Sorry to bring this thread back up , but i was looking at thse photo's and saw this one of steve clarke- His thinking What the fuck have i done....

Kakuta surley wont play we would have been almighty stupid to let that happen. This will be a big game for us as potentially we will be in 5th place at the time with the bindippers 3 points behind us. Alot of you are saying Drogba on the Bench and Josh starting this wont happen Carlo has had plenty of chances to do this and he has done it once and that was only because Drogba had malaria. the team will be the same as started against liverpool.

The worst thing is the anticipation and wating for the next game after a screw up , Fulham still seems ages away , winning there will lift our spirits but i do agree if we dont finnish in the top 4 Carlo's a goner.

instead of talking to the press he should be training on how him and Drogba are going to play against Fulham. Still on the fence with this guy gonna struggle to warm to him as he is an ex scouser. Though i have to admit on his day he is a great player.

I hope your right , but Sunderland’s form is a bit suspect recently. i hate to say it but if we carry on we will have to seriously consider life without Champions league football next season.

Ive just been looking our fixtute list for the next few games and comparing them to the dippers and spuds : Us Fulham (A) Man Utd (H) Blackpool (A) Man city (H) Spuds Sunderland (A) Blackpool(A) Wolves (A) West Ham(H) Dippers Wigan (H) West ham (A) Man Utd (H) Sunderland (A) how many points in all honestly will we get out of them four games with two extemely tricky fixtures. looks like spuds have got an easy ride and could easily go above us... thoughts ? Can a mod put a o in spot....

I think we should go back to what we know , we need the three ponits more than to show off our 50 million pound signing. so i would go with Cech Ivan Luiz Terry Ash Essien Ramires Lampard Anelka Drogba FloMo i know it wount happen , but torres needs time , we cant expect him to come to a new team who play diffrenly and work. Its a must win game with spuds up our arses and the way sunderland are playing at the moment they will roll over for them.

I don't mean to be pessimistic but torres is not the answer to our ageing squad we could of spent 50 million on 3 hungry young players who would fight for the team as it would be there big chance. Yes it would be more of a risk as there unproven but you would always get 100 % effort. Today they just didn't seem botherd not like the Sunderland game. Even when we were one nil down the was no urgency. This is the medias wet dream they will be on about this for weeks even if Liverpool lose to wigan. It's gonna be a tough battle for fourth and I really hope we make it.

It was great to see Danny get a goal on his debut , it will give him bags of confidence. I just hope we keep hold of him his got the potential to be a sucess in this divison.

3 points is the main thing here , any thing else is a bonus. Liverpool will be fired up especially after losing their star man. i would take a scrappy 1-0....

Totally agree the Sun make up stories to get sales , so i wouldnt worry about it too much. Though that being said i can see yuri going at the end of the season , and im unsure about Drogba i still think he has more to give but i feel we may have seen the last of him this season.

Im actually more excited about this signing than torres , as this guy is going to be the backbone of the team for years and we have missed a CB with pace for sure.

I think Carlo will Stick to Bossy - Ivan - Terry - Cole i cant see Luiz being put in a game as big as this with only two days training with his new team mates. We all know Carlo dosent like to make radical changes so i see Luiz being on the bench.

1. Top 3 Finnish - i Think the league has gone now , even if we beat united home and away i still dont see it arsenal would end up nicking it and we would have given arsenal the title - though we still have city to play so i think we should aim to finnish 3rd anything else is a bonus. 2. FA Cup - This should be a realistic aim for us , though after watching our performace against Everton we really need to step up and with Utd , arse , and city still in the compertition it wont be easy. 3. The CL - The comperttion everyone wants at the club and out we have been so unlcuky for so many years not to win the damn thing. so obviously a CL final at least would be great , but if im honest spuds will most likely end up winning it with a goal off bales backside as thats the luck of the cl for us. So in Summary i think top 3 finnish and the FA cup and maybe a CL / semi or final I think next season we will win the league again.

What a day ! Though anybody else feel a bit about it all ? we have to go from not liking the guy to suddenly singing his praises , its a great transfer and he is a great player i just need time to adjust to the idea of him. A few goals against the dippers should help though
