As far as Ivanovic is concerned, he'll get starting XI even if Luiz(not against S'land yet) starts, in my eyes anyway as Ivan is a world class right back, he played that role superbly last season and start of this one. Someone mentioned the 4-1-2-1-2 formation, seems sweet. All of a sudden we seem to have OPTIONS. When Zhirkov, Alex and Benayoun return, we'll have world class bench aswell. Lets hope for the best blues!

I've got no doubt Torres will be a success. Sure, he has not one of his best season but he is 26 - at his prime and a good 5 years on top level. He will probably cost us (deal's not done) 48-50 mil but Liverpool paid 35-40 for Carroll - nobrainer for me, I'd pick Torres any day,every day. He'll be a star. How do you expect him to peak if he is playing week in, week out in an environment he doesn't want to be in, lies lies and lazy team mates.

Exactly! He won the World Cup. And how can he perform at his best when he physically and mentally DOES NOT want to play for Liverpool anymore. Plus Carrol has had a good season where as Torres hasn't. That having said Carroll has scored only two goals more and some quite funny ones - for example the scramble against Chelsea. In Torres I trust.
