  1. Did anyone catch Aldridge on Sky Sports going on and on about Torres? His latest classy comment "I refuse to wish him well". It's been almost 3 months since Torres left Liverpool, probably three of the longest months of his career. He's handled himself with professionalism and grace in a very public situation. Its evident his teammates like him no matter what anybody else says. Yet the damn Scousers can't seem to let it go. It's pathetic and sad. I guess their true colors are revealed - best fans in the world? Sure, if you want myopic fans who can't think for themselves.
  2. I've ended my self-imposed media boycott now that Torres has scored. Maybe Jamie is right and this is why Torres scored. No matter how nice the place, it's always nice to be home. Torres moved into his house
  3. I'm not a fan of the longer hair myself but......... the long blonde hair (is that next?), alice band, baggy shirt, I'm all for if it gets him scoring.
  4. 1. He didn't even need to remove the initial post 2. Why should he apologize? For being a decent young man? For congratulating a friend? There are too many stupid, narrow minded people out there who think being supportive of your team gives you the right to be a first class a-hole and hide behind the anonymity of the Internet.
  5. What the hell was he doing during that interview? Can't watch that without laughing or smiling. Good day all around. Loved Luiz at the very end.
  6. I think a few of us might have been saying the same thing.
  7. How sad is it that its a Saturday night and I'm watching tv and trolling a football forum? I feel old. Don't care - Chelsea won, Torres scored, and everybody was happy.
  8. The users on the forum have been welcoming to new forum members like myself. Makes it easy to wander around the site and drop in an insightful (LOL) comment or two. I visit a lot of forums for work, youth soccer (you want to talk about some crazies posting there!), and other interests. Some forums treat newbies like they should be ignored or insulted. Appreciate the dialogue here and the ease of use.
  9. How do you really feel? There are a lot of bitter people in the world who somehow manage to have access to computers, smartphones (oxymoron for some).
  10. By all accounts, Torres is a player that Dani has looked up to being a LFC player when Dani came over and being a Spanish icon. Torres and his wife took him under their wing and Torres was like a big brother to him. I guess its too difficult for some to understand friendship. Sometimes fans are too dumb for their own good. Even Shrek tweeted congrats to Torres (Wazzaroon08 - Happy for Torres. Great striker) .
  11. Torres and Drogba Interview after the match A good moment
  12. Torres Medical Before Transfer "Benched once again was Torres, who Chelsea now admit did not undergo a full medical before his ill-starred transfer from Liverpool." Is the National trying to say Torres had an injury or something?
  13. You hate the ones you love the most and it appears to be true for scousers. The finish today of Torres was great. Left footed, head down, he knew where he was on the field and FINALLY! Good day for football.
  14. Liverpool fans abusing Dani Pacheco (@dani37pacheco) on twitter for congratulating Torres for scoring. Dani has since removed the post. Posts left up said how much Torres helped him as a person and what a Spanish hero he was to him and he was happy for him and his family. Liverpool fans are morons.
  15. I'm so relieved for Torres to get the monkey off his back. I can only imagine the pressure off Carlo, the team, and Fernando especially. That cross by Cole for Lampard's goal - world class stuff there.
  16. I had to double check and make sure I'd paid the internet bill.
  17. Beside the goal (FINALLY!!!), when he got the ball back from the West Ham defender was my favorite Torres moment. The "assist" to Malouda was different but a good "moment". It really did seem the entire team was happy for him and that was fantastic to see. I think it points to Torres not being a disruptive ass in the locker room or training ground and wanting to help the team.
  18. Saw that too - it's only the scousers who hate Torres (and the media).
  19. I think most of us agree the 4-4-2 doesn't work for Chelsea or for Torres. The 4-3-3 works best for Chelsea is the consensus. In any games Torres has played, has he been the central player in the line? I'm just curious.
  20. When I watch Torres play with the Spanish National Team he always looks out of sort and like an ok, nothing special player. This goes back to Euro Cup. I never thought I'd see him in another side where he looks so out of sorts..... until he put on the Chelsea shirt. I don't know if it's tactics, confidence, Carlo, or what but this is not the Torres I love to watch play.
  21. Thanks for putting in the part about the translation from a Romanian author. Torres scored 9 goals with an iffy Liverpool team coming back from injury. At Chelsea, he's actually healthy and playing the worst I've seen him play in half a dozen years.
  22. If I was Roman.... to be Roman for a day. I could live off that.
  23. http://www.vipcanals.net/ch1.html This one is finally working for me
