The question is can this club survive a season without CL football ? will this help development of the youngsters ? as there may be less top names joining the club? or will this push us down the pecking order of the Europe elite. Either way we have alot of promising players imagine if katuka can find his feet in this division we all agree the lad has something special. All we can do is continue to support this club in whatever happens. This season was bound to happen with the old guard getting older and maybe there best days behind them every team needs to re build at some point it’s just some re-builds are easier than others.

Lucio did a good job last season. But you cant predict what the drog is going to do. It all depends which Drogba Turns up becuase he can beat anyone on his day.

I’m likening the optimism its already been said that we need some luck in this competition. but the question is would you sacrifice a CL win for a place in the top 4 next season ? because I’m not 100% that if you win the CL you get a golden ticket back in like Liverpool. That being said if we beat Everton and Copenhagen we could start putting a bit of a run together. at the moment its all if's and but's but we have a good chance as said before especially Drogba really wants to win this competition.

True , i cant see Drogba Settling for a on the bench role.

Question is will carlo play him. he would play best in the malouda role on the left , he isnt the best in central mid.

He will leave , we could tell that with the Marseille game , I’ve read his autobiography and he has so much love for that club its unreal. But that being said i wouldn’t mind him round for another season. we have never had such a prolific striker on his day here.

Its Great to see him coming good after the criticism he got earlier on in the season. he never seems to stop fighting for the ball and gives 100% great signing.

Some good point LDN Blue we need some to get behind the team and see how the season plays out. i think the main downer is the chance we will miss out on the Champions league next year , which will severly hinder our re-building process. If it wasnt for the two games against utd i would disagree. But this club will have to survive for a season without CL football , just look at city they have had no trouble getting up there without it. But its not ove yet. just wish we could get to these games and see. as we dont have another PL game for a while. Any news on the Bham game yet?

It all depends on Champions League football. These type of players would get snapped up by the team's in the CL . I think If Trained well Neymar could become one of the best in the world. Its weird seeing so many Brazilians linked with the PL.

I cant see us putting much effort into the compertition i think we would consentrate on the Premier League.

Agree with this 100% and i can honsestly say ive not enjoyed this season at all but even if we where in league 1 i wouldnt stop support this club as most of you wouldnt either. The winning has spoilt alot of our fanbase and got us alot more fans, but its the ones that stick around and support the team when times are bad that are the fans we want. just wish spurs would stop winning The main thing that gets to me is the press there just wating for us to fail i know i should ignore the bullshit but its everywhere.

i hope we look at this thread and laugh at the end of the season. Though for the first time in years its a real possibillity. The worst thing is its out of our control at the moment we need other teams to drop points. Though if we can get some points of utd and beat the yids at the bridge things should be alrite.

There is no chance he will go before the end of the season , he would have to be paid off and i dont think roman wants to do that. Also there is no one else available. I also would like a long term manager here , i though it would be Carlo last year but now i have doubt i just hope he can turn things around and prove all his critics wrong.

But the question is does he have a choice ? he should be first asked but i cant see it being that way. If this was happend to Jose he would of kicked up a fuss Carlo just sits back and carry's on coaching no matter what is happening around him.

His not going to get us 15/20 goals a season. Aslo he is no spring chicken himself he will be 31 in may.

The worrying thing is could this be Frank's last season ? who could possibly come in and get 20 goals a season (bar this) from midfield.

The main issue is all the top players want to play in the champions league , hence why torres came here. if we fail to qualify i dont see us getting the likes of lukaku , he will go to citeh (they will buy him just to stop someone else) etc and you will noticy cheeky bids coming in for our other top players. Even if we do make fourth and spuds finnish 5th and they win the CL (i know but its a pot luck cup) do we still get booted out ?
