In a season in which he has barely played. Pretty awful record. Honestly think he should get fined.

This is a completely baffling take... Obviously, no one was telling Poch what lineups to play, or how to play. In fact he was quite flagrantly playing the team very much not as the squad was designed: insisting on playing a left back at LW, a CB at LB, sometimes Disasi at RB, Enzo far up the field, etc. It was like he was trying to create a line up as far away from how they were designed to be played by the people putting the squad together and if he has come close to the sack this year I think that will absolutely be why: they all agreed mutually on transfers, spending a lot of money, but none of it will matter if Poch would then insist on playing a totally stupid system. What we don't know is whether he finally seen sense (or got over whatever point he was trying to make earlier in the season where he seemed to be almost intentionally sabotaging us) or whether he will revert to Chilwell LW, Colwill LB for example when both are fit and available. It is hard to say whether he just got to this winning setup by basically being brute forced into it due to injuries, or actually had an epiphany. Honestly it seems more likely he's just lucked into finding a winning side. But hopefully he's sensible enough to stick with what works and stop the complete madness he was doing at the beginning of the season. It is clear that Poch is not strong at tactical/strategic setups. He is more about motivation, developing players and giving them his trust and backing. Then he just sticks them on the field and tells them to play with intensity. I think there is basically no way Poch can be this groups manager in the long term but for 1 more year (2 years absolute max) as they develop together it probably makes sense.

I think Poch should stay at this point. He's turned it around and if Cole Palmer wants the man to stay then I want him to stay. Let him see out his contract and poss extend him for a year if we're top 4 around Christmas.

I have never heard anything about a 5 game suspension for violent conduct, except in exceptional circumstances like those issued to Suarez. I would assume it will be 3? Honestly don't think Reece should continue as captain. What he has going for him is that he has been at Chelsea for a very long time, which is great. But I'd sooner have Chalobah or Gallagher be captaining than him tbh, if that is all we're looking for in a Captain. Better yet I would like an experienced international footballer who stays fit and is captain for their country to be our captain, but I'm not sure we have any of those anymore...

Barco is a little gremlin looking motherfucker Reece James man, stop ego lifting your way to injury in the gym, take up some yoga and stretching, and get some therapy. You could be world class if you don't absolutely fumble it.
-
What did you just say homie do you know what a jinx is?
-
Reece James should definitely issue apology for that. Absolutely disgraceful from a supposed captain to risk our season like that.
-
I agree. Some kind of madness to put him in that role, great player and all but it was kind of embarrassing making him captain
-
It is entertaining taking a glance at the Brighton forum - according to them they've been VERY hard done by all game, and that was never a foul as the goalie didn't actually make contract, etc. DELUDED lmao
-
Honestly this Nkunku + Palmer + Jackson combo has no ceiling
-
He did not start the season well to be fair to those who criticised him heavily but on current form he is an incredible midfielder, expensive but what a beast
-
Can't help but dream of Spurs bottling the final game of the season and us sneaking 5th
-
Malo GOATED I really love the man I'm ngl so impressed with this signing for the fee we paid
-
I asked and he delivered
-
Arteta has done a fantastic job in training the Arsenal players into scoring those easy chances with basically guaranteed success. Apparently he has them repeating drills to finish opportunities like that vs no defenders until they literally cannot miss.
-
Haha Jackson I love you man but this is why people are laying into you bro
-
Now would be a great time for Nkunku to pop in a couple of goals and show everyone why we entered the season with him as our main attacking ambition and why next season we might be a lot better if he stays fit...
-
Looked offside tbf but didn't see a foul from the replay..
-
VAR proving itself pointless yet again. Get rid of it and sack the numpties that couldn't find a way to make it work. How can they not send the ref to look at the monitor and decide for himself? There was an age of time for him to go and do it too.
-
Maybe concerned about dealing with Brighton's pace? It is a bit baffling though... Lets see how it goes
-
This would be a dream for me, just for the continuous pace of the game, and knowing more or less on the spot whether I can celebrate a goal and just..enjoy football.

Certainly not the same thing as stripping the club of assets, from that perspective it is a total non-story. The assets stay within the company. All large businesses are made up of a holding company and a bunch of different companies the parent company owns. We're selling assets between them at fair market value, keeping them within the group. The real risk here is whether or not this behaviour is against financial fair play in the premier league where the rules state that: "For the avoidance of doubt, a Club will be in breach of its duty under Rule B.15 if it presents an Associated Party Transaction to the League (pursuant to Rules E.55 – E.77): (i) as a product of a genuine commercial negotiation where, in their reasonable and honest belief, no such genuine commercial negotiations took place; and/or (ii) as having a genuine commercial rationale to the counterparty when they do not hold a reasonable and honest belief that such a genuine commercial rationale exists." Of course, we don't even know that the club has actually done this deal, what we have here is a twitter thread from an obsessive, known Chelsea hater (obsessed with us and been screaming we're getting banned for years...wrongly, over and over), what we've got here is some loser on twitter speculating about other people's speculation built on top of other people's speculation. I would just ignore it all and trust the club. So far they've been very responsible and even self reported themselves before.

As MoroccanBlue has posted, there was no fee for Broja, because no one would pay one. And us putting some random price tag on him means nothing also, we have tried this with lots of players and got no where near it, it is just a negotiation tactic. Clubs will be interested if he is cheap enough, but none of these clubs are going to spend more than £20m on him up until he actually does something to deserve it. He's done nothing to earn it. You mentioned his stint at Southampton in the PL where as a striker he scored 6 goals. Lets get real. He needs to start scoring goals again if he is going to even fetch £20m. If he does and hit a little run of form going into some transfer window or another maybe we can get £30m/£35m in the future, but certainly not now.
-
£20m would be a miracle, unless he actually finally does something in his career. He is 22 and turns 23 in summer. He will probably end up playing in the Championship and have a reasonable career there and maybe get a few years in the PL later in his career, by which time maybe he has developed enough to get 10-ish goals a season.
