  1. Names are fine, your sums on the other hand Using your scenario I believe this is more realistic: Out Kalou - Free Bosingwa - Free Drogba - Free Malouda - £5m Essien - £5m Benayoun - £3m --- Total: £13m --- In Tiote - £24m Hazard - £40m --- Total: £64m --- Net toal: -£51m Why did I draw this conclusion? Because we're going to have the same useless, senseless, logic deprived, anti-football, board whoever comes and goes. History therefore suggests we'll let our big name players leave for peanuts and use gold dust figures to buy players. By over paying for stars like Tiote.
  2. Could mark the start of a new era? (I said that last summer )
  3. I refuse to believe that's it till I see it officially. If it is, I'm buying it most definitely.
  4. The linesman that also awarded us 2 offside goals? Let's not have double standards here
  5. Wasn't that in the cup game though?
  6. Yep. Our esteemed owner lives out fantasy football in reality unfortunately. It's inevitable we'll target the lucrative signings, but as TX said, let's hope their done under the media spotlight so that we actually capture them.
  7. I don't even doubt Lukaku's ready for a chance in the first team, it's a shame this club isn't willing to take a gamble on players as it does so easily with managers.
  8. Great article, demonstrates exactly what you were saying. It's ridiculous, a good comment on that as well here:
  9. Indeed. I've been saying this for a while, United see playing on the anniversary of the Munich disaster as an honour because it's actually motivation. The fans use it as an opportunity to properly pay homage too. Once again though Liverpool believe they are all high and mighty above everyone and it's them against the world blah blah. I'd say a Mersyside Derby would be appropriate on the Hilsboro anniversary, I know some Liverpool fans would as well. Abysmal theatrics from Scumpool.
  10. I wish the club would do with Drogba what United are doing with Berbatov. They're going to extend his contract, but still allow him to leave in June so that he doesn't walk away on a free, he's agreed to it and clubs will pay so it's not a problem. Just like Drogba, clubs will always pay. So the club and he should compromise and extend his deal by a year, but allow him to leave. It's a fix that is mutually beneficial.
  11. That doesn't matter, I don't care what Roman craves. I'd rather the club were realistic in what they can attain this season, where their most realistic hopes lie. While Roman will forever think that's the CL, that's simply not the case. We have a better chance of beating Spurs, Liverpool/Everton than we do of beating Barcelona & Bayern/Madrid
  12. We've had some good luck when it comes to playing at Wembley in recent years. Form will be irrelevant since we're pretty much both in horrid ones, it'll come down to who wants it more and it'll also depend on Di Matteo prioritising this with the Barca clash. Personnel wise.
  13. I reckon this is like Nasri last summer. Reports will say we're interested and a bid is imminent yada yada and in the end we won't make any real effort and he'll go off to City or United.
  14. Yea I hate when that happens, suppose it adds a bit of realism to the game though, luck and all . It rarely happens though.
  15. Remember guys it's only his agent saying us. We know agents like to play up what teams are interested, to push up prices, might not necessarily be true.

  17. I knew you'd be the first to respond to that post.
  18. Indeed. We have Lampard-Drogba in the old regime. In the new one we could have Mata & whoever our main striker is next season.
  19. Yea. I'm done with getting excited over our 'prospects' till they're actually given a platform to shine. Be it for us or another club in the PL.
  20. It's a shame when you see the behavioural problems of Pepe and Balotelli. They're both exceptional football talents, which is what makes it even worse. People would kill to have the level of talent they possess.
  21. Well I'm sure that's exactly what Del Horno was thinking 7 years ago
