  1. Makes tackling that much more fun doesn't it?
  2. Haha I love your analogies sometimes Zashko!
  3. Essien and Mikel would be great at closing down Xavi and Iniesta. They're both big and strong, and know how to intercept a pass
  4. Pretty good line up though.. Cech Bosingwa - Ivanovic - Terry© - Cole Mikel Essien - Ramires Anelka - Drogba - Malouda or (like I'd want..) Cech Bosingwa - Ivanovic - Terry© - Cole Essien - Ramires - Mikel - Malouda Sturridge - Drogba
  5. Blues News on CTV confirms John Terry & Michael Essien will play on Saturday. Alex will have surgery this week and be out from 6-8weeks
  6. Interesting story from the Daily Mail..
  7. Yeah you're right about Inzaghi. And right on the players ahead. Perhaps it could be a money issue why he'd leave. But even looking at Bayern Munich, he won't break into their first team any time soon either. Like you said, it's easier for him to break into our little squad this season. I hope this is how he sees it.
  8. Exactly! How ESPN know of this news before Chelsea announce it is beyond me. Once again, our club shutting us out.
  9. Also, I don't see how a move to AC Milan will be any better for his development.. Their attack has; Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Ronaldinho, Pato and even Inzaghi. Of which only 2 play in the current formation, at a time. How he'd break through there, I don't understand. Illogical move.
  10. Well let's be fair, that's when there were no expectations for Chelsea and it seemed like a good risk to take considering our table position But I get your point..
  11. Sigh. Our very own Owen Hargreaves?
  12. Cover up more like, they must've given him a good compensation fee or something. Good on Ray for not blasting us in public, he may not like the decision, but he's Chelsea through-and-through
  13. who's going to be surprised if he's sold?
  14. Let him go! He's not getting his chance to prove himself here (with Paulo Ferreira getting the nod over him at centre back), so let him to it at PSV. PSV have a habit of establishing young talent, he's also dutch, they can only improve him as a player. As they did with Alex. I pray Chelsea listen to him.
  15. Posted this in the Borini thread yesterday, but still. It'll be a great loss for us, but if he wants to go, let him go..
  16. The one thing I liked about Hasslebaink was his partnership he formed with Gudjohnsen. I think that was vital to his success. We haven't really seen that kind of partnership at the club for a while, Anelka and Drogba, while good on the pitch, they don't have the same chemistry Hass-Gud did. Then again we play 4-3-3 now so we wouldn't really expect that kind of link up play.
  17. This will only get worse now that FIFA have lifted the rules on Agents having to be registered (or some sh*t like that). It will make our transfer policy very difficult too, we've seen Abramovich tightening the transfer-kitty, if we have to cover, club, player & agent fees then negotiations for players will be very difficult. Especially since agents are usually money-hungry monsters
  18. I feel sorry for this generation of youth because they know much chances won't come. What they don't realise is they're a stepping stone in our youth development progress. Right now the attraction for young stars to come to Chelsea is minimal, they've seen the lack of chances we give compared to ManUtd or even Arsenal. Hence why, when usually given a choice, we're not so high up on a young star's dream. However with the progress that's being made, seeing youth come into the team making their impacts can only benefit the appeal of this club to young players.
  19. Sean Lock is a comedy genius! The face he's a Chelsea fan makes him that much better
  20. Daily Mail say Borini's Chelsea career is over after shoulder surgery..
