  1. Unbelievable player, i pray he can be a CB version of Zlatan and last till 40.
  2. Nah nothing will top that Wigan game in 10/11, we were shocking but scored in our only six ventures forward
  3. Still feel a bit deflated despite the score, big big improvement needed.
  4. Ive already mentally prepared for a leveller, first time I've felt like this since this fixture in Conte's second season.
  5. I can but that's more because of how bad they are than anything else.
  6. We *should* pipe Arsenal by default if nothing else but I'm seriously concerned about the Villa game. Grealish and Watkins will seriously punish us if we play like this.
  7. He's looking like the man manager type that needs high quality for his system to work. Which isn't bad in itself especially with the upsides he does bring (recruitment, man management etc) but it will cost.
  8. Ive got £20 set aside for comfort Domino's just incase this goes wrong.
  9. Say what you like about Marcos but he does have an upside of some substance even if we only see it once every six games, what does Emerson offer? This would be the type of game Alonso scores in.
  10. I don't mind the idea of Werner or even Mount being emergency 4th choice winger (if we have 4 out and out wingers they'll always be one starved of game time badly). But need to use him better tactically. Could argue if Pulisic injury record doesn't improve Werner LF and someone like Haaland coming in could be the way forward.
  11. Tbh we did have a lot of promising performances last season despite a reverse. I got a lot of stick for raving about our display at The Ethiad despite defeat but to outfootball a Pep side going toe to toe was outstanding.
  12. Tbh this is one I will happily say Lampard is at total fault for, probably my second biggest frustration with him after out of form Kante being shoehorned in at all costs last season. Werner on the left can work but he has to be an inside forward, he's being used as a hug the touchline winger which is just wrong.
  13. Glad everyone's looking beyond the score on this, wish this will happen more often when this is reversed.
  14. Torres wouldn't even get in the positions to miss those chances. Strange as this will sound pre context Torres was actually pretty clinical when he got the chance, his issue was he was so shit tactically he won't often get them. If Nando was genuinely a shit finisher he wouldn't have even made it to double figures for us.
  15. Gunna put this out there, Callum has outperformed Pulisic lately.
  16. If it weren't for Silva this would be 1-1, if not 1-2.
  17. Werner needs to play closer to Tammy.
  18. At the risk of jinxing Boxing Day this seems like a reverse situation to Leicester winning the title, at this stage people were saying (about Leicester) "looks promising but surely not?" similar noises about Arsenal in reverse are slowly coming to the surface. Also we have them at home 3rd last game i think, just imagine if we send them down..
  19. Happy with that bar Jorgo in for Kova. Despite scoring at Wolves Oli's form has gone out of the window and Havertz needs a Pulisic esque spell out of the firing line.
  20. Problem with Kepa is he hasn't atall responded well to Mendy's arrival. Last year despite everything we had two things to cling onto A) for all the tame shots going in he wasn't making many if any spectacular meme like errors and B ) the hope the main issue was the lack of competition and it made him complacent. This season he started knowing Mendy was coming in and if he had anything about him that would have triggered a response but instead he's got even worse. If the reports are true that he's kept his head up then props to him but i don't want to see him in our shirt again, if god for bid Mendy goes down we should go down the route Klopp did and pick Ziger.
  21. None would be great there but if it ultimately came down to it Pulisic.
  22. And unlike United didn't concede a shit load of chances.
  23. Also when we go to Elland Road we really need the Puli, Werner and CHO front three if all fit, the pace against such an open system is a killer, an awful Dan James looked like a world beater today.
