The problem with Mikel is not that he hasn't got enough defensive abilities.... The problem is that very often (too much) he has to defend lonely against four players...

So, Bruma, Kakuta and maybe Van Aanholt in loan... Damn, i thought our squad was too thin....

I've liked Ramires' performance, but I still want to see how works a midfield : Mikel-Essien-Lampard -- before make of Ramires a permanent starter.

Who think we should reshape our midfield like this ? : --Defense-- Anelka Ramires - Lampard --Attack--

Does anyone here think that we should play Essien in the holding midfielder role, and Mikel alongside Lampard ? (Sorry if someone already said it, but I didn't have the time to read all the post) In the way we're playing at the moment, Mikel is just not efficient, he can't play like that. At the start of the season he was really good in this role, but it's because we had a far better ball possession... Right now, we suffer of his lack of agressivity and his inability to tackle. Beside, Essien is really better when we have to defend, he's got more agressivity, he knows how to do a tackle. So we should play him as a holding midfielder to solidify our defense. Plus, at the moment, we have a real problem : we can't manage to link up our midfield and our front three. Why ? 'Cause nobody is able to create something, to do a good pass (of course, with the return of Frank it's different). And Mikel is really better than Essien for the passes. And I think with him playing higher on the field, our front three will have a lot more of good passes to 'eat'... ps: those Arsenal players are really a bunch of lil' bitch who fall at the single collision... They should go play in Spain...

Please, this lineup: Cech Bosingwa - Iva - Terry - Cole Ramires McEchran - Lampard Kakuta - Sturridge - Malouda I really don't know if they will do better, but Mikel, Essien, Kalou, Anelka and Drogba doesn't deserve to be on the team sheet... Beside, Roman should to not pay them untill they win a fuckin game ! I would love to see how they will play if it's for their wages' sake !!

Yeah ! He wouldn't be my first choice, but it's a good idea, he's english and we know he fits the EPL.

This. The better would be - in the case of the 4-3-3 - a player who can play on the right side and who's able to as a playmaker... Like Ozil... But I actually have the feeling that we will hear by the end of January "our squad is strong enough, we don't need to buy someone"....
