Club gets sanctioned and we can't renew important contracts. Sevilla are getting 35m for Carlos and 68m for Kounde if we meet his release clause. I'd say they got a really cool 100m which they will spend less than half of on new CBs. They have a good DoF and recruitment strategy (unlike us).

Keep in mind CBs don't reach their full potential till 27ish. Rudiger just reached it. Gvardiol would also block the development of Colwill (who I don't rate that much tbh). So Gvardiol and Kounde are the optimum signings as they can both cover WB if necessary?

Would Kounde and Skriniar be considered a success? Kounde is much more suited to RWB and James can take it easy at RCB. That leaves LCB to cover(idk if skriniar is left footed but I think they need some ability as a fullback which I know he doesn't have. The only inter players you highlighted that I would consider are the LWBs. I would be so happy with either and with Kounde, we would not have a meltdown mid-season because our WBs got injured.

I'd imagine they would only want to sell one. Since Barella doesn't want to leave Italy, Bastoni may well be one of our main targets. Would really prefer Barella though and the only way of making that work out might be keeping our only Italian in Jorginho.

They signed like 5 players last window. Why would Henderson block the move of Kepa or Lukaku?

We should be going all out for Barella. Gvardiol and Bremer should be our CBs. Perisic on a free. Leaves room in the budget for one attacker like Raphinha. Kepa should go to Newcastle. They can have Lukaku too if they like. AC and Rudi leaving, probably Ziyech following them out. Wish Jorginho would go back to Italy. Alonso and Azpi are past their prime. We should keep the latter for CB and WB cover. Team next year GK- Mendy, Back up, Youngster CB - Silva, Azpi, Trev, Gvardiol, Bremer, Colwill WB- James, Chilwell, Perisic, Azpi CM- Kova, Gallagher, Kante, Barella, RLC AM - Puli, Werner, CHO, Raphinha, Mount ST - Havertz, Lukaku, Broja This team still isn't getting the league but will get us top 4 at least.

The difference with Hazard is we had plenty of resale value. If Neymar flops, we are stuck with an alexis sanchez. A loan would be ideal but again, it isn't addressing the issue and most of the loan would be spent adapting to the league. That being said, the wingers on offer this year do not really entice me. I do not want Dembele or Gnabry anywhere near Chelsea. Raphinha may be a shout, but for the right price as he has only proven himself in Leeds.

Nkunku > Sterling 100%. The latter has 2-3 years he should go to a farmers league. Nkunku, Dembele, CM/DM, a couple from Gvardiol, Bremer, Koulibaly or Kounde and backup keeper will be our incomings. Kepa, Rudi, AC, Alonso, Ziyech will be our outgoings. I neither advocate nor advise against these transfers, I'm just making predictions. Tuchel apparently sucks with transfers so I'm waiting till next season to see results.

We are never signing a quality player like Barella. Conte pushed for him and Tonali. We signed Bakayoko and Drinkwater both injured.

Tchouameni and Kamara signed. Rice valued at 150m. I don't think we are signing a DM. Jorginho should go to Juve this year and we sign a Milinkovic savic type midfielder instead.

I think we got really lucky that year. We rode the hype of beating Madrid and Pep overthought his tactics in the final. We weren't the best team in Europe that year, we had an easy route compared to others. I give a lot of credit to Lamps as well for blooding in and sticking with the youngsters. Tuchel was the perfect impact manager which was perfect for the Roman era. But if we spend large amounts of money on a style of play that obviously isn't working, we are going to be another arsenal. Tuchel needs to show flexibility to switch to 4-3-3 but so far he's had sarr and RLC to bring in and implement that tactical change. Maybe with the right buys he can pull it off (as in anyone but Sarr), but I don't think he is world class like Pep.

I think Tuchel needs to show some flexibility or gtfo. Sarri came in and tried to implement slow build up and we got completely screwed until now. He needs to show he can use 433 just as well as 343. I don't mind 343 against the bigger teams but we are just missing numbers in attack and in goals against low block teams, which is the same story since lampard took over. I really hope we go 433 next season.

What's your opinion on Bremer from Torino? Apparently we are hot for him.

He is good on the counter but we play mostly against low block teams. Now that we have American owners, we don't need puli for publicity anymore. We will be the American club with an IPO probably coming soon.

Swap deal for his Boytoy Jorginho seems to be the way to go.

I saw that too reported by Bild. Not too sure about his ability but he was a rotation option during Euros. I'm guessing we are in the market for a more defensive CM to cover for Kante. I don't see how they don't expect shambles if they expect RLC to play that role.

I think buying Ifs isn't the worst idea. Ifs got us Hazard and Havertz. Every player we have bought at his peak, we have destroyed, all the way back to Shevchenko (apart from the odd Fabregas). All of our Ifs from last year are more established and managed to win CL in their first year. I'm hoping Lukaku is a fabregas/Costa type signing as he is just a piece of the puzzle. My issue is that I don't think he's suited to a team that presses so he will probably be limited to teams that sit back. That just means we are buying a squad player for 100m which reeks like a Drinky/Barky signing.

Apparently arsenal and spurs are fighting it out for Vlahovic. Lukaku is a level above. He will lose his pace but hopefully make up for it as a target man and hopefully learning how to lead the press. We will get 5 years out of him.

I doubt it. More like Saloman Kalou. Will miss a ton of chances but will have some moments. Will still be a useful squad member, but it begs the question 'why did we let him go in the first place?' We could've avoided Morata and used him as backup for Costa. I expect us to keep playing with a false 9 against City and Pool and use Lukaku to give us a different dimension against lower teams.

I can see us not signing a CM and him playing deeper when we need cover.
