  1. LOL a United fan will talk about c*nts in the team? That's rich. Funny how he's forgotten about Mr Cheating Giggs & how Rooney held their club hostage for £250k/week. Though it's a shame he was right about the last part
  2. I agree. But at the same time we do the most to support the man too, we spent £50million on him, so we must build to also accommodate him. The good thing about Aguero is, he's a natural goal scorer too who can play in the CF role, so even if Torres isn't scoring at least Aguero would.
  3. Definitely! But I don't see it happening
  4. I'm the opposite. I think Aguero & Torres are more effective. They already know each other's game & Aguero will definitely give Torres a confidence boost seeing his old team-mate and friend back in the same squad.
  5. Boy will it be awkward if we don't sign him ^
  6. I like the tribute to the fans. He's given them a great few years and for him to stay even this long shows how committed and how much he loves Athletico Madrid. After reading his farewell, I'm convinced he won't go to Real Madrid, he simply loves Leti too much. If we want him, we have a real chance now. Yet with our squad, I don't see the point. If we do it's goodbye Neymar &/or Sturridge. But, Aguero-Torres could work out much better. They can reunite their old partnership, and we can grow a big fan base in the Athleti camp!
  7. Ah you legend! My uncle was at this game, accidentally too
  8. I'd hate that. Have Hiddink for just one season is pointless. We should look to appoint a long-term manager now, or else what was the point of sacking Carlo Ancelotti when he was into his final year of his contract?
  9. I'm glad he's going to Italy. I'd hate for us to play against him.
  10. Yeah but remember what Gil Marin (Athleti CEO) said in April..
  11. That's what Marca said. But I believe that's the Spanish equivalent of Goal.com
  12. Neymar vs Aguero Let the battle of the threads commence :eyebrows:
  13. Apparently a Madrid deal was already signed & he'll be unveiled on Saturday. So Marca said.
  14. I agree with that. LOL touché. Okay so maybe I'm just being delusion.. But I certainly hope so.
  15. I agree. It's a concern of mine too. But we must maintain hope Abramovich will hire someone who he will stick by, trophyless season or not
  16. It's a good comparison to make which is why I believe he isn't leaving any time soon. I'm 100% sure the club's prioritising to become self sufficient so we don't have to rely on Abramovich for operation costs. Just transfers..
  17. Roman has never said anything anyway!! Why should he? He's not in PR! He shouldn't have to break his silence when he knows everything he says will over analysed & twisted by others. I prefer him a quiet man. And how do we know it's even his sole decision? I'm sure he's got a board of directors who sign off on this kind of stuff. It's not fair to lay sole blame on our owner. Gourlay & Buck must take their criticisms too.
  18. The whole world can fuck off. The club will replace Ancelotti with someone who will be much better in their eyes. When they bring success you will all cheer, just like you did under Mourinho's success & under Ancelotti's success.
  19. LMAO. You guys don't realise how much we should thank Roman do you? We've won 10 trophies because of him. We won our first ever Premier League under his regime, we won our first ever double thanks to his investment! We'll survive without him? Seriously? How will we pay the players wages? How will we fund transfers that everyone cries out for our team without landing into millions of pounds of debts to fund? Don't be so ungrateful.
  20. I know most fans are in shock and angered by the decision to part ways with Ancelotti yesterday. Since then, a lot has been said, perhaps in a knee-jerk moment. However there's been a lot of bashing on Roman Abramovich, I'd like to say, this is shameful. Abramovich has invested almost a billion pounds into this club. Taken us from the younger, quiet neighbours to Arsenal and Tottenham and made us a force that threatens the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid & Manchester United. No only has he funded transfers, he's cleared all our debts, he's not indicated he's thinking of walking away & he's invested heavily into our youth system. We talk of future endevours, such as a new stadium. Make no mistake, a new stadium will only come through heavy investment. Investment, which will only come from Abramovich. He has his flaws. Of course he does! Find me some owners that don't. Yet we must take a step back and reflect. Look at the Glazers and Manchester United. They're the definition of bad owners, owners who took a club, virtually debt free, and has now left them with debts of almost £700million. Of course his biggest flaw has been on the management team. His biggest mistake was perhaps getting rid of Mourinho and failing to replace him since. Yet I have no doubts that he's only doing, what he feels, is in the best interest of our club. I stand by him, because we know the reality of where we'd be without him. I trust he's learning from all his mistakes and is looking to build a long-term plan for this great football club. Let's wait and see what the future has in store for us. This summer will be very good, we have a new management team to look forward too, new transfers & new hope. ©
  21. Welcome Always good to meet older members
  22. Na, I mean the part about buying back old youth products. Why not? At least we'd help that club make a profit, get in a homegrown player & stop being the non-English English club in the Premier League
  23. Kind of wish we'd do the same. With Sinclair for example.
  24. Exactly He'd get worse abuse from Athleti fans than Torres did..
