  1. Wish I had happier news guys but I've just seen this on Twitter; For those who are not familiar, Tambling is Chelsea's top leading goal scorer with 202 goals in 370 games. A record yet to be beaten, of course. I would write a long tribute, but time is restricting, I'm sure one of our more articulate members will care to later on. Keep fighting Bobby!
  2. Villas-Boas can only plan long term at Chelsea if Roman sees sense at last http://www.dailymail...ees-sense.html?
  3. Described many as a one-season-wonder. Will be interesting to see how he's used.
  4. I think Willian is the surprise you're dreaming of
  5. This is true, and I don't dispute the crockness of Torres but Sam's point is right. Even if we were to buy Higuain, Cavani, Pato etc, they'd all suffer from a poor lack of service. They would put away these easy chances that Tosser misses (we..hope) but they wouldn't get so many chances. We have Lukaku, let's gamble on not buy a striker now and getting a few playmakers.
  6. Lmao haha, the messi tactic board
  7. That's what I was thinking lol
  8. Isn't it €29million they want? Which is roughly, £24million
  9. Most definitely! Remember when Torres said Chelsea have a midfield which is slow & whatever it was, even if he was misquoted he was bang on target (for once ). Mata is the only player who's quick enough and intelligent enough to open up space and provide for his fellow countryman. Lampard's not the same guy that used to give Drogba the passes that he in turn fired home. It's not a Torres defence this, far from it, it's a simple case of "If you want a striker to score, pass him the ball"
  10. Surely Leon Britton over Joe Allen?
  11. LMAO and Sky Sports used the subtitle how they're not willing to sell less than the £29m buy-out. Their quote contradicts that
  12. Does this mean they're willing to sell for less than the £29m quoted?
  13. Yeah, fair do's, then I do very much agree. Sinclair would never come back (but tbh, I don't rate him so highly to fit with our system). Hoilett, any day!
  14. We beat City And remember how shite Liverpool were in the league in '05 when they won it?
  15. We could go far in the CL this season.. Just sayin'
  16. That's probably the weirdest thing I've read on this forum in a while. Lampard, Joe Cole, Essien, Drogba, Anelka, Malouda. None of these were 'world class' when we signed them! Least of all Lampard, I was amazed when Ranieri signed him over Milner.. And look how that turned out! Essien was making an impact in France but not a 'world class' one either, we gambled big money and reaped the rewards. Anelka's the biggest signing that everyone thought was average, that paid dividends. Golden Ball in 2008 rings well in my mind. Not that I'm saying Sessegnon is the player we should consider, but saying we should target already established stars is ignorant to any potential talent that could already be in the league.
  17. Llorente's goal was brilliant!
  18. Can't say he's not right though..
  19. 1-0 win with a blood batch would be nice. A couple of spikes in Barton's leg wouldn't go a miss.. If this is Terry's last game for a while, let it be with a bang
