  1. The incentives for playing for Chelsea & Mourinho (plus some extra 0's at the end of the paycheck) may be some incentive
  2. you telling us you've got £50million in your piggy bank, Ulster?
  3. Well this is interesting, I thought with us releasing Hilario and Turnbull, that was a indication Thibaut would stay with us. That being said, there's going to be some very good back-up keepers up for grabs this summer. Guys like Begovic, Mignolet, Sorensen, Cesar etc are all up for grabs.
  4. Lmao, what's tragic is you're comparing him to Ake. Ake has played 5 games for the senior team this season and most of them weren't longer than 15-20 minutes, Aké is also predominantly a centre-back. He plays there for both the Dutch u21 team and also Chelsea youth/reserves. If you watched Watford properly you'd know it wasn't only their strikers and Almunia who kept them going. Guys like Abid, Forestieri and Chalboah made their spine on most occasions.. It's all good having your strikers do the job up top, but they're not the ones who kept the team balanced week in-week out. That was guys like Chalo and Abid.
  5. Did you even watch Watford play this season? Or are you just looking at statistics?
  6. He's not better than them, not yet. He has undoubted potential to be though.
  7. KPB would be very good for depth if we could sign him cheap. He's versatile to play anywhere in midfield to be honest, but he might not be content being a squad player if he's come from being an almost-regular at Milan.
  8. This is what I'm thinking! Isn't he a really talented no10? Or are people holding a grudge because of Ballack? Lmao
  9. He also confirmed Manchester City are interested & they've supposedly already made an offer.
  10. You'd think it was from some of the responses here
  11. I really hold my reservations about this and I really hope he does prove me wrong by adapting quickly to the Premier League and scoring as we've heard he can. £50millon makes me so skeptical about this transfer and I think it's a step in the wrong direction. I hope I'm wrong.
  12. Lmao, I think you need to go look up the definition of fickle.
  13. Completely agree with you. It's going to be a different environment as well, where the system and tactics will be a lot different. Not to mention the pace of the league. You, quite rightly, already mentioned Oscar as a case and point.. A guy who needed time with that trio and was often the one sacrificed until Bentiez managed to get them all ticking. The question then becomes, are KdB & Andre Schurrle strong enough to overcome the same pressures to adapt that guys like Oscar were forced to endure?
  14. Just seen those De Visser quotes. Can anyone verify them?
  15. And in the famous words of one Kevin Keegan.. "I would LOVE it."
  16. LMAO Warrior definitely can't do football shirts. Liverpool's kit last season was a bit shit, but this definitely tops that shit-factor
  17. This is a very good point. If Mourinho is to keep Terry in the fringes of the squad, he's got to name one of the younger players another vice-captain. There is a case for just giving it to Cech, but I think giving it to one of our more established players might inspire them - Especially if it comes from Mourinho. The question becomes who. I'd make a case for David Luiz, because of his passion, but he's a bit of a hot-head and might cause more harm than good if he gets in the face of a referee lol.
  18. I haven't bought one since 2008 because of that. Though I'm contemplating buying the new home kit, because it's quite overdue.
  19. Lol wut? This is how you base your opinions on transfers? Well no-one was targeting Oscar, Luiz, Azpilicueta etc when we went in for them and look how they've turned out. It's a very baseless argument you've posed.
  20. Ah, I would buy that in a heart beat if I knew it wasn't going to be so f*cking expensive. Kit prices are extortion
  21. How does this make us a selling club exactly? It's not even about needing the money, it's about shedding our huge wage-bill, which isn't a bad thing.
  22. Whilst there were some terrific memories before Abrmaovich came, I won't forget how we were constantly being discussed in regards to our future financial stability under Ken Bates. Year after year there was always and underlying feeling, of it's going to be when not if, we were heading into a financial meltdown. That was never a good feeling, because no matter how well we were doing, those consolation victories against United and Arsenal.. Getting a constant win at 3-point Lane against Supers.. It was all irrelevant in the bigger picture. I always remember that that game was marked the £1bn game. Not just because of the the financial backing we received from Roman to build the Chelsea of today, but because without it we might not be in existence today. So while I miss the trivial things like the atmosphere, being able to afford to go to Stamford Bridge, seeing the magic of Zola with Eidur and JFH, I'll never wish we had those day back. Never.
  23. Did you know there's a phobia called Anatidaephobia - a fear of being watched by ducks LMAO!
  24. This is bad news for us, Baldini going to Tottenham. We can only hope that he and Villas-Boas clash severely and it causes an internal meltdown for Tottenham, but it seems unlikely.
