  1. Yes he needs a rest and beside he was abit out of form. We have a lot of players in midfield who also require a fair share of match minutes. The best way to keep everyone fit and in good form is by rotating the team intelligently as Tuchel is doing. That is one of the secret of our consistent perfomance this season.
  2. It is a good thing when young players develop their ability to play different positions at a high standard. Apart from making the players versatile with high quality it also helps the club spend less funds on transfers. As our team is currently, I do not think we need to sell(except when we need to create space for a quality player returning from loan) nor buy anyone.
  3. Reece is my MOTM. Exceptional performance by Loftus cheek, Ziyech, Silva. Aside that everyone played well.
  4. Havertz really needs to hit the gym as soon as possible. He gets easily rough handled by physical opponents and he rarely wins aerial duels.
  5. There was nothing quite exciting abt Burnley's game yesterday. We beat them on every aspect including setpieces where they are most dangerous in. We broke down theirr defence at will. If we had convert half our chances the scoreline would have still been a minimum of 3-0. One thing is that when u keep on missing your chances in a game u lead by a small magine, the opponent develops confidence that they can still get something from the game.
  6. The fact is how do we solve the issue of profligacy in front of goal! We outplayed Burnley yesterday creating several good scoring chances but we missed the all except one. Most finishing was completely off target even when in a position to put it into the back of the net easily. The selection was perfect but it is just disappointing we drew. Burnley was extremely lucky bcos it could have easily been 6-0.
  7. Lol, u feel that team is not good enough to beat Malmo?
  8. Well I do agree Sarr might be on the bench but I do not think that midfield weak. Saul is really improving using the last game as a reference, while RLC has been solid ever since. Barkley is there to support the midfield in terms of workrate.
  9. Kovacic and Mount joins Timo and Lukaku as our absentees. Good news Pulisic is in the squad for this game. I except to see; Kepa Chalobah Christenson Malang Azpi Saul RLC Alonso Barkley(Ziyech) HOD(Pulisic) Havertz
  10. I would say they are a quite similar in style of play and ability although Gallagher is more versatile on the pitch. Both of them work very hard, can shoot from distance with same level of creativity.
  11. Scored a goal and also had an assist against City today. Top performance from him.
  12. I totally agree with u on this. Barkley needs to be sold. The new Newcastle as a team in transition would really fit his profile. Leeds would fit his game too. Baker was impressive in pre-season especially that match he was drafted to central defence. He would do well in lower table premier league team.
  13. I do think a january loan for musonda to a championship team might ressurect his career back again.
  14. You can add Gallagher to that. Meanwhile any idea where Musonda is at?
  15. Remember Drogba came back to Chelsea at the age of 36yrs from Galatasaray.
  16. Scored two beautiful goals before being substituted.
  17. I would very much love to have Hazard back at Chelsea fc just as we had Drogba some years back. Hazard should be 31yrs by january and can still very much contribute alot on pitch (familiar environment can give him enough confidence to get close to his previous form for us) and off the pitch (help the younger players in the dressing room get better in various aspect). Drogba returned at 36yrs and still had a good effect on the team especially off the pitch so why can't Hazard do more at a younger age. 2-3yrs contribution would be good for us.
  18. That is more reason why he should try and improve his game where he currently first before dreaming of sitting on the Chelsea bench again. Gallagher was on a similar situation last season playing for one of the worst teams but I think he is growing his games steadily.
  19. I do not think it would be any wise decision to recall back such a young player who is a regular in another premier league club( although a struggling team but good for his mental strength). My reasons are that we have up to 6 players already in that position and it will be hard for him to see game time at all. Real game time against several quality opponents develops players faster than just training with quality players but without game time.
