So the same old crap from our 'strongest' side. Oh my bad! Its not the same..its against a struggling Championship side this time.

Exactly. So the idea of playing youth is synonymous to a defeat, is it? And yet we hope the same youth to cruise into the first team, to play games against the likes of Barcelona, RM, the Manchester clubs etc., in an year and right now they are not even good enough to compete against a Championship side?

So, the Carling Cup is the only competitive football that any home-grown youth from Chelsea can play. Is that the message AVB is sending?

Its Chelsea TV. There will be just radio commentary on it. No Carling Cup games! And now, not even FA Cup games?! Only chance to watch youngsters perform for the first team and no stream :angry:

Sadly, the question should rather be "Can I get any stream for the match?"! Can I, someone?

But, will they be if we get Lucas? And if not, what message will it send to the youngsters training at our academy and the future prospects? I am not against signing great talents from overseas or other leagues in Europe, but we seriously need to learn some man-management at the club. I thought (and still hope) AVB balances the influx well. I dont want any signing that can hamper the development of the deserving home-grown talent. I will back any transfer that keeps this in view.

This. I have observed him doing this and only this in almost all the games this season (except maybe in the QPR game, in which he was awesome). This does not fit into AVB's vision of this team, as far as I see.

I am not undermining his apparent talent, but its strange that we are ready to splash 30m+ on a very young and unproven player and consider promoting Josh to the first team as a big risk?!

Whenever I saw him in a reserve/youth match, he has done pretty well. And most importantly he looks ambitious and committed on the field. He might be a part of the solution for the desperately needed width for our team.

Why are we optimistic about him but not willing to risk promoting Milan Lalkovic?

All I hear from Henrique and HDxxx are complaints. I have never seen Henrique to be positive about anything related to CFC. All I want to know is what do you, personally, want the Chelsea Football Club to do? U didnt want them to continue with an established manager like CA. U (already) hate a young hungry manager who is trying to change things gradually. U dont want him to throw youngsters into the high-pressure situations. I just dont understand what u want this club to be doing? Please dont reply with things like buy the whole Barcelona team or such. Be practical. I am genuinely curious as to know what your suggestions are!

Someone remind Ashley that hes got defensive duties. Hes a full-back FFS! Bosingwa should be banned from crossing. Meireles..who?! Lampard should stop being a forward and think like a midfielder. And can somebody post the passing map of Lamps after the match, please? I dont remember seeing more than 5 passes from him towards their goal! Torres looking lively. But the poor sob has no service. Hes had to come back to collect the ball from within our half more often that not. Mata looks good.

FFS the situation must have been more like "would be surprised if they dont start" under AVB! Sometimes I feel he does not even consider the possibility that Ashley might burn out. I hope he realises it soon and makes amends.

How about resting Ash for a match or two? If we cannot rest him for games like these, then when can we?!

DM reporting that Cuenca is out of contract this summer and CFC and Arsenal are poaching for the youngster. This. I have been impressed by this lad from whatever I have seen of him in the last two years. I dont know about the promotion to first team, but we should seek out a good loan move for him. Hopefully to a PL side.. And I honestly think we need to stop buying teenagers for the first team squad! Buying youngsters != buying teenagers We need to buy players in their early 20s who can get directly into the squad and we need to look out for teenage talents in the reserve and the youth team squads. If there was one wish, I would wish for that. A genuine development of home-grown talent and induction of youth from the academy into the first team.

We dont want that No. 26 then!

BTW, good results for us till now. Hope this does not jinx the Cocks game
