Enzo alright, he is probably only signing Im happy we made along Jackson and Nkunku. He is pure quality along with James, then Chilly, Thiago. Colvill and Jackson have massive upside. Nkunku is class to but maybe injury prone like James. Rest has to prove alot and more for the money we spent. Caicedo and Lavia included. Mudryk was a flop signed just so Arsenal didnt get him. Cucurella should never happen and we should stay away. We already have first choice Chilwell, Cucu isnt CB and was too expensive for backup. Gvardiol could be here instead of Fofana. Fofana is nice player but if injured all the time, we threw 80m out the window yet again.

Not ready to start. The fuck is this? What are these players doing all months? Ramos and Casemiro for example were ready go whole summer for years. You bought them and next day they were ready to start the game. What are these dudes doing entire summer? I expect them to be at least match fit for 150m (Caicedo and Lavia). Form and team chemistry then follows with training and playtime. But at least be fit to play ffs. Obviously dont want to rush to potential injuries, but that should be nonstarter if they conditioned themselves properly.
-
Leao, Gvardiol, Bellingham, Haaland, Kvara, type of players. Starting last summer when we still had CL. If we presented serious project under new owners we could probably bag one or two at least with the amount we spent.
-
Our GK is average and we dont have a single scorer, Luton has a chance.
-
Spending 1 billion, we could have a 100m world class player for almost every position and we look like a midtable team atm. Im all for long term progress, but the money spent doesnt bring optimism we are prepared for long term development by the board. Unless Im mistaken we have the worst spending in history. Psg at least bought stars, attractive football. City dominated league, Real won number of CLs. We spend more than any of those and just look at our starting 11 and the bench. Probs worth around 200m total in reality. Either boehly and co have a master plan that no one sees or this is the worst football project in history that will make Chelsea next ac milan or worse. And I dont realy believe someone from usa who is in football for the first time has a master plan that none of actual football gurus sees. If we miss another CL next year, that will be catastrophic for our club.

It was more of a personal opinion on Haaland. He as I said is fantastic goalscorer, probably most lethal in the world, but in the end, he lacks technical ability in ball control and shooting compared to Henry/Ronaldo/RVP/Suarez/Lewa/Benz etc. Some of those players were best dribblers or long range shooters, capable of freekicks and beautiful curved shots. Haaland is great inside penalty area, but thats about it. He perfected that skill and is now best striker in the world who will probably beat records of all those above I mentioned. Haaland is as boring as inzaghi but due to his stats, he is praised. But IMO to me, he is boring, without any technical smoothness and sadly thats how midfielders and forwards are nowdays trained to be. Lethal in something, but below average without any expression in other areas.

Midfielders nowdays are so expensive and they dont provide half of what midfielders used to. U have bunch of talented players who get good season and odd goal and then they crumble under pressure because they could never score goals on regular basis like Lamps, Gerrard etc. IMO coaching system is now different. They dont allow midfielders to take a shot, but rather keep possesion until a clear chance occurs, hence strikers with half ability (Lukaku, Immobile,...) compared to older strikers (Drogba, Henry, Raul,...) actualy score more. IMO only quality strikers that can be compared to older players were Suarez, Lewa and Benzema. In late 2000, 2005, you had a striker of that quality in almost every top team if not two (Del Piero, Trezeguet). Haaland is amazing at scoring goals, but the dude has zero elegance or technique, a glorified Inzaghi.

And Caicedo had one good season. At least Enzo delivered in World Cup, played in europe for benfica and the hype was somehow justified. If we are ready to pay 120m for CM 2x, we will have to pay 300m for top attackers.
-
We spent 40m on Brighton 3rd choice gk and MLS GK 😄
-
He will be worth 80m soon. Then we will go for him.
-
Maybe they have a bunch of system players who are worthless outside that system. Cucu is example. Trossard proved to be good for Arse though. If Caicedo for 100m doesnt deliver we might aswell close our club.
-
He inded needs to tone down his weight and muscles or he will end up like Micah Richards
-
Isak looks quite injury prone too.
-
Afcon is pain in the ass but we had best squad with Drogba, Essien etc. Liverpool had Salah and Mane and they were fantastic. Missing that month for having world class players is still worth it tenfold. Dunno if Kudus is that kind of player though. Also some people here are ridiculous. Getting Felix back? Lol Selling James is even more idiotic. If he wanted to fuck off ala Mount okay. But we should never turn our back for any type of cash if he wants to succeed here. Simple as that.
-
Barcola is promising but look at his legs, he will break in PL.
-
Elite in being injury prone lol. James, nkunku, chilwell, olise, fofana might be injured half a season. We are Kvara, Leao, world class striker and GK away from being a world class team though.
-
What I dont get is how can we spend 200m on two midfielders while saying Sanchez is good enough as starting GK. We dont have any goal scoring power either but options are limited there to buy. Its just crazy how can we spend 800 or 900m and think Sanchez is good enough.
-
The line between us having great window with arguably best midfield in premier league or this; "£60m for a player who looked decentish for a season in a team that got relegated to play as back up for a £115m player who looked above average for a season for a team who finished mid-table is fucking mental. Lay me out a line of whatever they're snorting down in Chelse before the game on Saturday and I'll be out partying till sunrise the next day." and "So, Chelsea are about to drop another £90m this week. Still playing a 39 year old centre back, Brighton’s 3rd choice keeper. Still no real goal threat. It’s bizarre how bad their business is." (from man city forums) is thin thin thin. We will either look brilliant or complete trash for next 10 years.
-
Slightly shame we didnt sign McAlister instead of Lavia, he knows Caicedo from Brighton and Enzo from Argentina NT, wouldnt cost fortune either. IMO those 3 would be killer. Lavia will be fine too I guess, but he is still quite unrpoven.
-
When Cucurella signed he was nowhere near 60m worth full back, we should pursuit other targets. Absolutely no way to justify his fee. In Lukaku, Fofana, Enzo, even Mudryk cases you could find some sort of potential or quality even if we overpaid, but Cucurella was flat out 30m player at best. Am wondering if Caicedo is in the same boat because its all potential but he plays for Brighton, had one good season, no european games, no international games where he would excel, and he didnt stand out that much. Even if he reaches his potential, he will be maybe 80m player at best. And everyone acts as if he is already world class. Football has gone mad.
-
Its not always smart to sell that many players because we will still need new ones, notably in midfield, striker and winger departments. Who knows how will Havertz and Mount perform elsewhere but for that money, it was smart. Its just a question of what we do with this money now. If we scout badly and bring more deadwood its no progress. Too bad we missed on Mac Allister, he would have nice partnership with Enzo. We should target Caicedo and Veiga/Merino. Maybe even Szoboszlai. A quality striker and winger should also be crucial given so many departures. Because in the end if we dont score, team will lose interest halfway into games and we are back to 0.
-
Costa was difficult personality, but he pulled his weight. Lukaku is just shite.
-
I realy wanna know how will Halaand perform outside Buli. He is very good in CL aswell, but so far Kai, Sancho, Werner, Haller failed massively in terms of scoring goals in england. BULI and Serie a have worse defences than PL, Laliga or even L1. If we ever target a proven, expensive striker, it should be from these leagues. Or go for upcoming gem, less known striker from smaller club. It seems these perform better nowdays than marquee signings. I guess price and wages realy affect striker minds who arent nothing but big babies these days.
-
Tuchel and this system works only when Chilwell and James are both fit and inform. Simple as that. They are the most important players in the squad. Its super easy to see we struggle without them. Defence, linkup play and variety of threat upfront is halved without those two.

Draw against everton c side at home...should do better.
