  1. Cool ! I see that I'm not alone thinking that Benayoun could be our answer. Il found that his performance at Fratton Park was Modrik-like, he has the same mobility technique than the croatian, and the killer passes... Signing Modric would be good, I wouldn't be angry of course if we sign him but Spurs dont wan't to discuss, we already have a great player who didn't had the opportunity to shine last season. I liked the work of Ancelotti but it was ashaming that he didn't play him at MU at the end of the season... He could have been the key... Benayoun has several advantages: he is experimented, polyvalent and has always been underrated during his career (maybe because of his nationality or his look... ?). Especially he is well established in English Football contrary as would been Javier Pastore by example... Modric is the risk to bring a player who is very exposed in the game, so he would be oftely bad tackled as he was the recent years. Benayoun is cunning (is this a good term in that context ? ^^) and he hasn't the antecedents of Modric, he is less exposed in the game I think... Benayoun has always well performed in average teams (Wet Sham, the last year à Loserpool) and he made the same choice as Torres, to join a team with a lot of individualities where they would'nt be the 3 or 4 good players trying to carry their team at the top. In a team like Chelsea he could be great. I personally think that his best years can be in front of him and not specially behind him
  2. I hope Chelsea will sign him, he is a great prospect, he can play on the 2 flanks and behind the striker(s). His long balls are excellent, he has a great vision and he is quick, sharp, he can deliver very good through passes.
  3. He's a fuckin headless chicken, never seen a genuine play from him. Just average/good at home but his ghost replaces him away... Anyway he hasn't a good cross quality or shooting ability (you can tell me Sanchez also has't ^^) I think he is not well used at Arsenal, I think he is more an axial player with the sharpness of his moves. It deprives nothing of the fact that we don't need him but more a Sanchez or Hazard who are better than him by achieving to make the difference more often than Walcott. My perfect right winger would be a like of Antonio Valencia ; old school winger: tough, and skillfull with also the fact that he helps a lot his team with defensive work, thing we never see of Anelka or Kalou. I think that kind of player is the perfect counerpart of Malouda or Zhirkov and this is what we need to balance correctly our XI for me.
  4. Good player, he is polyvalent, he plays central midfielder or in a more offensive role or as a right midfield. He has a great shooting quality and he crosses very well. His technique and his passing skills aren't bad at all. If we ca have the possibility to buy Henderson, it would be good to sign him but not fot the fee Steve Bruce wants fot him (around £20M) because it would be a little overrated
  5. Ramires is getting better and better as the season comes, I liked a lot his performance against Tottenham, the context wasn't easy at White Hart Lane but he showed quality in his passing skills which was sharp, smart and confident. He also play his Box to Box role several times by helping one of the wingers, in particular when he crossed for Kalou before Half Time, he was at the starting of the action and he put a very dangerous ball into the Spurs defense I have an hypothesis about his game: I found that he plays relatively well when the other guys around him plays well ; in contrast, when the other players on the field doesn't play well, that influences his game. We could se it several times this season, by example against Zilina at the Bridge, all the team wasn't good during the half time so was Ramires, and when we improved our playing way in the second half, Ramires was suddently much better. Against Marseille, Ramires missed a lot of pass, controls because the team was in a Friendly Match spirit ; whereas against Tottenham where all the team was at 150%, he was better For me - and it's logical - Ramires isn't still a player who can fire the team upward, he is very influences by the way that plays his team mates. Malouda was a little same in his debuts, just one year after his signing he showed that he set up importance and he became a major part of the squad. I read a lot of criticism about the Blue Kenyan for 2 or 3 months, but nobody does let himself adapt to the British way of life, the language and the way of playing. It's evident for me that a lot of people I see criticizing Ramires now are going to change their opinion during the next months, but I do not feel this free and plentiful criticism about our n°7 justified I don't know what do you think about it ?
  6. The other problem is that Kalou only scores goals or plays well when he cames from the bench, not when he stars the match... Except the game against Atletico at the Bridge, I can't remember a good game from him when he started the match. He plays as a winger, but not because he is good but because he is one of our only 3 wingers in the team, that makes play him oftenly while he isn't a very good player... Play Sturridge as a winger doesn't serves to him because he is a player who plays in the depth, not a classic winger as Zhirkov who is able to cross among the line... Nevertheless Carlo keeps playing him as a winger... His way to use Sturridge for 2 years isn't very good I think, it's one of the rare thinks we can blame him for
  7. I would have prefered him to score that kind of goal against Marseille instead of in training ! Against Marseille he tried his luck at the end of the match, but he totally missed his shot and it was too easy for Mandanda to catch it I would like Sturridge often to simplifiate his game, it's evident that he overflow talent, his skills, his expodability and his strength of shot are impressive, he is a sharp and very quick player and he is very motivated to make his place at Chelsea, he shows that every time he plays But he often tries very complicated tricks, skills probably in order that Ancelotti would see its. It would have been better if he played as simple as he made against Zilina by example Since last year we have a problem with our attack, we have only 2 strikers and for me it's not enough for a club who want to play in 3 competitions during the season. We would partially resolve this turnover issue if Sturridge could show that he is able to play the third striker role on the duration, thing he isn't able actually I think
  8. Thanks for the welcome !
  9. Hi all, I'm Sebastien, French Chelsea fan since 2006 following the signing of Andrei Shevchenko. I'm from Tours if there is people who know this city Shevchenko was my first favourite player I watched on the TV, and while I didn't supported any club until 2006, when Sheva put on paper his Chelsea contract, I decided to follow the results of his new team. Since this moment, I felt in love with this club, his former players, history... I'm very intersted in the history of the club, I already have read about the Mears Era, Hughie Gallacher, the 1955 Winning Campaign, the Glorious Era in the 70s, the 90s... I feel this history fascinating ! Last Summer I realized one of my dream by visiting Stamford Bridge. Next step is a Match ! I love English Football, I follow of course the Premierleague but also the Championship and I often check the League One&Two Tables. I love watching English matchs, I feel the atmosphere in all UK Stadiums absolutely incredible Other than that I'm French, I already suscribed to a French Football Forum to talk about Chelsea, but I wanted to talk with other Chelsea FC Fans in an language I like a lot. So I can also improve my English by the way, don't hesitate to correct me if my English is approximative or incorrect See You soon on the Forum, Come On Chelsea and Keep The Blue Flag Flying High
