Let's assume that what Barcelona have said is true and that there really is a buyout clause in his contract, that still makes Romeu deal good for me. First thing, no way in hell would Barcelona sell him cheaply to us as they have. He is not a player that needs time to develop to start putting good performances, he did it right away. If they approach him with a contract there is a chance that he would want to stay with us because a lot of players really seem to enjoy life in England and Chelsea players are treated like gods when they are winning and doing well. Even if he accepted their deal we would still earn money from his transfer. So all in all, we brought a cheap player who helped us and we either made profit out of his transfer or he stayed with us and became an important part of our squad. Either way, we win. A lot of you have been saying Why would Chelsea agree to a deal like that? I believe that was the only way to bring in Romeu because Barca wouldn't sell him and risk going through a Fabregas situation all over again.
