I expect him to join the development team like Chukmueka did at first. Our development team almost got relegated that's why we're signing a lot of young players, and to have for the future.
-
How is he agreeing to be a rotation option? I think if haaland wasn't tearing it up, people would be calling him the next aguero.

https://www.football.london/Chelsea-fc/news/next-england-manager-odds-potter-25729469 Potter is bookies favourite to replace Southgate if he walks.
-
Get well soon Armando! He actually had a shot at becoming first team material this year and this injury has probably ruined his career like RLC and Odoi. Another one bites the dust...
-
Is this season a write-off or are we still in for CL places? Moreover, how do we expect to sign Gvardiol, Leao and Bellingham if we don't have CL next year. I think buying young prospects and developing them like Arsenal did is our best shot because no superstars want to come to Chelsea Atm. We need to find diamonds in the rough like Martinelli and wait for them to develop. Our best shot is to find these diamonds and wait 2-3 years for them to develop before we have a shot at getting back into CL. That is if we aren't irrelevant like spurs by then, especially with Newcastle on the up and rise.

Remember when we signed Ballack? I bet a buttload of clubs were after him that summer, yet he chose us. That is what really pull is. That is what Boehly lost us in one summer. That is what Potter will never have. Player like Ballack will never play for a transition club like were are now. The risk is to perpetually always be stuck in transition like ManUre.
-
Benfica have pull though. Arguably rhe best team in Portugal whose language many South Americans speak, excellent record of developing players and CL every year. Have I missed anything? We will most likely be our of CL next year based on form. All of our Portuguese and Spanish speaking players are leaving next summer or the one after. Our record of developing players is dismal at best, apart from Hazard who went on to flop at Real. Embarrassing to say but even Benfica have more pull for South American talent than us.
-
So that's it for Endrick. Everyone is in for Goncalo Ramos now he scored a hattrick in WC finals. Bellingham probably isn't going to choose us. Time to focus on signings from Swedish 5th division where our manager has some pull.
-
They are spending our money for sterling and getting sterling 2.0. Yes it would piss off the gunners but it means a bigger gap between us and the top.
-
Tier 2 says Munich haven't even made an offer yet. It may not be over...
-
I think they are waiting for another signing as our star signing of the summer can't be from a rival. Sterling and ake would probably depress all of us and cement us as worse than City. Shirt reveal is probably being set back to be revealed with a signing. My advice is ignore the rumour mill as it'll be heartbreaking when we miss out on everyone till we sort out a new stadium. This season is probably a write-off. Owners can't establish themselves in the transfer market in one window. They should've kept Cech or Granny till the next window at least. Granny would've roasted these targets by now if Tuchel was in charge of choosing them in the first place.
-
I think neymar would play on the left. I would take neymar on a subsidised loan because he's better than Werner and Puli put together. Again, it raises the question of whether we want the drama, as with Ronaldo.
-
Sterling, De Ligt and Raphinha would've been the perfect window imo. Add in a dash of wingback and we would've gotten 3rd place easily.
-
Raphinha was my favourite target. He is so much more proven than the rest of our targets, other than sterling, but raphinhas press is what made him so important to us.
-
Probably Rabiot.
-
Tbf she has no football knowledge and is basically just a negotiator. It's the clubs fault for not having a Director of Football
-
Says who? You? The only reason we don't play 433 like the big teams is that we don't have a proper DM. He chose 343 because it best suited the players we had. If he brings in players for a 433 he at least has the option. He tried to implement this multiple times over the season but Sarr is a terrible LB and we don't have a DM.
-
My optimistic take for this transfer window. In Raphinha, Rice, De Ligt + 1 CB, Clauss + LB cover This is completely doable with 200m GK Mendy (Slonina) RB James(Clauss) CB Silva(chalobah) CB De Ligt (Colwill) LB Chilwell(backup) DM Rice (Jorgi) CM Mount(Kante) CM Kovacic(Gallagher) LW Pulisic (Werner) RW Raphinha (CHO) ST Havertz (Broja) Squad players: Azpi, RLC + whoever we can't get rid of( Batman, Kenedy, Barkley) otherwise use an academy product. That is a good squad and the depth is great. We would definitely challenge Spurs for 3rd place as their depth is not as good as ours. They almost beat us to 3rd because they had no europe most of the season. I expect them to improve under Conte but the strain of CL will show eventually. Kane and Son can't play 60 games a season.

How can you compare someone who's duty it is to defend, with someone who's duty it is to attack? That's like comparing Kante to Messi. They are difficult to compare because one makes interceptions and one gets goals. The main reason Lukaku was such a flop was the price tag. I can see Rice being underwhelming if he comes for 100m. However, he will completely change the dynamic of the team allowing us to move away from a back 3. We haven't been able to play 433 for a decade (refer to Sarris season where he played Jorgi at DM and Alonso Azpi as wingbacks. Tuchel is more flexible and chooses his tactics based on the needs of the team rather than a specific talisman (e.g. Jorgi or Lukaku). If he gets the players for 433 I think he will make the switch. We have solved our WB problem, we just need a DM and Rice is the only one remotely available. He is friends with the academy graduates so wouldn't take too long to settle in and wouldn't even need to move from London. We just need to factor in the English tax which brings his value to around 70-80m which is what is being quoted in rumours.
-
Raphinha is pacier and more athletic. This is where Ziyech fails in PL. I think we get the better deal if this goes through
-
I find the people on here saying they can't wait for Kounde slightly more annoying....
-
I would rather keep Broja and give him a chance. RLC can go, even though he does his job as a squad player. 50m + Ruben isn't a crazy offer and values Ruben at 20-30m.
-
But think how much that upgrades our MF....If the board push for him he may ask the club to sell him. 70-80m is doable but just depends on whether we can sort out our Def and Att before then. We are always going to have to deal with it next year when Jorgi and Kantes contracts run out. Rice would allow Mount and Gallagher to both play as 8s in front of him.
-
Why are people saying to sell Puli? He's still yet to enter his prime, he has good marketability and the owners are never going to sell the best yank in the world. If Liverpool bought him to replace mane, klopp would turn him into a world beater. The same donkeys that wanted to give lukaku a 'chance' are the same donkeys saying sell sell sell. Its sad that the fanbase has no support for developing players and only want to buy worldbeaters like donkeyaku. We bough Hazard and developed him(although I will concede Puli will most likely never be on his level.)
-
If he's going on loan for 5m I don't think we can afford a replacement. We need to shore up the defense and midfield. I don't think this leaves enough room in the budget for a top attacker. We may get a squad option if Werner/Hakim leave.
