  1. If you're still looking. http://www.firstrowsports.eu/webmaster/Live-Football-Stream/77078/1/watch-rangers-fc-vs-chelsea.html
  2. Guardian article about Oriol written by Sid Lowe who writes for the Guardian and follows Spanish football closely. A few tidbits: Bigger and stronger than most of his Barcelona team-mates at 6ft 1in and 13 stone, Romeu is the least "Barça" of the Barça midfielders. Physical, well positioned, tactically bright but less precise in his passing, less rapid, less smooth, in possession. Luis Enrique, his coach for Barça B, notes his attitude and presence rather than his eye for a pass. As Martí Perarnau, the most diligent observer of Barcelona's youth set-up puts it: "Oriol is solidario. He never abandons his team-mates. He reaches every corner and covers every gap. He gives balance in the middle, allowing the rest to construct with freedom, and he goes into challenges strongly and decisively. He enjoys winning the ball back and pressuring the opposition. Sometimes, though, he is hasty in the transition of the ball." he is described by the Spain Under-21 manager, Luis Milla, as a player who "is always well positioned, tactically". Romeu, he adds, "uses the ball correctly in possession and always does the simple thing. He is a necessary component in any football team." André Villas-Boas certainly thinks so. "Romeu," he says, "is one of the midfielders with the greatest potential there is. He has a brilliant future."
  3. Have seen him play in the U20 WC. Very solid player, plays a deeper role for Spain, comfortable on the ball, not a physical lightweight either. I think AVB made a good decision. And yes, it won't hurt him to have another Spaniard in the club.
  4. The LFC fans on twitter are losing their collective minds over the supposed comments by Torres. Torres is notorious for NOT doing print media interviews. When he does its rare and usually with a Spanish paper. So why would he do a Swedish exclusive? LFC fans need to use a little common sense (I know they don't have that in spades). If any of them had actually looked at the Swedish paper the interview was a rehash of articles after Torres left LFC. One picture was even taken from the CFC magazine. I hope Torres scores in front of the Kop next year and kisses the Chelsea badge. That would cause the Kop and RAWK to have a meltdown.
  5. I forgot all about Hansen. I have to give the prick edge to Aldridge. What is it with the English media and former LFC players everywhere? Thank God for Pat and Ray but they're shouted down by the red brigade.
  6. Every year Liverpool is out of the CL is a good year. Have you seen Liverpool's defending this pre-season? It's been sh*t and that's kind.
  7. Aldridge is like a bitter woman who got dumped for the newer trophy wife. I'm not wasting another post on that pr*ck... until he bashes Chelsea and/or Torres again and goes on about how unfaithful Torres was. Back to AVB. I have no answer how successful AVB will or won't be. I want to be supportive and positive because God knows the media is more than ready for anything Chelsea related to fail. The team does seem to have a more positive energy about it than last season but it's early yet and everybody feels positive at the beginning. AVB seems to be driven to succeed and willing to give the players a kick in the butt if needed (I hope!). Fingers crossed that AVB and CFC have a good season. I'm cautiously optimistic (and believe me I'm not the pollyanna type).
  8. I think so would Roman. Don't know why or how to explain it but I think winning the PL is more likely than winning the CL.
  9. Agree with you 100% on Aldridge. I see or hear his name I tune it out.
  10. Its ONLY pre-season but I've seen United and City play on their little American adventure. United has looked good tbh. City has looked ehhhh. Some halves decent, some awful, some good. That's just based on pre-season games only. I'm not sold on City except for David Silva who is a little genius out there.
  11. Playing central role in front of the back line. Haven't seen him on the ball too much tbf.
  12. Just got himself a yellow card for a challenge.
  13. Always thought Torres was a baby but next to Josh.... I feel old.
  14. Thanks for the report which I read from the twitter feed. It'll have to hold me until I can watch the replay at 2 pm So Cal time. I planned to watch the DVR recording but it seems my 16 year old was recording old "Miami Ink" episodes.
  15. I can drive 100 miles a day for work, daughter's practice, etc. I complain about the early kickoff but can't complain about the weather here in So Cal. 75-80 degrees F at the coast, minimal humidity.
  16. I get a daily email that shows games on TV for the day/week. For some reason it didn't show either Chelsea or Asia Trophy Final. I found it on the DISH page finally. Showing on FSC starting at 5:30 AM California time.
  17. Does anybody want to come to Chelsea?
  18. I'm not believing anything until I see the fat man (Gourlay) posing on the CFC website with Pastore.
  19. Bob Bradley fired as USMNT head coach. Don't think he'll be missed by many.
  20. Pro-Torres since he wore the red at Atletico. Not immune to his faults as a player nor do I think he's the anti-Christ that some make him out to be. I want him to do well for himself and for Chelsea. Him continuing to struggle does neither himself nor Chelsea any good. No matter what any of us say here or the rags, Torres knows he is at Chelsea to score goals. I'll continue to support him like I always have and hope he and Chelsea both find the football Gods smiling down on them.
