Good one ... Lets keep the generosity going ... they didnt have a goal in so many games, lets open up for them. What next, they are about to become one of the team to have a worst start by losing all their match .. hmm, fingers crossed.
-
Dont u? P.S. Just kidding!!!
-
Thats true ... But they did reasonably well when Kane was out. We dont depend on our #9 but we do depend a lot on Hazard and City again showed that once u isolate him, we run out of ideas. Bats not replacing Morata straight away on Sunday makes you think if Conte is convinced/confident about him. That could be a big worry for us plus the fact that we dont have a 3rd striker. Maybe we can gamble with one of our young guns.

Very bad game for us ... City & Pep literally exposed all our weakness. This was one of those games where losing was not the issue but how we did is the worry. It seem like a practice match where City was told to attack while Chelsea was to defend and still we were not in our elements. - Strategy was average. Not sure why did William came on as a sub when u have a second striker in place. No Moses was a surprise. - In game we were average, passing all over the place, positioning was not there, intelligence in the game was missing. We did have few good moments but they were far too less for a team who are Champions playing at home. - We didnt exploit their left side despite the fact that they had Delap there, if I m correct the first real chance on our right came in around the 65th-70th min. We made Delap look like a WC player - Lack of quality on the bench is killing us. Plus too much dependency on Hazard is a big worry. - The point for taking Fabergas is to move the ball from our half into the other ... he just didnt have any impact, kept falling deeper & deeper. - City managed to dictate an away game at the home of the Champions despite not having Augero, Kompany, Mendy & Toure in their 11 is a real worry for us. City & United looks too strong and the only team to offer them some competition is suppose to be Chelsea but going by yesterday game we are way behind them. Hope Chelsea as a club realizes that if they want to be ambitious they need to help their manager in achieving that ambition & not side lining him.

Perfect gameplan for Morata ... 2 up front all time, for me that is his strength when he plays alongside another player up front not along (he is trying to adapt to the single striker format but it isnt his strength) . Our 3-4-3 was crying out for change with Morata in and have to say very impress with the change that Conte put in.

It was a strange day for us, there was pretty much all the elements in the game expect the goals. We were in it the first 15 mins and then Arsenal came back, they showed determination which I was a little surprised by specially whatever is happening there. I thought we were missing a Drogba/Costa type of striker for that little something, having said that Morata's hold up play was really good. It will take him more time and us (someone like me) to get accustomed. Hindsight after seeing Bakayoko play I felt Fabregas wasnt the right choice to start but then had Pedro convert that lob/pass from Fabregas and it could had been a different view. Luiz was brilliant until he had that brain fart and not sure why Hazard didnt start specially when he did for his national side, reserve game, was a substitute in the last game. All in all, Arsenal were there for the taking and we missed it ... 2 points lost of us is how I would sum it ...

I take your feedback.

I understand different position, different skill set, etc, etc ... All I m trying to point is that Mahrez is a player who was available (thats what it seems like) and would have added quality to our squad whereas Drinkwater could just be someone who would sit on the bench & wouldnt a level up then what we already have ... thats where the comparison in terms of quality . I cant help if that message wasnt conveyed correctly with my limited English skills. And yes, Dembele is no way worth £100m even if Neymar is "worth" his fee.
-
Brilliant assumption. It could very well be right.
-
Mate, are u supporting player power? Can you imagine our manager doing what Costa is doing and still staying at the club? I understand that our strikers are no where the level that Costa is but he could have also handled this situation in a decent way instead of creating so much chaos. The manager's head is always on the line so I strongly hope that Conte doesnt apologies first, it should be Costa doing it with a public apology and then acknowledging his support to the club. Else we already have the reverse team or he can stay in Brazil paying fines to us.

He left because he wanted to leave and from the looks of it he would have mentioned the same to the club. Being a well known player doesnt qualify been a world class player and u dont need anyone to tell that he is just a potential. FYI, Danillo came from Madrid as well. I m sure you're not counting him as a world class. We should pay more now on any player because we need them + the market is getting crazy with every passing season ... we need to strengthen ourselves so that we can fight for the title again plus with CL there would be more games to play. And on the ONE good season thing, Demeble went for 100m based on ONE good Season, Mendy for 45m - ONE good season, Silva - 45m ONE good season, Bakayoko -38m ONE good season, Arsenal put a bid of 92m for Lemar -ONE good season, Coutinho ... bid of 100+ - ONE & half good season, thats all i could remember. Ohh yes, Mhappe -ONE good season.
-
If the news are to be believed Leicester were ready to sell both otherwise why would a player take leave for a day from national duty ... doesnt make any sense. The point is we didnt go after him when we easily could have. What is so special about Morata ... he is just a potential like the others we got, doesnt qualify as a world class player yet ... long way from that. And who said that we only want players around the 30m mark, thats ridiculous. And lastly let not ponder on valuations because as everyone knows the market is getting crazier ... that doesnt mean we will stop buying players just because they are over 30m. 45m-50m is the new 20-25m.
-
No i havent been following ... Whats your point? That we let go off Mahrez so we could get Drinkwater to fill our HG quota Is that you mean? If yes, why didnt we bid for both ... Mahrez was available, he was roaming around waiting for someone to come and get him. And YES I m aware that we are an English club just like every other club in the PL. We always were less in the homegrown dept, it's nothing new this season.
-
Thx Love ... Apologies if I was too aggressive, was very frustrated with the transfer window.
-
What does that got to do with signing a good player because we signed Zappacosta for 25 and he is unknown. The market is insane and 45 right now for a good player is a steal.
-
First thing first, I dont want to know wht the others didnt sign because there is no link to as why we didnt. And didnt we pay 35m for Drinkwater? So r u saying that Drinkwater is a better player than Mahrez, yes different positions but quality wise Mahrez is any day better than Drinkwater. If you really want to check others, then is Walker worth 50m. Dembele went for god damn 100m is he worth even half that money. Arsenal put up a bid of 90m for Lemar ... seriously!!!! It is a hugely inflated market out there ,,, money cannot be a factor for the top clubs to reject good players.
-
Just thinking out loud here. Do we have a forum where fans can voice their opinions to the board? At the Bridge or something?
-
Dont you know that Matic is a below average player who is not going to do shit at United. They are doomed!!!
-
Just wondering why did we not sign Mahrez ... at 45m he was a steal and he was available as well. Not saying he is a world class player but he would have been a very good addition to the squad.
-
Why the hell do i want to know why the others didnt sign? We didnt!!! That's all that matters. All I'm stating is that if this was a genuine buy then why should we be doing it at the last day irrespective whether we keep our cards close to our chest or not. There was no irregularity in his deal that it was forced to the last day. This is a panic buy maybe he was on the list like down the order. P.S. He is a Blue and he will always have my support.
-
Fair enough!!! He is one of the best in the Serie as everyone is saying and we were for him last season, blah, blah, blah, so if that is the case why did we go for him at the very last moment? Why was is not completed right at the start or before the season started specially when we need backups for wingback?
-
Very average transfer window despite the fact we spend near to 200m on new recruits. Post winning the title everyone knew that we need to strengthen in few places by either getting upgrades in terms of world class players and have backups so that we don’t run out thin by Jan/Feb, injuries, bad form. So what do we do? Got potentials to replace our star players, a midfielder who would be like 4th/5th choice, a wing back who no one has a clue about … in return we sold 2 potentials players, a so called average player who was instrumental in the 2 titles win is now strengthening our direct rivals, a star striker who is sitting in Brazil and refuses to come over while multiple potentials out on loan. Plus the bonus is that we kept getting rejected by average players!!! Damn even Lukaku!!! I understand transfers are difficult tasks to execute that’s the reason the people assigned for the job get top money. Imagine we have a bad/average season the manager’s head is chopped off, would the owner do the same for the one in power because this is surely an average window. And then we blame that the manager is not good enough to win titles at the club (in most of the cases) The problem now for us is that the entire onus is on Conte to perform and take the team to winning ways again basically clean up the shit that the board has given him. This season it wouldn’t be ease for him … both Manchester clubs have strengthen very much in the right places, Liverpool is an unknown just like Spurs. All the managers are the same (the ones in the title race) and have matured after one more season under their belt so it will be a difficult task for Conte to win the title this season. Wouldnt be surprise if he walks away or is sacked which would be the most unfortunate thing for us.

Now thats one transfer I definitively see happening ...
