Fans talking shit about Timo is probably the stupidest thing I ever seen in football. Is he a striker and cant score? Yes. Has awful first touch? Yes. But for whatever reason, he adds energy, speed, runs in channels, unlocks space and this makes our attack click. Him, Chilly, James and Tuchels defensive system were the key reasons why we were successful last season. Would have him on the team any time of the day ahead of the likes like Lukaku who just stand and jog around, doing fuck all and provide no energy at all. Besides, finishing is a collective problem with all our forwards, not just Timo. We are inconsistent and when fullbacks provide more goals it says it all. Timo, Havertz, Mount, Puli are all at fault we cant put the ball behind the net. Having inform striker in Lukaku, or Lewandowski for that matter wouldnt solve problems. Bayern still has Muller, Sane and Gnabry who provide proper threat and score when given the chance.

Some were saying we were in a rut during september when we lost to city, but right now we are in worse state IMO. What connect both runs are injuries. Difference is creative blockade is something that can be dealt with (last time), defensive liabilites lie in entire system breaking out (now). 3 goals conceded to WHU, 3 to Zenit. No clean sheet in 4 games. Bad luck or not. We played like shit under Tuchel at times, but this is the first time we are looking absolutely average at the back and teams will look to exploit, the impression that we cant concede is dead in the water for now. Hopefuly Chilly recovers and we bounce back in january.

Chilly had his mental problems in the past, if it is indeed ACL I hope it wont affect him too much. Talking from experience, acls/meniscus tears are a bitch.

As a team we play better without him. We have better system. Even Werner who isnt reliable scorer is more useful in this system because he creates space, adds speed and most importantly since we dont have focal point, its harder for opponents to stop us. Besides the super defence and strong pressing, this is why we won CL last year and could win another title soon. With Lukaku, we play to his strenghts, but unfortunely he isnt good enough to make entire team suit him. However, even with current setup, goals will dry out. James, Chilwell, Mount, Kai, Werner isnt reliable scorer. Fortunely for us, we have so many players and everytime someone is there to score. But a slump could happen. And that is where we will either benefit from Lukaku and go on to win everything there is or he wont be a reliable striker and we wasted 100m. Tuchel and Lukaku need to see this, he will be more useful from the bench in some cases and he will have to take huge responsibility to lead the attack in other cases. Also, Chilly and James are by far our most important players. They arent defensive liability and create complete mayhem on other end. Lukaku should benefit from them once they gel together. Hopefuly Chilly recovers fast.

I dont like conspiracy theories, but this one is obvious for number of reasons.

In that case we have been inconvincing most of the season. We had penalties against villareal, drew to pool. Cp and arsenal games were done comfortably though.

Its also funny how media says we have been disjointed for few weeks now lol. City game was on saturday, thats not even a week. It is worrying that we have been beaten tacticaly by high pressing city and ultra defensive juve with no proper answer, but to say this crisis has been going on for weeks is just stupid. We are now entering very easy run on paper which should be tailor made for Lukaku and this system, so we will see what happens.

Not just the front trio, but we are missing inform Chillwell and James. Those two can overlap, allowing wingers to move and create more space. Azpi and Alonso are decent, but too slow and predictable. Imo the importance of fullbacks/wingbacks is very underestimated. Alonso may have good moments, but he doesnt improve our system as a whole like Chilwell did last season. Question: was bringing Lukaku to add "proven" flat track bully type scorer worth it for the cost of high pressing and chance creation? IMHO no, Werner and Kai worked perfectly in that system, althrough they arent the players that can be relied to score goals. Werner might be shit on the ball, but he was complete question mark for opponents last year in CL. We had so much space thanks to his off the ball runs. Unpopular opinion, but idealy we should start games with same 11 like last year and bring Lukaku on tired defences if we are struggling. Obviously we wont bench 100m striker but that would probably accomplish the goal to make us more complete compared to last year. Winning a title or two with that strategy would be way more realistic compared to current complete change of entire working system just to utilize Lukaku who isnt good enough against best teams. Also on side note, Tuchel improved every single defender here, individualy and as a team. That cant be said the same for forwards. Rarely anyone made any improvement. Ziyech is terrible, Kai, Puli, Werner didnt improve upon their buli games. Mount is only one who did, but is not on that level this year. Its something Tuchel needs to adress. If our attackers didnt improve individualy last year, they worked as a team and that is also gone this year.
