  1. We can't really compare one situation to another, for Depay you can say Suarez.
  2. We would have to epically collapse to let United back in and i can't see Arsenal doing enough either, i would say them both winning (or fluking in United's case) the European competitions with us in 4th is a bigger danger to our CL place than either overhauling us.
  3. Little extreme to say reborn, for perspective Sherwood had a similar start at Spurs and they beat Fulham by a similar score under Jose to OGS first two games. Anyway the ideal situation for all United's rivals is Solsjkear does a decent enough job so the United board get caught up in the romantic ideal of a Fergie player being Fergie mark 2 because Poch with the funds United will give him will be a huge problem.
  4. You've taken that well out of context. I meant the pattern of the game is clear ie whether it will be a frustrating game where we create fuck all or an open game, not per se the result. For example it was evident early on against Liverpool the game plan was working well but against Spurs it, well, wasn't. In general the pattern of our game is often clear from the off which is the opposite to Conte's or Jose's era where we often would start well and suddenly turn shit mid way through the first half, or vice versa. As for today, this will contradict my line at the top but i wasn't concerned really, i felt we were controlling the game and would grind them down sooner or later, which we did, felt the same vs Watford!
  5. We had/have about as much chance of signing Mbappe as Middlesbrough. Firstly he was a die hard Paris fan and even if he wasn't many other clubs would be ahead of us in the que.
  6. Hopefully that's the end of this urban myth that Zaha always plays well against us.
  7. Neither Mason or Tammy will command the type of interest CHO is, and both seem desperate to make it here anyway especially the former.
  8. That logic doesn't reallt work because if CHO does get sold it's not something we are doing by choice.
  9. Lets wait until if/when it happens for this because the timing makes absolutely no logical sense. If he was offski it would have been in the pipeline for a relative while and i doubt he would have been included in any match day squad of late, let alone play a big part only two days ago. Furthermore his twitter posts after playing doesn't have the aura of someone with one foot out of the door.
  10. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/10/19/pep-guardiola-does-not-expect-jadon-sancho-return-manchester/ Sorry he said does not expect but with the way Pep operates (rumour has it he blacklists players who reject him) thats as good as saying never.
  11. Pep's ruled out him going back while he's there, so if he makes his big move before PG leaves City are out of the game buy back or not.
  12. Given we smashed our transfer record replacing Costa and Tibo im fairly certain we would do likewise if god forbid Hazard left.Whether we get the replacement right is another matter but for sure we would go big.
  13. Can't see it tbh, Emery's defensive structure is so bad even prime Maldini would struggle.
  14. For the most part the pattern of our games were clear early on and you've named one of the very few exceptions, im talking about the shape of the game more so than the results per se.
  15. One thing i have noticed this season is i can in the main suss out what type of game we will be playing within the first ten minutes. The last two matches for example, i knew from the early play Leicester was going to be a massive struggle but i was not overly concerned at any point at Vicarage Road even after the equalizer, i felt we had control and would grind them down, which we did.
  16. He can do both pretty well from what i have seen.
  17. Problem is, why does it keep happening to Jose? It's a similar song at Real, Chelsea and now United and he's the only common factor all three times. I don't think it's downing tools per se (in my opinion thats an overhyped cliche to hide managerial failings) i think he mentally ruined most of his squad to the point it was affecting their personal lives aswell as professional ones.
  18. Ronaldo's flopped in all but one CL final for Real but his teammates dug him out, he failed to find the get out of jail card many times in La Liga hence only 2 titles in 9 years and i think only 2 challenges alongside. Plus we have more poor games than Real and Barca.
  19. Because you made it sound like a bad thing he doesn't do what he did in 2015 every time we have a rut. Now you're just cherry picking average to poor games, you could do the same with Pele if you tried hard enough, his goal/assist numbers was the major material people had against him now he's providing those numbers and he's still getting criticised.
  20. The problem is it's hard to tell who will keep up a good level, on paper Rooney should have gone well into his 30's while Giggs should have lost it early 30's but the reality was the opposite. At that age father time is potentially a stones throw away, players often lose their powers almost overnight. While i can agree the odd exception should be made i am very happy to know we won't let the grass grow under our feet again.
  21. So he has to single handedly drag us through every shit period to be deemed worthy enough? The reason i brought up 2015 is because UJ implied he never steps up when the chips are down, which couldn't be further from the truth. And if you want to go down the here and now route, he has scored 6 winning goals 2 of which late on in the cup while only second behind Lionel Messi on goal contributions, i would say he's doing just fine.
  22. Define dragging over the line now, im assuming you don't mean he should be single handedly keeping us up with City or Liverpool or is fair game to be slated, do you?
  23. The club are probably wary of another situation akin to the start of this decade where our squad was 2/3rds over 30, most got stagnant and we were faced with a massive rebuilding job almost overnight.
