  1. probably will end up at NY counterpart of LA galaxy in a couple of seasons..
  2. vicente has had worse luck with injuries than robben and has now almost completely faded off.. navas is young, joeyesque and a seville product but operates on the right side which i dont think needs strenthenging with joey around and besides would cost a bomb.. silva has had a great season last year but this was worth forgetting but that was the case for the whole of valencia so you never know.. well a top form zidane would be great too messi as much as i like, barca wouldnt sell, would they?
  3. atleast he's giving it his all and not cribbing to leave or for a contract which must be coming towards an end soon..
  4. Well we have existed for 5 years now, took time to get the numbers up but we are now a match for the united and arsenal fan clubs.. we are a 1000+ member strong now.. I've been writing, mailing, couriering to the Club but to no avail.. and when i got someone to visit the club when he was there for a match, i learnt the offices are closed on matchdays.. (mike had warned me abt it, but since he was going anyway might as well have had a look) can anyone please help me on how do i go about this? we have screening for the big matches and football meets too btw going more offtopic the top 3 mumbai fan club table is something like this Chelsea Played 5 Won 3 Lost 2 Man Utd Played 5 Won 2 Lost 3 Arsenal Played 5 Won 2 Lost 3 and as big a coincidence as it may sound we played these matches as a prequel to the actual Chelsea matches.. and whenever we won Chelsea has gone on to win.. so i hope you'll be glad to know we beat the united fan club today under the leadership of none other than some pics incase anyones interested pic1 pic2 pic3 getting back, any help would be most appreciated.. thanks...
  5. Just to throw in a name.. Unai Emery, he took the promoted side almeria to 10th in la liga ahead of the likes of valencia, getafe, zaragoza, espanyol, betis, osasuna etc..
  6. Down here in Mumbai, we'll be holding a joint screening of the Chelsea and man utd fan clubs.. the epl coverage only started in 1998 hence the vast number of mancs here.. they do their routine, where were you when you were shit etc they sing their chants, even glory glory manutd from the printouts that the manc chairman passes around.. so i made a few of them.. sung to the tune of glory glory man utd where were you pre '99, wanking away, while fergie whined.. (second line best accompanied with hand gestures) and you don't know your chants, you read from printouts.. You gloryhunters, get the **** out.. what do you think?
  7. joaquin had a brilliant season last year but this was more of a formality but that was the case with the whole of valencia squad, besides he's more of a right sided player and i don't really like playing joey on the left week in week out..
  8. i would appreciate if he left a mark on the team, can you pinpoint one thing in this team that tell's you it's grant's team.. and now i'm so pissed on him that even if we won the CL the only people i'll be giving credit is clarke and ten cate..
  9. i prefer How i met your mother, i mean most working friends would rather prefer a bar rather than a coffee shop
  10. aguerro, for his age, is brilliant Villa's natural position is a second striker, he is one of the most clever strikers around imho.. he has a great shot on him, great at freekicks, both footed and creates for others.. problem is he's only been played as a lone forward or on the wing of a 4-3-3 in last couple of seasons.. if you haven't been following la liga regularly, ask any one who has and i bet 99% of them would say villa is better than torres.. huntelaar doesn't create but give him the ball and he scores.. but we don't play that type of football.. unless we get both of them or that type of players for a 4-4-2, both won't fulfil their potential..
  11. as much as i like the kid, i just can't see barca selling him..
  12. or it could just have been the own goal and the home advantage?
  13. my friend it's not Chelsea(eager to sign a player) that'll be buying the players, that we are looking to sell, besides the clubs in for buying would know they are surplus to us and hence have the upper hand while bargaining..
  14. i could never not mind lampard not leaving.. a winger for me and if a striker(drogba) is leaving then an apt replacement.. villa though better than torres(imho) is a not a CF and can't play as good alone upfront.. and huntelaar doesn't create but you give him the ball and he scores...
  15. good signing, surely avram with this hands full at mangement wouldn't have had time to shortlist players for transfers so soon
  16. i reiterate my hate for him, and especially those of us who don't like grant's lack of animation, you're in for a ride.. he was nothing post ten cate at barca, and if success comes when he's here.. he'll have it just like grant has been having now.. the only positive for those excited by the youth, is he atleast tries them out even if its early season..
  17. so you're the son of the legendary duffski, sorry i still like to call him that.. have seen you in pics he posted on the older talkchelsea.. hope to see you around.. cheers
  18. messi as good as he is, is too injury prone, injured half the season.. thats not worth 80 million to me, and besides boixos nois would kill laporta if he sold messi now, not to mention he wouldnt get reelected.. at the threat of sounding too anti star signing.. kaka has not been half as consistent in the league as he has been in the CL and i'm not talking about just this season..
