  1. Work computer blocks everything. Somewhere else said formation might be 4-2-3-1 with Torres up top, Mata behind, and Ramires right and Malouda left. Beats me.
  2. My hope is Malouda plays within the team and doesn't try shooting from ridiculous angles at 25 yards.
  3. Chelsea subs Turnbull, Ivanovic, Romeu, Meireles, Drogba, Kalou, Anelka. No Sturridge on the bench.
  4. Valencia starting per @espanafutbol: D Alves, Miguel, Rami, Victor Ruiz, Jordi Alba, Albelda, Ever, Pablo, Canales, Mathieu, Soldado Rumor Lampard is starting tonight.
  5. You, sir, are correct and that's what I get for multi-tasking and not paying attention.
  6. Perreira, Josh, and Alex didn't get to participate in the Spanish road trip.
  7. Torres - does seem he is a lightning rod wherever he goes. Mata may get some "love" because some Valencia fans weren't too thrilled with Mata Sr who is also his agent. A few comments I heard "hate to see Mata leave, not sorry to see his dad go".
  8. Spanish fans are just as likely to boo as they are to cheer for some players. No love lost between Barca and RM. Not until the recent successes of the NT have Spanish fans been able to put aside their club loyalties and cheer for the entire NT. Some RM fans still have a difficult time cheering for Xavi on the NT and the same with Barca fans and say Ramos. There are a lot of politics too that drive the cheering or booing. When Torres played against RM at Madrid in the CL with LFC, he got nothing but abuse from the Madrid fans. Their favorite chant was a Spanish version of your an SOB. He seemed to relish it and scored than pointed to the name on the shirt so I don't think he's worried about any booing or chants.
  9. I don't think they'll boo Mata too much. A few might but not like if Chelsea were going to Madrid or Barcelona. Then Torres would catch holy hell.
  10. Funny, yet unsurprising. And the English media wonder why he doesn't do print interviews with them. If the clueless wonders had actually watched the entire interview on CTV after the match, he seemed very calm and relaxed. He was very appreciative of the fans and smiled when asked about walking to the Bridge. Take one word out of the entire interview and the media spins it into he was ready to jump off the nearest cliff.
  11. ack17 - thanks for posting the video. The more I see of him, the more I like him.
  12. The first time I heard the song on the radio with my daughter I couldn't believe it was actually a song. This version is pretty stupid too but it makes me laugh.
  13. Funny, maybe smart how on this interview they didn't include the part about walking to the Bridge.
  14. I meant I completely agree with you. Hoping to see more goals in CL games and look forward to a sharp and rested October return.
  15. You're not kidding. I'm waiting for double digit goals and a compilation. He better not make us wait too much longer.
  16. I don't think we'll ever really know. Scousers are convinced he screwed them over and took the money and run. Some of them seem to think the 50M was paid to him personally. They seem to forget he was the fastest to 50 goals in a LFC shirt. They say they're over him yet they continue to prove they're not. Plus I think where we're seeing positives from Torres in a blue shirt, can they same of Carroll in a red shirt?
  17. I'm sharing this with every scouser nut job I know.
  18. Success! Thank you to all who walked me through it. Sent this to a LFC acquantance. Sacrilege they said.
  19. I must be having a senior, blonde, dumbass moment. I still can't do it.
  20. How do I put a picture in a post? I'm trying cut and paste and I can't do the paste.
  21. Watched the match on CTV again. Loved one comment from the Chelsea announcer, Ben Andrews, after Torres red card: there must be a voodoo doll of him out there somewhere. At the end they interviewed Cech and Torrres. Cech said a clean sheet would be nice but he'd rather have a 2-1 win than a 0-0 draw. Asked Torres about the red card. Said it was his first in the PL and hopefully his last. Said he tried to pull his leg back but he arrived late and didn't mean to hurt the player or put pressure on the team. Asked about his relationship with the fans. Said its easy for the fans to love and support you when you're doing well. They've been behind him since day 1 and wherever he sees them in the street, cafe, they are supportive. Asked about how he gets to work. Said he's been doing it for a while and he can do it in England and in Spain he'd never be able to. He likes to see the atmosphere but now it might be a little more difficult since people know he walks to work. Doubt he's walking to work when we play Liverpool.
  22. http://twitpic.com/6qep5e They really are a cute family. They look like any other family out there for a stroll.
  23. I'm telling you its the hair (longer, lighter) and the new boots. Two games with the new boots, two goals, two other unexplainable moments.
