  1. Strange really as I norm agree with most of your posts but your right its my prerogative & unfortunately for once I see things from a different perspective than you. As always Hazard is the one that can make things happen & again I concur but as stated in my original post tonight (not the one to you) Blanc done a number on him by getting his players to 'take him out' at all costs & they got away with it cus the ref was atrocious in not booking or even a red that could of changed the game in our favour, no protection for Eden so he was largely nullified, as for Cesc he was just none exisistent virtually the whole time he was on pitch so not sure how we were going to get any sort of momentum in an attacking sense without our 2 most creative players who were largely redundant. This is not a pop at you but if we'd of gone out with an attacking approach & lost the game 3 or 4/1 then the same protagonists would be on here saying the exact opposite of what's being said now, the very same gets over stated about tiredness yet we had a week off & we still looked lethargic, managers can't win no matter what they do!
  2. You've made reference several times about our poor defence yet you also (like all the others) expect us to attack PSG & in your eyes aren't that special? Not a great but not too shabby either, they have some obvious quality that can take the game away from us which seems to have been taken too lightly on here. Well I concur our defence at times is suspect & is going to be scrutinized more away from home against teams with more quality than what we face in the PL most weeks, hence the reason for José approach, coupled with the fact 5 players haven't trained (poss virus?) then his tactics become more understandable, though I'm unsure why Costa & Fabregas stayed on the pitch for so long? Let's put it another way let's go all out attack & end up like le Arse & go out early?! For the record I do not advocate how we have played negative in some games this season either but tonight certainly is not one of them, yes we got lucky & played poorly but I'll take a scoring draw in any CL knockout game. Lastly, there won't be many if any sides that will go away & play 'open & expansive' football bar Le Arse & we all know what happens to them.....
  3. Yep right on que the doomonger society are having their say..... Here we are scoring away from home & the great & all powerful Munich drew NIL - KIN NIL AWAY, yep they didn't score so let's just pile the misery on Jose. Ffs where do we these so called fans come from or better still why the fuck do they support us? I would of taking a scoring draw all kin night long especially after José has said 5 players hadn't trained. Yeah we didn't play well but to come away with a scoring draw is more than a decent result away from home, let's not forget they are no mugs, & the ref was unbelievably lenient on many of their players who also gave Hazard no kin well protection whatsoever, it was a clear tactic by Blanc to stop Hazard at all costs & the spunky ref bottled it.
  4. Didn't envisage or wasn't ever confident that we would score tonight, fantastic effort from the players to keep going as make no mistake this was a very tough encounter - think there is a huge sigh of relief from the players & José! Everton are a different side from earlier in the season, think their in a false position which makes this win even more sweeter. Thought our play was lethargic & laborious but you have to give credit to Everton who carried out their game plan to perfection - almost! Cech - legend, Matic - monster, result - priceless!
  5. Flabbergasted that he took Remy off, not just because he was playing so well but with us struggling to break them down & needing a goal from somewhere you need your firepower on the pitch, when he introduced Drogba, their back 9/10 defenders started looking uncomfortable, 2 up top makes more sense to me when we need to score especially with the clock ticking down. Loved the way José hugged all the players at the though, his man management skills are second to none, part of the reason it sets great managers apart from good ones.
  6. Not sure if your post included me but I certainly wasn't specifying a third playmaker against offensive sides. However I think there is nothing wrong with it against defensively minded teams, in fact I would encourage it, too many times we struggle to break down sides like this that just sit & hope for a break away or set piece goal when we have 4 defenders on the pitch & 1 or 2 holding midfielders doing nothing when we can select a far more attacking team that can open these teams up with more creative players on the pitch, get the game won & then make some defensive changes.
  7. Compelling arguments for & against, its a difficult one cus I can see the reasoning behind jose selecting him but on the other hand his form doesn't warrant him being picked. Thing is José has his arms locked at the mo with Fabregas injured & Costa suspended so Oscar's inclusion is possibly more down to his hands being forced. Personally don't believe he's a 10 but he certainly not without talent either, I've always felt he would be better playing in a deeper role in midfield where he can use his energy breaking up play, covering & with Matic about he can also break into the box like lamps use too, he hasn't got the ability of Fabregas or Hazard so imo unless it dictates he shouldn't be played in an advance role. People are asking for a 10, well we already have one that plays out wide in Hazard, I would love to see him in a more central role running at defenders using his vision & having Costa pulling defenders all over the pitch and making runs it could open up a lot of spaces, especially against bus teams.
  8. We leave London 3 times, hopefully with the CL getting in full swing again & just 3 away games outside the capital it will aid recovery times for league games following flights abroad.
  9. ^^^ We have to play Leicester away fella. Concur though, we are in a great position & need to drive it home from now on! Leads have been lost at a later stage than Feb, CL games will have an effect too but no F.A cup sadly, however I said when we went out it would be a blessing in disguise.
  10. I'm a little surprised at some of the concerns posted about this lad signing for us, their views might prove to be correct but at least give the boy time to show his worth in a 'Chelsea shirt' first before being hung out to dry! Think some of our performance's in the last 6 weeks or so have been a little flat, so I'm more hoping that his inclusion will provide a spark to inject some life back in to our play. No one can be sure what José has in mind, however my feeling is that he will have different options available to him now and by that I mean he can shuffle players around tactically with more confidence & rest or drop under performing players, where as I don't believe he could do it with Shirley or what we have now. Personally like to see Hazard in behind Costa, Juan & Will.I.am on the flanks, Fab & Matic in mid & Oscar benched, full on attack to rip the arse out of teams.......well live in hope!
  11. Let's just play open expansive football with 3 expeperienced players out & the rest that have played 120 minute's against our main rivals that have a quality about them which so happens to have made them champions 2 of the last 3 seasons? Good grief it is nonsensical & mindbuumbing reading some of the shit written on here.
  12. You simply cannot question the magnificent job José has done in the last 18 months, we went from double winners to an inconsistent team struggling to make the top 4, now he has turned us into title contenders under a stringent financial policy, yes he has spent money but he has bought some quality with it whilst balancing the book - if this was Arsenal there would be a media love fest, yet cus its us who have spent large almost a decade then it gets largely over looked?! However, fans have every right to question his recent comments, my Chelsea friends and I actually commented during the game that our fans were fantastic against Liverpool which they always are away from home, José choice of words were quite frankly embarrassing and ignorant to our 4,500 fans who were a credit to our club. Its obvious that he is trying to stoke up the fire with our home fans but ffs man, praise your own away fans first then nibble at the prawn sandwich eaters to back the team, think there was also a deflection tactic used to take the pressure away from him and the players cus that performance was shite!
  13. In my previous post months ago I questioned Lampards management team & indeed Frank for being an intellectual by opting to play for City to tarnish his legend status but also stated that I'd wait before judging, well my conclusion comes down to one word - greed! I cannot forget his 13 great years & some magnificent performances for us but I will never ever ever hold him in the same regard as Drogba, JT, Ossie and the best player to grace our club in Zola to name a few, it's all about personal opinion and fir me loyalty costs nothing but lasts a lifetime that was waiting in respect & honour of those 13 wonderful years for us but you blew the kin lot for a another year of mega bucks, Frank you showed your true colours mate & it ain't Royal blue! Our fans showed their class at City, I hope we neither boo him or give him an ovation, just a tempered appreciation and leave it at that next week.
  14. Let's all just throw in the towel now shall we?! Couldn't agree more that José got it wrong in selection, tactics, formation, lack of sub's & the shit we had to endure - the second half in particular. However, as fortunate as we were & we can thank Courtois for that, the fact is (unless I'm missing something) the result was 1-1, it's still all to play for, advantage at home etc, sure cane the bloke if we go out after the second leg but give the guy some leeway til then ffs! You can be sure if we go through then all the negativity will be replaced by 'best coach in the world'.......you can't make it up!
  15. Cannot fathom his selection, couldn't understand why the hell he played a full game either, just baffling?! And before the Mikel tinted brigade get on here I praised his performance against Stoke recently but there's no defending that performance........woeful.
  16. You can always rely on a poor result/display to bring out the pessimism.....all the games we drew this year we prob should of won bar Sunderland & the only other game we lost at Newcastle we should not of done, it was one poor defeat - I'll wait til we lose like this a few more times before throwing in the towel! Last night was a disaster, no question, however it was just one of those games where everything Spurs struck went in (can't remember Courtois actually making a save?) this coupled with our best players bar Hazard having their worst performance of the season, most are rightly pointing the finger at Matic but Fabregas was also woeful. Hazard was exceptional but every other player put in their worst performance of the season all in one game & that accounts for the dicking we got, even José has to shoulder the blame as his substitutions were baffling to say the least. That said I would much rather be in our position than City's or any other team, all the top sides have to come to the Bridge bar Arse & West Ham, we gave now played 2 more away games than at home & at least all the poor performances have come in one game so this will give those players time to have a very long look at themselves & hopefully a kick up the arse! I don't subscribe to this tiredness bollocks either - Hazard is testament to that but José now as the chance to rest most of the squad & give the fringe players a chance to prove themselves & give jose food for thought in future selection. Lastly the transfer market is now open so the defeat has come at the right time in more ways than one.
  17. Apparently Mikel was the best player on the pitch versus Newcastle?! Ummmm, my previous post outlined where he fucked up using Alan Shearer's analysis on motd - I'm sure the Newcastle game is still on the Beeb's iPlayer so go and have a beak and get educated on partly why we lost that game because of Mikels mistakes, if Mikel was motm then we're in big kin trouble if Matic has a spell on the sidelines! How can can people really believe he was motm when he was at fault for both kin well goals is a kin mystery?! I've discussed his flaws on many occasions with different member's on here over the years and stated that he is just not good enough and given logical reasoning for it, well here we are a few years on we finally have a world class DM that just ooze's class in Matic, there's a casm in class between these 2, I'm not a fan of stats but seeing that JT and Cahill only had to make 1 tackle between them all night cus Matic carries out his job to perfection speaks volumes of his growing stature, his quality is something we have missed since the days of the great Makelele. However, I've always said there are certain games where Mikel is useful and last night was right up his street, handled the physical bit well but like William gave away possession far too much for my liking and I have to agree with Barbara in that its a nightmare having these 2 players on the pitch at the same time.
  18. Actually, we hadn't qualified & no where near it so there was no chance of giving starts to youth against Maribor, it would make no sense at all, apart from when the game was won, remember we only drew at their place?! The ideal time would of been the dead rubber against Sporting - we had already qualified as group leaders so opportunities should of been given in this match, if in any this season. Tbh honest Madrid are not my concern, however i can understand the concern, José has already stated that there is no point in a 6m academy if we don't start producing, nonetheless winning trophies is what we all want at the end of the day and this is an ideal place to start (José second era) and I have complete faith in José to start using our youth products when they are ready, we might as u say see a few in the FA cup but I would be surprised, my view is that we will see some getting their opportunities next season, if not then perhaps do as José as said and scrap the academy!
  19. What happens if he decides to do this and we get knocked out? Fans will then go in to overdrive that he should of played a team of senior players - José can't win! The reasonable and fair minded fans will see what he is trying to achieve but the fickle fans will be on them like an avalanche! I believe he had the perfect opportunity to give several full debuts against Sporting but strangely decided not too? Personally think he is using this competition as a stepping stone for better things to come and whilst I agree there is room for players to be given opportunities I have to side with José on this one - for now!
  20. Whilst I concur with the majority that 'fringe and youth' should take precedence in this competition (I'd have Ake ahead of Mikel in any game!) I think that most are missing the bigger picture here. First time round José wanted to win this competition to get the players in a winning mentality to lead them on to bigger thing's, whilst we have some players who are habitual winners, José wants to mould 'his 2014 squad' to get that winning mentality, and what better way to start than by winning a trophy before the big 2 get in to the closing stage's? I believe this season unlike last is about starting to obtain some of the objectives that were agreed by Roman & José when they sat down for the long haul. I hope next season we will see a change with some of the promising youth Jose has earmarked gaining experience to set the wheels in motion with the academy. Lastly tiredness or fatigue are all in the mind, there's no better manager to get the most of players in terms of psychology........
  21. It never ceases to amaze me how this guy is so 'protected' on here, whilst he wasn't alone in why we conceded he played his part yet apparently he had a decent game?! No point in going into the analysis, asI think Alan Shearer nailed it last night on motd. Can't believe that people would think we would be ok before this game started without Matic, it would be tough enough with him playing let alone with obi one starting, I truely hope Ake is now given a start ahead of this cumbersome idiot if this situation occurs again.
  22. Not sure what your point is, however to reply, Utd edged it in the first half poss the better side, we surrendered a comfortable position by controlling the game in terms of possession & territory, don't take my word for it - listen to Mr Neville or read the stats before & after the Mikel sub.Talking about Mr Neville, I totally agree with his comment that to climb the next step we need go on to punish teams whilst we are in the ascendency, José has built a great squad again & he has the tools at his disposal so let them off the leash!
  23. Yes you're right, you are boring the fuck out of me now, basing your argument on players getting tired and yellow cards is bollocks, we ended with a fucking RED anyway Sherlock, because because because we sat back and invited them to score putting unnecessary pressure on our defence, when we were in the ascendency and completely controlling the game BEFORE the Mikel change, you can see for yourself the possession stats before and after meaning that we are NOW chasing the ball therefore players are getting fatigued instead of keeping possesion and making the opposition run after it - IN THEIR HALF, meaning we making the ball do the work. Hazard was destroying Raphael and its pretty sure he would of gone if we would of continued attacking but but but we lost our momentum with a completely needless change. Thanks for the tutorial it was riveting.
  24. Look Sherlock, I've already given a clear explanation of 'what I would of done' but again you don't seem to have the ability to read, however to reply to the rest of your post, if anyone 'was tired' then that would of been Drogba at 36 who has had very little 'game time' if Oscar was tired which I certainly didn't see it, then bring on Schurrle as virtually like for like to keep the momentum we had where we were totally 'controlling' the game. I could understand the change if we were playing a class side where we were going to be up against it like Real, Bayern or poss Barca but playing a team that is clearly lacking in confidence who have had the worst start for 20 odd years and were very much second best at the point were José made the change was asking for trouble...........oh yeah that's right we conceded!!! If we did not have 'the presence on the bench' as you put it then why the fuck change it?!
  25. Perhaps if you took some time to read & digest my post then you would understand that I didn't blame Mikel I actually put that at José door - comprehend? Good grief! As for the other comments on here that José can't do right for wrong, well we were in total control of that game until he went negative again & brought on a DM, we weren't playing open expansive football & going gung ho leaving spaces in behind for them to exploit, chances are we would of scored a second if he had not decided to make a change, Utd like City & Shalke before them took the initiative, we were then playing infront of our own 18 yard box as opposed to theirs, just a matter of time before they scored.
