  1. Yes, on the wing he is a possibility that suits me... I would have doubts with your compo, Ramires is a support player with his vertical runs and his ability to go back the ball up. That would be restrain him to keep him in a defensive role... Our midfield would lack of consistency. But I can be wrong For me bringing Pastore would signify playing with various shapes, not only one
  2. Yes and he sais City to make the price growing up... So there isn't that much possibilities ! I'm doubtful concerning his possible role in the 4-3-3, he is too offensive. So we would need to change the shape of the squad depending on if he plays or not. It could be good because our way of playing seemed too stereotypical last year, without variation etc...
  3. I liked her music, she was a great singer although she was also a junkie... I hope the next one would not be Pete Doherty... !
  4. Exactly, we cannot start thinking a 3 midfield with Lampard-Josh-Benayoun would be enough, there isn't some physical strength. I hope that it does not mean the abandonment of Parker... I would be disappointed because I think he would be the best player to bring to the club, he is certainly vindictive
  5. Now there are Chelsea, Man City and Roma... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11668_7058252,00.html
  6. I think AVB is not stranger to that, previous seasons communication wasn't really good, by example Ancelotti was very diplomatic in press conference. Villas Boas is more communicative, his answers are not as stereotypical as were Carlo's I think it's a global initiative from the club to improve communication
  7. Le début est abominable, Frank Ribery n'aurait pas fait mieux. Je pense que je n'ai pas de mal a parler dans cette langue is a little bit better Your second sentence seems too academical but it's right I am going to search tactical/technical vocabulary in english on the Internet, because I haven't so much football vocaulary...
  8. The club asks the fans to chose one of the 6 mural designs: http://www.chelseafc...2398117,00.html I have chosen the first one because I believe that it's important to remind the history of the club ; but I hesitated with the last one who reminds me in a lot this picture of Ted Drake: A mix of the first one and the last one would have been perfect but I wonder if there would have been enough space... So, which one did you chose ?
  9. Tu te débrouilles bien ? Ou tu parles aussi bien que Frank Ribery ? I speak French of course, my native language, I like English that I practice at school since I'm 4 or 5. My aim is to be fluent or nearly in English, it's one of the reasons I went on this forum I always wanted to learn Russian, but I have never found time for it...
  10. He wouldn't be very useless, he plays on the left wing as would do Malouda... And when he had to replace Fabregas he has never really shine in the midfield...
  11. All the players you quote are left footed, I don't know if you have ever noticed that left footed players, especially good ones, have a very very good left foot and a right foot a bit weaker... For a left footed man, it's easier to have a very very good left foot rather both ones ; a right footed hasn't the same difficulties to work on his two. Left footed have often a best left foot than the right foot of a right footed player. Even with the training, a right footed will not reach necessarily the level of the left footed player and his left foot I don't know if I was understood... I think -25- is right, the lack of movement in the team makes the players giving the ball to the defenders rather than go forward and try relays (?) so they use their best foot. Cole hasn't really the necessity to have two excellent feet. On the other hand it's more problematic with Sturridge (even if he can score good goals with his right foot, as vs Ipswich Town ; he can also miss some great opportunity he should have took with his right foot, I saw some ones during his spell at Bolton). With Malouda I think the problem is wider, his entire atitude has changed a lot for the last 12 months ; he plays differently, as an off centered offensive midfielder whereas he played more as a winger in 2009/2010... He doesn't defends as much as before, he keeps being useless offensively on the build up of the goals, the next to last pass before the goal... But he uses exclusively his left foot maybi because he becames lazy ?
  12. So he isn't gonna be joining Chelsea on tour ?!
  13. I think it's gonna be his season now, we should not part company with him because he is an incredible player... He can play either left back, central MF and left winger with the same ability and as if it was the place where he always plays... When he has the ball it's very difficult to stop him without foul, he ca make the link between defence and attack brillantly. We could not found better than him on the market, and please dont tell me Michel Bastos !
  14. He wouldn't be the ideal replacement for Lampard I think, he is to offensive... At Palermo he used to play il a very very offensive midfield role, between Offensive Midfield and support striker (as Van der Vaart who is neither OM or suppot striker). In Sud America he played upfront ! He isn't as complete as Lampard, he would certainly have difficulty to adapt to the rythm of play in England, he is an exposed player as was Modric when he arrived in Premierleague... Modric has a lot of difficulties with the treatement he was made of, he didn't understood that technical players hadn'n a different status in England during his first months. Modric is a mobile player, Pastore is rather a dribbling player and he would be easily exposed to bad treatments... We would take a big risk in signing him, we would need to adapt just a little the tactical aspect of the side because I see him with difficulty in a role of deep lying creative midfielder in our actual 4-3-3 shape... It's not what Villas Boas seems to try. He would have to adapt to the championship and it's not easy, it would take time... For 50m I think the risk is too big even if the player is very good
  15. The main reason why he loves Chelsea is Drogba, it's like Kakuta, he said he loves the club because he used to play with Lampard & Terry on the playstation I think it's not the best way to improve the squad, Lukaku would have the pressure of the comparison all the time and we have no guarantee he would be better at 25 or 26 than now.
  16. He has the reputation to be a solid player, with propensity to go forward and one of the best of his generation... They says he is stong technically and tactically, if we want to replace Essien who will never be at his best again it could be a good choice. Although I would prefer Tioté In the case the player doesn't cries in the next 24 months to come back in spain it could be interesting Or Gai Assulin
  17. Remy has finished well the season, before it was oftenly crap... He seems to have found his better place in the axis, not on the wing anymore. I'm not a big big fan On the other hand Ayew is a really very intersting prospect, he is young, versatile, he makes incredibles things with his left foot... He is a talented player and a team player, he is the first man to press, tackle... He has a great box-to box activity. I would welcome him gladly
  18. I'm not convinced by Lukaku, too much money for such a young player... It seems like the board searches to replace Drogba with the kid that looks like most in The Drog. I'm not fond of this philosophy, I think players have to break through themselves with their own ability without the club plans to replace such as Drogba, Lampard, Essien with exactly or seemingly the same kind of player. A team builds itself of her even, it's not necessary to force things artifically. Villas Boas works on a game plan using conventional wingers but we haven't any real right winger, Anelka isn't one, neither Kalou... On the left we have Zhirkov. On the right we could have De Bruyne who is able to play at 3 different places, I found this all the more interesting than we seems to be the only big club on him (before City jumps on another club's target...)
  19. He has a great passing ability, he is able to give sharp passes... But l'OM paid too much money for him, he is a diva, he doesn't want to carry the team to the top whereas he isn't irreproachable in his attitude... He was instrumental during the title winning campaign of l'OM in 2010 because there was a collective strength. There wasn't so much of collective this season and he didn't shine. He is a moaner, he moans on a lot of people, his team mates... He doesn't defends, he isn't very quick in his game. His really only good abilities are his free kicks & corners, his sharp passes... But when the team plays bad he plays also badly, it's not enough for a team like Chelsea
  20. He is too weak to be regarded as a nealy part of the starting XI... He isn't that bad on a support striker role in the axis, but on the wing he is too stupid, he isn't able to pass an opponent and cross decently... His role has to be 4th striker, not more
  21. His controls are shit, and he is going to be in sight until the end of September... And becoming again the crap player he is after that What a shit ball from Kalou, the one-touch action is pretty good but he should have give it better ! I think the ball could circulate a little bit better.. The pitch is very bad, it isn't easy... Like vs Pompey we lack possetion although there is no collective team in front of us...
  22. Ramires isn't a holding midfielder, we need a player who can fill the gap and quickly adapt to a holding midfield role. Essien and Ramires has defensive skills but they like moving forward, tactically they aren't as good as Mikel. I Like Tioté because he has the ability to stabilize the midfield, he is a good tackler and puts physical impact, he can go forward to shoot but he is moderate, he doesn't leave big spaces behind him when he goes forward. His passing ability is good, he allows a good ball circulation, he aerates the game well. His long balls and his crossing ability are also good. Neither Essien nor Ramires has both tactical strenghth AND physical strength in their game so I think that bringing a player such as Tioté would be interesting (the second half vs Pompey shown us we need that kind of player). Besides it would allow us to try Mikel in a different role, he has so much quality that I think he could be better somewhere else Essien isn't a guarantee when he plays as a quaterback in front of the defence, he cant help moving forward. Ramires isn't a conventional defensive midfielder, he is a player who makes the link between defence and attack, and he is a support player with his vertical runs for the wingers or to receive crosses, cut counter attacks... If you think the ACON is the worry, I personally think it's a false problem... People said we would have difficulties in January but it didn't help us to destroy Sunderland 7-2... With Ballack in front of the defence and Anelka lone forward ; we can try Luiz as DM by example Mikel is very underrated, what he does at his age is phenomenal... During the first part of the season he was excellent when the team walked on the water, after that he was just capital because he could hold the pressing every team concentrated in the axis (while they also blocked Bosingwa and Cole's wings) because there were a lot of space because of the 2 CB who were spaced out to cover the full backs. Mikel's ball protection is formidable, he is calm and self confident, he never precipitates in the middle of 2 or 3 players He has great passing ability, he crosses quite well and he never moves forward stupidely (as would do Gareth Barry...), he can help forward to offer a solution... He isn't just a mad tackling player as Karl Henry, Tioté has offensive quality and tactical rigor
  23. Torres has the best complementarity with Anelka, we saw this at Copenhagen and versus West Ham... I think it's the best pair possible at the moment We have to see with Drogba, before he had malaria, his hernia surgery changed his way of playing, he was omnipresent and less on the top of the attack than before. Malaria forced him to moderate his energy spending so we couldn't judge very well during this season. Torres has also changed his way of playing, at Liverpool he received less balls from his midfield and a lot of his goals came from long runs with long balls, often on the wings... And the last year, his problems of fitness and energy forced him to be "more" static than before with less of presence in the game He has to settle him correctly in the attack with another partner (thing he didn't have at Loserpool), and he has to be used by the way our midfields plays. I think a patnership Drogba/Torres is possible, if we consider that Drogba would be the support striker and Torres the striker on the top of the attack. But before they found complemantarity, Villas Boas is right to consider first the partnership which worked the best, Anelka/Torrres
  24. Chalobah needs to progress slowly before we should talk of playing him in the first team. Bruma vs Aston Villa produced a contrasted match, his passing was very good but he was lost in the air in front of Heskey (or Ameobi vs Newcastle). He has potential but isn't fully ready for the first team
