Yeah! He was key in the scum beating us at Anfield!
-
Agreed. I think for most of us it's, rather Mourinho with us than against us, our track record vs him isn't great so far
-
You're still not grasping the concept. Of course, all of us here, will back the club through thick and thin! We support our players & management regardless of if we think they should be there or not. Support and opinion is completely different. It's like saying you support your country (out of a deluded sense of 'patriotism') but not favouring your President. You support everyone, but you have your own opinion about things like management. For example myself, I don't think Kalou is a Chelsea-required player. But when he comes on, I hope he does well & I support him. Doesn't mean I think he should be here though. Do you get what I mean?

I'll tune in as usual. Go home and check iPlayer for yourself

You'd think I was fat. I have a high metabolism - Eat all day & never get fat. The wonders of genetics ey!

Well I'm not following Serie A to that extent currently. There are 2 things I can perhaps comment on, about that. The pace of Serie A. Admittedly the pace of the football has improved over the last few years but generally it is still a very tactical battle in Italy, attacking is done systematically and is organised. It why the "old guard" don't have problems when it comes to lasting the entire game, because there's not as much running as there is in the Premier League & La Liga. Milan have some good youth amongst their ranks; Pato, Boateng, Amelia, Merkel (who will be amazing one day!), Sokratis ect.. I was very shocked to see them sign 35-year old Yepes & 33-year old Van Bommel in January. The singing of Cassano was positive, though he's 28, he still plays very well. I'd agree with those fans that players like Gattuso, Ambrosini & Zambrotta need to make way now.The decline in form of Inter Milan & Juventus. Everyone knows what happened when Mourinho left Inter Milan and Rafa took the hotseat.. In a word, chaos. The players weren't happy, the fans weren't happy & Moratti was unhappy. This reflected in the performance of the Nerazzurri, where they failed at basic defending (probably Benitez using zonal marking again!), basic attacking & basic logic. Standard policy when Mourinho leaves a team, hell breaks loose . Juventus have been on the decline for a while now, they haven't been as competitive as they used to be, and they've basically become the Liverpool of Serie A. Del Piero will not last long now & Buffon's having his share of problems. Even Roma (AC's other rivals last season) were in disarray, their sacking of Ranieri epitomised that! Like I said, I don't follow Serie A as much any more, so those are the only explanations I can offer currently.

Don't forget to show us how it looks on you (just kidding ) My latest purchase: £8 from HMV. Virtually a steal, for such a classic.
-
What do you mean?
-
I don't know about Mourinho at Man United. He'd last a maximum 5years there? Before taking on Portugal? I don't know if that would attract United - No doubt Fergie will have his input on who takes over. Kind of reminds me of Brian Clough - Don Revie (Leeds United) situation to be honest
-
Just the labelling part, honest
-
Haha yeah, but it's funnier because it's Wenger & look at his goal keeping situation now
-
Perhaps so. People Fans are still allowed to change their opinions though, it is not only based on results that fans have made judgements on Carlo. It's also things like his track record with AC Milan, his youth policy, him being a "yes man" and other, valid, points. You may not agree, but calling them plastic is a cheap come back, a much better option would be to debate their views - not label them glory hunters or plastic.
-
Justin_3d you have failed to understand the difference between a "plastic fan" & giving a valid input in a debate where both sides have a good point. Just because some fans say Ancelotti isn't the right man for the manager role does not make them a "plastic fan" it simply makes them a fan entitled to their opinion. Even now, when we're supposedly in a good moment, some fans don't want Ancelotti here next season, even if we win the Champions League. So how does this make them plastic fans? They are looking at it from a long-term point of view.

Love QT! Should be interesting with the budget today to see what issues are raised. Will you be asking a question?
-
Ah fair enough then. I agree he wasn't my player of the year, because Cech was - But I understand what you meant now
-
It's good to hear from you Vincent. We're all happy that things are looking up and I hope the bone marrow punction will deliver some good news for you
-
LMAO! Wenger you total
-
Can we just have a single "Chelsea manager" thread please? The number of threads we've got about our manager is insane (insanity: doing the same thing over & over again). Thanks.

Good thing with Luiz is, he's very young & adapts very well. Now that he's settling in with players like Ferreira, Alex & Ramires he's becoming more and more comfortable. It was good to see passionate words of praise from the like of Lampard, Drogba & Terry after full time. He has his flaws, but with time & experience he will learn to correct these. Everyone knows about how he should've got sent off versus United but immediately after he stuck that leg out - He realised what he'd done and tried to apologise to Wayne. It's something he will learn not to do in high pressure matches. I think it kind of works in our favour that he's not eligable for the Champions League this year, it keeps him fresh & he's less likely to pick up an injury. One day we won't call him "the next Carvalho" we'll say "better than Carvalho"

It's an honour to have you on TC! Your videos are outstanding, please keep up the good work!! Welcome to the forum
-
Yeah he couldn't be more right. Good point about the new blood being a kick up the a*s for the old guard. We will see the best of Torres soon, we can't give up on him at all.
-
Excellent plan! And whom do you intend to marry to achieve that?
-
Have to disagree on the overall message of that mate. Ivanovic has got one thing that most our players don't.. The ability to win the ball aerially above everyone else. I've lost count of how many times Ivanovic is the first man to meet a corner when attacking & defending! His had so many scoring opportunities from simply winning a header, over defenders who are much taller than himself. Aside from his, his commitment to win the ball when one-on-one with a defender is next-to-none. He'll never commit too early for a ball and his strength is far more than Luiz's. His composure is also better than David Luiz's. He always runs after the ball to prevent corners & get them for throw ins instead. He's always there to get a block in when attackers are about to strike a ball, it doesn't matter how powerful the shot, he'll always sacrifice himself to prevent it going goal-wards. You are right in the fact, he's been consistent because we've had injuries at the back. What makes Ivanovic different from that, is that he's always had a good personal game. Hardly ever puts a foot wrong & deserves an enormous amount of credit for that.

Hahaha don't worry, I don't stick to that rule. But I like to kid myself so it seems less bad Sweet Mary Jane

Happy Birthday! Certainly not! I for one, prefer to remember the night before (& keep my liver in tact! )
