins insisted he knew nothing about the shock sacking before it happened, and was expecting to sign a new contract with the club, as his current deal was due to run out. After Wilkins was sacked, the Chelsea team was clearly rocked, and it showed as their subsequent form dropped rapidly. Wilkins is believed to have stood up to Abramovich's entourage in a training-ground incident - and getting rid of him robbed the players of a 'middle man' who they could confide in if they had any problems. Ancelotti claimed when Torres was signed that he had wanted him in the summer, but the way he failed to find a system in which the Spaniard could play with star striker Didier Drogba suggests otherwise. Abramovich sacked Ancelotti after their final-day-defeat to Everton, and although Blues fans were upset, the former AC Milan coach had had the look of a dead man walking for weeks. The Chelsea owner is desperate for Champions League glory and should have stood behind a man who has conquered Europe twice, taking a leaf out of Manchester United's book when it comes to backing a manager. As it is, the Blues are currently managerless, with Abramovich seemingly set to turn to Guus Hiddink this summer. But his antics this season meant he swept the board when it came readers nominating who they think has been the biggest Villain of the Season. http://www.teamtalk.com/news/2483/6963212/TEAMtalk-Soccers-Villain-of-the-Season

It has long been established Roman Abramovich views the Champions League as a Holy Grail. If the Russian truly believes Chelsea can play the Barcelona way purely by luring Pep Guardiola to Stamford Bridge, he is deluded. I know, out of context http://www.teamtalk.com/news/2483/6958110/Fergie-fronts-up-to-challenge

Thats the great thing about football, like some other mentioned here on the board, there is always next season.
-
Thats right. even then he didnt listen. Let the Roman empire fall, and lets build a new Rome.
-
He want the holy grail, thats the only thing he thinks about. By the way that should not be his job, it should be the coach and the coach only who told Roman which player he wants.
-
Serious what a lot of bullshit!. Even talking Africa vs South..., who gives a fuck as long they can play ball!.
-
Cool down, let the lad go on loan to Hamborg and get lots of play time. Tell me how is his changes to start permanent every time now and in the next let`s say 1-2 years?.. But he is a good player, but not better as the other midfielders at the moment. Give him time and let him fully developed in another club where he get play time. Arnesen is just using his connection, why making a big fuzz out of it?.
-
We dont know that for 100 % sure, do we?, and there was nothing to loose in ranking places. On the other hand your right about they should have gave him and themselves a respectful season ending. Terry made a statement a month ago that he and the players want to keep Ancelotti John Terry Chelsea skipper John Terry says the players are aware of rumours linking manager Carlo Ancelotti with a move away. But the defender insists all the squad want the Italian to stay."There's been no talk about changing him as far as I'm aware," he said. "The players are 100% behind him." This statement tells me that Roman don`t listen to the players, but hey no big suprise. And let me hear you (why should he?).
-
He hasnt learn jack shit!, then he wouldnt have sacked Carlo.
-
This photo is killing me
-
8 No doubt when that happen your right ( our memories are short). But if it doesnt happen don`t you think little Roman then will beginn to feel some deserved BIG pressure?.
-
No man is above the club, not even a owner, never!.
-
Ok, thats your opinion.
-
A discussing can be a beginning to change something or not, at least your not silent.
-
I have never called him stupid, i know he got brain.
-
Why?
-
Yes Roman has done good things for Chelsea, no doubt. Still your a ranking him to high and thats my point of trouble for Chelsea. No matter what he does it right!, somekind of god, thats wrong, and what he is doing now is wrong. We question every player and how many coaches?, but big Roman, no no, he got the money therefore he is right; NO HE ISNT!.
-
No. It says your willing to expend your toy collection contineusly.
-
Thats the true, and we will survive him to. But i just think its important we stand at our belives and tells him enough is enough. And maybe just maybe The little Roman can feel and taste his own medizine: Pressure.
-
8 True. But money cant buy your a soul. If this is it, i would rather playing championship and have my dignaty instead of being a toy for one mans dream, the whole world is looking at us now and thinking and saying: DISGRACE
-
Respect: The way Carlo got sacked says everything about what he stands for. I truely belive this is the beginning of the end for "The Roman Empire" and all his followers. I look for to the day it will happen.
-
Abramovich is a DISGRACE, and all his Disciple makes me sick!.
-
Well said. What really worries me are us fans not saying jack shit about it?. My opinion is that its the wrong banners hanging at Stamford. This guys can do what he wants and we all says da, instead of nyeh.
-
Carlos Ancelotti is a top notch coach and will rise again just you wait and see!. Yes he made mistake, but really does not every coach do that in every season?. And why always blame the coach and not the players?. My rage is against Abramovich, im so feet up with this guys way of treating people, thats really the disgrace. And please get rid of this shit banner "roman whatever... . I need to cool down
-
Why not, he is the only one who knows what the word respect really means, the rest forget it, bunch of gold diggers.
