If his idea of being backed is spending £130m on three decent but not world class full backs along with the £50m on Stones then i hope he never gets fully "backed". Ultimately our way isn't without flaws but we have managed to assemble two title winning squads for quite good money in today's market. As for 15/16 the problem's that season went far beyond the transfer window and that season would have hit the toilet even if Jose got Stones and Pogba.

So you are using a shitty twitter source to continue your board vendetta ?

I would say they are more than outsiders, i think they don't have much of a chance at-all. It's part of the narrative to cover up what has been a failure of a first season, despite the two trophies. He has been banging on about how 'easy' it is without Europe and hard with it to make it sound impossible to do better with Europa commitments (even tho Rafa ironically done exactly that) to make it look like he was doing a good job merely challenging for top 4 then he spun the narrative that he gave up on top 4 to cover the fact they just weren't good enough. And then there's the supposed dominant games at Old Trafford where they allegedly battered team but only drew, to be fair it did happen twice vs Stoke and Burnley but since then Jose and United fans claim they battered any team they created more chances but dropped points again. 19 times out of 20 the bigger team creates more chances than the lesser side.

Constant injury problems and reliant on athleticism, got Torres/Essien decline written all over him.

Making a point rationally is not overeacting. People moaning acting like the world will end after losing a freindly to Bayern or say "the board are sleeping" 4 days after we smash our transfer record is ridiculous, overreaction isn't actually a strong enough word.
-
I think he could have a big future here, but he is unlikely to be a starting Xl player immediately. Will he accept getting slowly bleed in over 1 or maybe even 2 years, or will he do a Lukaku and demand to go?
-
Think this will happen on deadline day.

Bitter sweet!!!

Educated guess, i should have presented the post better (as i made it sound like i had inside info haha). Matt Law has since said that was the case and i can't recall any seriously links to any player other than Stones and Pogba (in CB and CM) circa 2015 compared to Conte's first summer when we where strongly linked to numerous CB's Bonucci, Koulibaly, Rudiger, Maksimovic before "settling" on Luiz.
-
Do you not get bored of being constantly negative?
-
The board should have overruled Jose when it was clear Stones and Pogba weren't coming, so in that regard they deserve there slice of the blame but Jose's reluctance to offer plan bs was the main reason we fell hard that summer.
-
Well this is awkward
-
Semedo had his heart set on Barca,.
-
It's not cursed, we just kept giving it to shit footballers.
-
Furthermore, if he was going to rage quit it was never going to be this summer. He won't leave without at least one shot at the CL.
-
There's one thing being better prepared and there's another thing actually countering it properly. Conte's Juve never really got found it, well not domestically anyway.
-
£85m on two sub standard right backs but we should be following City's model apparently
-
Main reason for Hazard going up a level this season is the close link up's he has enjoyed with Alonso and Pedro, the 3-4-3 has allowed that to happen. Changing to 3-5-2 would take away that instantly. I just can't see it ever being our main formation while Eden's here.
-
I was adding my thought's to your post, not implying you were one of the suspect's in question.
-
The extreme odds are he was a troll all along. I think you staff do a great job all in all but if there's one area i will be (constructively) critical about is how long trolls get away with reigning terror on here before they get outed ( badboyblue another example).
-
Bertrand at wing back would be suicide.
-
We will never play 352 while Eden's here bar late on in games and some big un's. Plus it's not as easy as saying Baka and Kante to do all the defensive work for him, Cesc would still leave hole's for team's to exploit. Plus there's the stamina issue, it's no coincidence this year is the first time for years he has performed well late in the season, starting him week in week out will just end up with him being tanked by new year again.
-
The irony about people idolizating City's policy is the same suspect's would be the first to relentlessly moan if we spunked a combined £150m on Walker, Stones and Sterling.

Also what needs to be factored in is last 4 season's they have finished between 4th to 7th with points in the 60's (once 70). I know we went from 10th to 1st but the 10th place was a fluke among many years of being late 70's at worst point's wise, United have been at a pre Roman Chelsea like level since Fergie has gone and it will be hard to shift from 4 years of that to find the consistency required for a title challenge, especially against the elite competition.
