  1. He was loved, at first. He was seen as a great future star, when Chelsea signed him. People were expecting him to become a national hero. But after the cocaine incident, almost all the respect that people had for him went to dust. And after he did it again, when he was playing for Fiorentina, everyone understood that he's a clown.
  2. I wans't talking to you. Calm down. I am the one who said that CHELSEA IS NOT A DEFENSIVE CLUB. Do you even read my posts?
  3. Of course he's not. He's not loved and respected by Romanians either. It was an irony.
  4. Trust me, Mutu is as loved and respected by Romanians as he is by most of the Chelsea fans. So bringing him into discussion won't make any difference. Only if sherry33 is a Mutu fan, which I doubt. Regardless, maybe I'm under the wrong impression, but if you have something against Romanians, you should go ahead and tell us. On the other hand, I think that this has gone way too far. Moneywhore, traitor, Judas are disgraceful words when used to describe a Chelsea legend like Frank Lampard. Even if I was and still am dissapointed by the path he chose to follow, I will always love and respect his legacy. You can criticize him without using that kind of language. There we go...
  5. Barca at the Bridge under Hiddink was a way better approach than Barca at the Bridge under Di Matteo, for example. You can't even compare the ties. But still, it's true that Hiddink had a better squad back then. This is another topic of discusion. I think you are falling in the trap set by the media. Chelsea is not a defensive club. We just tend to adopt this approach at certain points of the seasons and this is what bothers me, to be honest. But Chelsea is also the club that set the goal scoring record in the Premier League, under Carletto, for example. Chelsea won a lot of games by playing good attacking football, even under Mourinho. The fact is that most of the time, we are not parking the bus. We just do it on some occasions, but I think that we should stop doing that because now our team is strong enough to allow Chelsea to look like a balanced positive team against any opponent. We have enough quality to try controlling any game or at least avoid parking the bus, even if it's against Barcelona or Real Madrid. Since I'm at it, I would like to point out again that, as I said before, City are far from going through their best times, and we should've at least tried to take advantage of that, by playing with a little bit more courage against them. Imagine if we were 8 points clear now. All that enthusiasm and that joy. And the message that would've been sent to any other team in the League and Europe: we are Chelsea, we just beat the champions, we are 8 points clear top of the league and we are not joking about this. Instead, now people are talking about how we parked the bus at 1-0 with 11 vs 10...
  6. Me too and I never said otherwise. I said that I would choose Klopp, in case Mourinho leaves us (it was just hypotetical situation), because I like his style and I like what he did at Dortmund. He's struggling now, yes, but that's not the point.
  7. Zouma must be given his chance. It's time to try to change some of that sloppy defensive. I hope Cech and Remy start. I really miss Petr.
  8. If this is the situation, I would certainly want Jurgen Klopp to be our next manager. Or Guss Hiddink. And no, I would never want Guardiola here.
  9. Real didn't win it, but they somehow got the trophy. Ok, I get it. Let's move on. I started to follow Chelsea in 2003, when Mutu joined the club and the Romanian media started to be really hyped about Chelsea. I was watching every Chelsea game covered by the television. I still remember that Gronjkaer goal against Monaco, I still remember the blondes (Gudjhonsen and Duff), the tank that was Makelele and so on. Yes, there was this spirit, there was that atmosphere at the Bridge that made me like them. But I was way too young to understand tactics and philosophies. And I completely disagree with the statement that Chelsea always played like this. Remember the second part of the 2008-2009 season, when Hiddink was our manager. If I was to give up on Chelsea or anything, I could've done it way earlier. I feel ofended that you jumped to the conclusion that I am not supporting the team "win or lose" only from the fact that I criticized the way that we played against City.
  10. You are wrong and you have gathered the wrong impression. I praised our board, for example, just after getting rid of Torres and signing Remy. That's if you really want a certain example. I praised Brana recently, after his great attacking displays, I praised Azpi, I praised JT etc. And even if I wouldn't have done that, you are still wrong to ignore all of my arguments and tell me that I'm not a Chelsea fan. If you disagree with me, I think it would be fair to tell me why I'm wrong and explain your point of view, instead of making false assumptions. I've been on this forum since 2010 (I was 17 back then). Do you really think that a 17 years old would join a forum like this and keep pretending to be a fan for 4 years?
  11. Sorry, I misunderstood this post. I never said that there should be anyone else managing us. I just said that I am expecting something else from us and that Mourinho promised that things will change. I never asked him to be sacked or anything, I just said that. Maybe things will change in the next games, who knows? But I think I have the right to express my dissapointment on this forum, just like you have the right to disagree with me. And you were not the one saying anything about my country, I wasn't talking about you there. Agreed, but from respecting the man and loving him to asking all of us to "worship" him there's a long way. Yes, it's the fault of people like you who bring other people's age or country into discussion in order to what? It's the fault of people who don't allow other people to express their opinion and thoughts, just because they are about the man who they "worship". With that last sentence, I think that you put yourself in place and anyone with a little education and common sense realizes it.
  12. They were close to losing it and so were we. Exactly what I said: an argument that goes both ways. Atletico won La Liga against all odds playing similar to us. Borussia won Bundesliga against almost all odds two years ago, playing spectacular football and were in the CL finals, one year later, nearly winning it. Another argument that can go both ways. So there you have it: there's no recipe for success. You can win it playing "like us" or playing the other way. Except that there are a lot more teams that won it by going "the other way". And that's a fact. So you think that choosing which club to follow is a rational thing to do? Like "hey, let's pick a club. let's see: these guys play like this, these guys win things, these guys are from this town and so on"? Mate, I follow Chelsea because that's what I felt like when I was younger. It didn't involve any maths. And just because this has been our hallmark for ages, doesn't mean that we all have to agree that it is the only way or that we can't do better.
  13. Thank you, getlemen, for proving that fanatism can't lead to anything else but idiotic non-sense conclusions. One talks about manureism because I don't share the same opinion with one who wants us to WORSHIP Mourinho and agree like loyal little dogs with everything he says and does (and brings my country into discussion as it has any importance at all) and one gives me a speech about me being the manager, just like a kindergarten kid would to (not to mention that he thinks that going to Stamford Bridge makes your opinion more relevant or something). Impressive. And all that because we don't share the same opinions regarding football and the way Chelsea plays it at the moment. No wonder other people call us the way they do. I am completely disgusted.
  14. Yes, there is. You said that Real Madrid were lucky to equalize in the 93rd minute, like that makes their title less deserved or important. That's why I gave Chelsea as example, in order to make you understand that your argument is not really an argument, since it can be used both ways. Whatever, I think we should stop right here and just agree to disagree. You're happy with it, I'm not happy with it, we just have to wait and see what happens next. I really don't want to continue with a discussion where people are talking about Mourinho being worshiped and so on. It's way too much for me.
  15. Why don't you make a new religion? Something like Mourinhoism, since you're all about worshipping and shit.
  16. They won 4 La Liga titles in the last 5 years. 17-4 = 13, in my book. Count them yourself, if you don't believe me. You tried to make a point by saying that Real Madrid (one of the 'offensive teams' examples gave by MrBlueGuy) was lucky to equalize in the last minute. So I'm talking about Chelsea, because Chelsea won the UCL at penalties and after equalizing in the 89th minute. Yes, we did that WHILE PLAYING DEFENSIVE against Bayern. That's the whole point.
  17. Lol "the goal". Stoke scored against them too, on Etihad. Great attacking display by Stoke, then?
  18. Ok. Let's rule out the La Liga trophies. Which leaves them with 13 others. Like we didn't equalise in the 89th minute, or something, and won it on penalties. People said that football is changing ever since Greece won the European in 2004. Football has already changed.
  19. I can't really remember United parking the bus against anyone, to be fair. And still, I really don't think that Fergie ever spent as much money as we did in the last few years. I don't think that Fergie ever got himself three of the best players in Europe during the same transfer window. About the 'we can attack and play good stuff" part, please, let me know where did you see any of that yesterday.
  20. Barcelona became the most succesful European club in the last 5 years by playing 'sexy football'. Let me tell you about throphies: they've won like 17 trophies during this time. Sexy football never means no trophies and parking the bus never means tons of trophies. So what's your point?
  21. Sorry, mate, but, first off, I am one of those who criticized the way we're defending and playing, in general, exactly during the game against Swansea City. So no, it's not an overreaction. Secondly, this was the first big game of the season, the first chance to prove the 'big horse' status that Mourinho claimed. As seen, he blew it. It was the same old us, just like the last season. We did the same thing on Etihad as we did the last time, when we didn't have the likes of Fabregas and Costa. Of course now it's the time to get upset, because now was the time to see the change and we didn't see it.
  22. I never said that not winning the game is the problem, so I don't understand your post. I also never said that we should go in with the same attitude as we did against Swansea. If anyone told me a few days ago that we'd draw 1-1 on Etihad, I would've been happy with it. What bothers me, and I was pretty specific about it, is the manner in which we approach this kind of games. I think it's safe to say that we are one of the best 7 clubs in Europe right now, the other 6 being Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Atletico, Borussia and PSG/City. We've won two European trophies in the last 3 seasons and played a UCL semifinal last year. We signed three of the best players in Europe: Fabregas, Costa, Filipe Luis and brought back Courtois, arguably one of the best 3 goalkeepers in the world at the moment. The point is that we are a strong club, we're not Tottenham, with all due respect. Almost everyone says that we are the #1 favourites to win the league title this year. And yet, we still play with fear against our main rivals. Why can't we show a little swagger, a little winning attitude? I'm not saying that we should go all over City or Arsenal or Liverpool away, but parking the bus is way too embarassing at this level. When you have Fabregas, Hazard, Willian, Schurrle, Oscar, Costa it's just dreadful to park the bus over and over again. And some of you are talking about our defence like it's at a Conference level. And like it's God fault that we didn't buy a CB during the summer. Losing 5-1 on Anfield happens when you're shit, not when you play attacking, positive football. Stop confusing things. P.S: Remember when Mourinho promised us that he will change the way the team plays? Remember when he said that this season we are one of the big horses? Well, it's not a miracle that we look better against small teams. It's actually normal. But when you claim that you are a big horse, I expect you to prove it against another big fucking horse, not against Swansea City. And, at the end of the day, it seems to me that we are still acting like a little horse.
