Well... this is weird.

These are the best players we have. And the most experienced. Holland did the normal thing to do. Wait for Hiddink to start his job and then we'll see changes.
-
We're so good at finding things to moan about.

I am probably the most happy member on this forum right now. Guus won us 34 out of 39 points back in 2009. He won the FA Cup and finished the UCL in the semifinals, UNBEATEN. I remember being so sad to see him go. Come on, let's win today and good times might be coming!
-
We only lost ONE game under Guus.

Time to re-watch the 2008-2009 season review. I'm telling you, I have never ejoyed more Chelsea football than under Hiddink. I don't know if people forgot about it, but we were begging for him to stay back then.

Guus Hiddink close to Chelsea deal after Jose Mourinho sacking The 69-year-old Dutchman has yet to sign a contract but is understood to be happy with talks he held with the Blues hierarchy on Friday.

Funny how people (Not only on this forum) are more concerned about what's next for Mourinho than what's next for Chelsea. Wake up, lads, we're CHELSEA FC.

Well, I work for a market research company and if I have a manager. If anything goes bad with one of my projects and it's my fault, the manager tries to correct it and talks to me, explaining what I did wrong. If I do the same mistake again, he's not gonna be so nice with the explanations. But if I do it the third time, I probably lose my place in the team that I'm part of. The place in HIS team. Because that's what a manager has to do: talk to his team members, let them know what's wrong, try to help them and also punish them if they don't listen to him. And what happens if a lot of my teammates start messing projects up? The company starts to go down, the money come short and the big bosses get upset. Who do they fire? Us, the team members or him, the manager? The answer is simple: the manager. Because the manager is put in that position and paid a lot in order to make us do a good job. If he losses it, if he can't control us anymore, if he doesn't take measures when he has to, it's HIS fault. I love Mourinho and I am really sorry that it didn't work anymore, but I have to agree with Mr. Abramovich: he had no choice but to fire him. Because HE lost the dressing room. It was HIS job not to lose it. I'm sorry, but that's the truth in my opinion. On the other hand, the players' fault is that they put their ego about club's interest. That's why those who did that have to leave aswell. Unfortunately, you can't find 8 other players from Thursday to Saturday, like you can find another manager. I hope that the board will be smart enough to do what's best for Chelsea in the summer. This season is compromised and we need to accept that.

I can't agree with you on this one, mate. You can't give up possession when you are Chelsea and play West Ham or Bournemouth at the Bridge. It might win you the game by 1-0, but that's just a shameful thing to do. I understand the use of the counter attacking strategy when you are weaker than your opponent and you need to get a result. Like it was with us against Barcelona or Bayern. But your main strategy, as a big team, can never be counter attack.
-
I hate that too, it's so lame and boring. Useless.
-
I hope he goes to Valencia or Inter, two clubs that I really like

It doesn't have to be a certain manager to change things. It's about the club's philosophy. The best example is Barcelona. They have a philosophy. All of their teams, even the youngest team of their academy, they all play in the same system. That's how they prepare their youth for the big team. We need a philosophy, we need to have a constant idea of football and stick to it. And the manager is not the answer. The manager can't give you stability in modern football. It's not about that anymore. If you have a philosophy, then you can afford replacing the manager once in a while (look at Bayern, Barca, Real) and still be successful. But if you only count on "hey, let's put this guy here and expect him to build an empire", it's not gonna work ON LONG TERM. There will never be another Sir Alex because football has changed. Completely.
-
Indeed. I still remember when everyone was begging him to stay, back in 2009. That quater final against Liverpool was fantastic.

What do you guys think about Tony Pulis?

Why is this woman so important, though? Why can't people get over it? Talk about Mourinho being sexist, but if she was a man no one would've gave a crap about all of this.
-
Let's not be moronic about it. I feel bad for Mou, I despise a lot of the players, but shit, I want Chelsea to win this game.
-
There will clearly be a manager for the rest of the season and another one coming in the summer. Hiddink - Guardiola would be stunning, but I wouldn't mind Hiddink - Emery though.

Well, Hiddink would be a decent solution.

Ugh... This feels so weird.

Honestly, I don't think it would be that tragic to appoint Ramos. All that matters is what the players want. The board could aswell appoint me and it would be the same thing. These players are mature enough to bounce back, but it's pretty obvious that they do not want to work with Jose anymore. Whoever comes will have an easy mission. Things can't get much worse than they already are. If Mou leaves, the players won again. And if the players win, their confidence will be back and surely the results will improve a lot, no matter who the manager will be. But the main problem is that these players can win this fight, but the club can't allow them to be here for the next one. During these months, some of them proved that they are not good enough for Chelsea, while others proved that their ego is bigger than their professionalism. Only a few deserve to be here for the next season.

I would love a German manager, if Mou leaves. There are a lot of great guys in Bundesliga.
