  1. You say it like its all in the clubs hand what to do and when to do it. As I said before, most sane managers with ambition dont want to join a struggling side when the season is still going but wait till the sunmer. Reports say that Nagelsmann e.g. isnt open for a job until the summer and even tho Enrique seems keen on the job, his management will tell him to wait as well bc there is also heavy flirting with PSG, where he could be reunited with Neymar. Its not like Chelsea is the only club in the world and a managers dream, there are many big clubs and there is no point for these candidates to rush the decision from their point. So its not like the club is actively delaying the managerial appointment with a bunch of managers waiting to be appointed as we speak, its simply not. Also, you say it like Saltor wanted to contuinue. Do we even know that? He is a Potter guy and from what I heard he sees himself in that assistance role and doesnt really feel comfortable in this headcoach position so we dont even know if keeping him for the rest of the season was even an option.
  2. Are we really discussing that fat waiter now lol. Even Scolari would be a better option. Some really love to moan about things using this forum as a weird self-help group.
  3. Typical twitter quotes taken out of context. He was asked if he has been told if its strictly until the end of the season and he said: "no, but I think the role and the explanation of my role speaks for itself and the period that Im here for." Also where did he say that we are in the title race? I saw the presser and he didnt say that. Another fake twitter quote. Never trust twitter guys. Its either fake statements or taken out of context. I always told you to be careful what u wish for. U wanted Potter gone so badly that u didnt think about the consequences. For me it was always clear that we will appoint the new manager in the summer and not immediately. Most sane coaches who arent desperate to find a job want a fresh start after a finished season to start all over. Thats the case now as it seems. Maybe u thought that after Potter we can just snap and hire the new guy immediately, but that is not how things work, not at this stage of the season. So it was always clear we would have a caretaker for the rest of the season. And tbf, it doesnt really matter who that is. Now its Lamps, better than some unrelated random guy a la Benitez or sth like that. U all agreed that hiring Potter was a rushed decision so this time the board is evaluating for a longer period to get it right this time. Exactly the right thing to do.
  4. Boehly/Eghbali: “We are delighted to welcome Frank back to Stamford Bridge. Frank is a Premier League Hall of Famer and a legend at this club. As we continue our thorough and exhaustive process for a permanent head coach, we want to provide the club and our fans with a clear and stable plan for the remainder of the season. We want to give ourselves every chance of success and Frank has all of the characteristics and qualities we need to drive us to the finish line.” #cfc
  5. I mean the fact that the club wants to bring in just another interim manager. We dont really know the reason for that.
  6. Who knows, no one believed in Di Matteo either. The thing is: at this stage, we just dont have sufficient information to really assess things. Does the club want to implement the new coach in the summer or now? Do the candidates want to be implemented in the summer or now? Does Bruno Saltor even want to continue as interim coach? We just dunno. But it seems not that simple as some would have wished after sacking Potter. This is why I wanted Potter to stay till the summer.
  7. Enrique and Nagelsmann dont seem to insist on that, so maybe thats just another fan perspective that isnt really important to a real coach. In this day and age u dont have to attend training sessions so assess players, nowadays its all data driven. Im sure the candidates can have a look on the players remotely.
  8. Good to see that every candidate only wants to join in the summer and not now. No point in appointing them now. Even the candidates themselfs seems to follow that.
  9. Just shows u that just changing the manager wont solve your problems. Look at United. Ten Hag not even better than Rangnick😂
  10. The xG algorithm takes this into account tho, position, distance, opponent players position and so on. Like a tap in is a xG of 1. Just remember the many 1on1 situations we had recently, and none of them were converted. But this means we are actually getting into these situations where we surprise the opponent, otherwise it wouldnt be a 1on1. The overall tempo and build up is too slow, I agree, but we produced enough to be in a better position where we are right now. We should have scored 17 goals more this season under normal circumstances (following the xG), seven fucking teen. We just cant score, even tho we are creating chances. And I doubt this has sth. to do with the previous manager, bc the players we have have a similar terrible goal scoring record under any previous manager they had. What I want to say: it doesnt matter who the manager is, with players not converting chances, this manager will struggle. Ofc the system and the overall confidence affects this, but Im not sure a Havertz would bang in goals under Pep. Liverpool ist struggling a lot, lacking confidence, but even then Salah has a similar goal record this season as his xG is (xG = 13, goals = 12).
  11. Maybe we can get Kolo Muani - that guy is unreal.
  12. I see what u mean, what u mean is attractive football. But for me team that is creating chances plays good, bc in the end thats the goal of this sport, but can play unattractive, true. In the end, the result of a game contributes a lot to the evaluation of a playing style. For example, Contes Chelsea in 2017 wasnt really attractive, not even significantly better than this team rn, but they were efficient, they had prime Hazard and Costa, scoring 40 goals in between them. The playing style itself was shit, onedimensional. But bc it was efficient and bc we were champion Conte is still admired by some Chelsea fans and some even want him back here (I dont, bc his style is shit).
  13. You said we arent creating chances, which is clearly wrong. A statistic is not an opinion.
  14. "put himself forward" - sounds very desperate 🤣
  15. You cant disagree on facts 😂 but ok.
  16. We arent even playing that badly recently. At least we are creating chances. In the last 5 games, the average xG was 1.99. In comparison: only City and Arsenal have a higher xG value throughout the season. We are creating, but we arent scoring.
  17. And wanna bet that we will struggle to get into Top4 with the offensive players we have rn no matter who the manager is?
  18. We created enough chances under Potter. Chelsea is leading the table of xG to actual goals difference. We had an xG of 2.5 against Villa, scored 0. Just like today. We wont win shit with this players up front.
  19. No manager in the world can fix the inability of certain players to score.
  20. Mighty TT lost to Freiburg at home in the cup. Immediate impact.
