Why was Tuchel sacked? What difference have this guy even made. No aggression at all, steady backward and sideways passes even when we are losing a match. Bad attacking mentality. Wrong positioning of players! It is not about fans demanding for new players every time, condemning them after few months and demanding new ones. Nobody asked questions on why most of these players flourish where they played before and still flourish after they are sold off. Even if we buy Nkunku, Halaand and the rest, they will still struggle with this kind of layer back football we play. Imagine the way we lost to Arsenal. So annoying in our own home losing in that manner. How many shots on target? I understand that we lack much creativity in midfield but a good coach would set up the team to eliminate or minimize that weakness. Why not play two strong no 4 and let others attack freely up front. We are on a losing streak.

Just one creative midfielder with modric or Fabregas qualities changes everything abt this team especially our attack. Looking deeply, that is one of our major problem. Even if we have a DM, if there is no creative and forward minded guy in the midfield we will keep on struggling to create clear cut chances. Jorginho passes mostly in short sideways direction. Kovacic have no clue once he gets near the opponent defence area, only kante tries to put in few good decisions. We really need a top creative midfielder.

Raphinha scored, Kounde with 2 assist yesterday for Barca

Yes definitely questions should be asked if the season ends without us making top 4 but the friend I quoted only mentioned the next 4 to 5 matches, hence the reason I responded in that way. Like let's see how the season ends so we can judge things fairly.
-
He won't be sacked even with a worst performance. We are no more under Abramovich. U cannot buy players recommended by a coach with so much money and sack him bcos of poor results. Not everyone does business that way. Klopp wouldn't have succeeded if that is how Liverpool management judged things.

Gvardiol deal in advance stage. To join us next season if deal is completed hopefully.
-
Zaha did have an immediate higher impact on us over Gordon. Zaha has far better end product compared to Gordon(although he might improve instantly with proper coaching here and also have many years in him as an investment).
-
He made some wrong decisions today but he is young and developing fast. He reminds me of the early days of Ramires. Dude became a beast after few matches. So I believe Gallagher will get used to the team and pressure that comes with playing for a top team in the country. I strongly believe in his ability and it will suite us in the long run.
-
Skysports reports that is the first bid after discussions btw Chelsea and Everton for the last 5 days.
-
Cucu, Loftus and Gallagher after he came on did very well.

I do not support paying very high amount on Fofana. Does it mean there aren't top quality centerbacks we can get without breaking the bank? I do not feel transfer fee dictates how a player might perform for the team. Lots of good defenders of Fofana quality but with far cheaper transfer value. I do even think we need FDJ. Not the sort of creative midfielder we need.
-
I did prefer him if we cannot see any proper guy to sign. Past Premier league experience will help alot. Can still do a good job for a season or two until we have a younger guy trustworthy enough to fill in the striker roll for us. He did score loads of goals for us.
-
How abt Azpi and Alonso + 50m euros for FDJ?
-
And we did be fvcked if 2 out of the 5 cbs gets injured or suspended. For we only have Kk, Chalobah, Thiago as certainty for next season. I did prefer we keep Colwil and Ampadu in the squad mainly for rotation and cup games.
-
I like Cucurella because of his ability on the ball. He was among the most consistent set of wb(s) last season. I also like wingback/fullback such Cornet, Cash, Coufal etc in the premier league.
-
Talking about center backs I don't know if our scouts ever had a look in at these guys. Jurrien Timber(Can play Cb and Rwb well enough) - Ajax Goncalo Ignacio - Sporting co Morato (very strong guy) - Benfica Nico Schlotterbeck(was quality last season) - Frieburg Sven Botman - Lille Maxence Lacroix - Wolfsburg
-
Still a better finisher than Werner
-
Exactly what I have been saying. I can remember days when we bought players like KDB, Salah, Lukaku, Marin, Moses etc from lower clubs and with cheap fee. Although not all turned to world beaters but those were smart deals by the club then. If u have senior players, then it is good to bring in young guys with great potentials to rotate with as well as to understudy the older players. Our failure in getting the best from those players was the usual impatience from our then owner which inturn put so much pressure on the coaches to develop young inconsistent players who requires patience to get to world class level. Klopp got that protection and patience from his team owners hence the results today. If same patience is shown to Tuchel, he will definitely take us to greater levels.

Can't players like Werner be improved so he start finishing off chances? I only see his major problem as composure in front of goal. Always rushing at his shots and mis-timing most of the time because of being in a haste to shoot. I believe this guy would have scored loads of goals in a Liverpool shirt. I would hate it if Werner goes to the next club and start scoring loads of goals. I feel most of our attackers can stay so they can learn from a better prolific attacker like Sterling just like most of our defenders improved learning from Thiago.
-
Seems our scouts don't dig deep for quality players in the smaller teams at times which is wrong. They just look for players who do well for top clubs in various leagues.
-
Sometimes our scouts needs to look out for a little not too popular player with top quality. Look deep at the French league there are quality guys there whom are even really cheap.
-
Getting top 4 shouldn't be judged by result on friendly matches. It is better to lose matches and correct possible errors than losing competitive matches after preseason friendly wins.
-
Lots of double standard comments here and this comes anything we lose a game. The same people that were in support of certain signings calling them quality then still turn back, not just calling those players low quality but calling for the head of the person who signed them. Friendly matches are player to correct possible errors before the season kicks off and those errors will definitely be corrected. In a competitive match we will defeat Arsenal with our best 11(which will still get better with more better signings before season kicks off). Just one top striker will improve us instantly.

Some quotes from Tuchel about Ampadu after our friendly win yesterday. This can be verified in the Chelsea fc website "Ethan did very well in a good position for him in the middle of a back three,” "He plays a lot of vertical passes, he did not play from left to right but only penetrated through the lines of the opponent with his passes and sometimes with his dribbling," “He was very active, and it was a good match for him. He also is training very well.” the manager said after the game

Sarr should be sold. I do not see any need to have him in our squad with youngsters/homegrowns like Colwill, Ampadu available.
