  1. It was but they don't even try that with Mendy in goal. Tielmens said himself he was told to hit it.
  2. A bit late to the party here but it absolutely was the right call to give Bettenelli 90 minutes under his belt. We're Kepa catching Covid away from him having to face City or Spurs.
  3. https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2022/1/8/22872652/Chelsea-chesterfield-live-stream-time-tv-channels-how-to-watch-fa-cup-third-round-online @OhForAGreavsie your question fully covered here. First non league opponent at The Bridge in the cup (and i'm assuming in any competitive full stop) since 1914-15, that Scarborough game is the only one we've had in any capacity since.
  4. There was Scarborough in 2004 but other than that I'm trumped.
  5. Translation: He's not letting them piss about and smile while they constantly fail like Ole did.
  6. It may backfire next week but it's quite poetic how he's now banging on about how much better our B team is than the team he's managing (which had a near full strength lineup) after pulling the exact same nonsense with us. If he behaved himself properly he'll likely still be here.
  7. Seeing Conte constantly bang on about how great we are is hilarious. Talk about full circle.
  8. So this is what playing against us in 17/18 felt like....
  9. Gutted it's only 2, the tie should be over let alone the game.
  10. Painful at the minute but hopefully it works in our favour as we get to the business end. Having to fit an unprecedented load of fixtures in should end the already in my opinion slim chances of any of the one's below catching us.
  11. In other words. Ronaldo coming in with demands to actually win has made a bunch of players getting an easy ride for underachieving for so long feel uncomfortable and out of their depth.
  12. Never made such a 180 turn as I did that day. Any other time I've veered towards wanting a manager out it's been a slow burn over months. Before that game I was very much on the train of give him a season to redime himself, that game turned me with no going back.
  13. Showing frustration is fine, chucking in the towel however is unforgivable. His little paddy cost us top four and indirectly started Liverpool's dominance. Even if that happened (which I'm very doubtful about as still to this day the only witness is Jose) it was one fan and he threw the entire fanbase under the bus for it. But one thing I will give him, atleast he waited until he was actually at another club before he threw the support we gave him back in our faces.
  14. Courtois won both those trophies plus an additional PL and league cup. Does the same apply to him?
  15. I've never seen such a PR exercise in all my life and I've spent the last year laughing at Arsenal for the lengths they go to for Arteta.
  16. Nothing justifies months taking the piss out the club and entire fanbase.
  17. If Conte gets cheered after the way he behaved (especially by any fan who went to that game at The Ethiad) then that makes them doormats in my book.
  18. As a winger I'm dubious but as a wingback absolutely. If Klopp was playing 3atb he'd have signed him already.
  19. Apparently Dwight McNeil is available for Β£40m, if true we should be absolutely all over that. Tailor made for the wingback role and crucially is a different profile of player to James and Chilwell (in layman's terms natural winger).
  20. No lol that last bit was a figure of speech. But when I do I pay a shit load to get there and unless it's a 3 o clock kick off i have to stay in London overnight (due to infrequent transport where I am), then there's the ticket, food etc, at best I'm talking Β£200 a visit. If someone's doing similar tomorrow and feels Lukaku has took the piss out of the club and shows their frustration, then I personally think it's fair game aslong as it all remains strictly in a professional sense.
  21. No one seemed to mind when it was Sarri and Jorginho. Like i said I don't agree with it myself and hope the reaction will be indifference but if someone using their hard earned money to go tomorow want to show their annoyance with the guy I won't be arguing with them.
  22. I personally don't agree with booing but my stance on others doing it is this. Fans spend their hard earned money to attend games, some spend beyond what they reasonably should, some probably don't have a brilliant quality of life outside of attending Chelsea games because that's where all their disposable income goes. If they want to show their annoyance with his behaviour I absolutely won't be holding it as a black mark against them. Unless ofcourse it gets personal or god for bid worse but that's a totally different argument.
  23. Wenger called it a few years back. It's a reaction to the inflated fees, it's impossible for top players to get out of even middling clubs if they have a long contract (Kane and Zaha).
  24. Time will do it's thing. He'll do something stupid again soon enough.
  25. The part that blows my mind the most is he apparently idolises Drogba. He literally couldn't be so different from Didier in both playing style and mentality. He obviously can't help not being as naturally gifted as Drogs but you would think his mentality would have rubbed off on him a bit. On a separate note, Lukaku vs Drogba is the perfect case study on why you can't solely judge forwards on goal stats alone.
