Too bad the expressed respect of De Laurentis towards TB will not make dealing with him anything easier in the summer…

Typical fan board dynamics - go apeshit when transferring some Football Manager darling in and cry we're not paying hundreds of millions up front, 90 minutes later go apeshit and demand the player being sent back and bash the board for the transfer, because fella hadn't suddenly got 3 times better on plane to London as isn't banging in a hat trick from the get go. Always a fun read though.

I also think Mou is another twitter plaything. Anyway, as much as I have a highest regard for the madman, I am afraid he isn't reinventing himself if he hadn't done so yet. He is a prime example of a motivator coach, however the football went ahead of him and he hadn't catch up. Mentality is important, but to succeed in top football you also have to have some great tactical sense that Jose seems to have neglected, hence this is only downward road for him since Madrid. He may be Roma coach for hobby & pleasure, I doubt he'd even want to fuss with top team again, especially he is probably aware it wouldn't end well for him.

Hope he won't do as good as agent Fabregas did…

Problem is, no sign of this so far 😂 I don't know who Graham Potter would have to be for a club like Chelsea to throw 3 seasons to shitter for him to get us from 9th to 7th. It's beyond ridiculous now. But hey, the ratio of xG to square root of his shoe size is top3 level!

I'm not sure DDF rejected Brighton only to spend 1.5 years in Turkey now. Maybe until end of current season, but a lot can happen during 18 months

It is understood we are looking into talented, German manager Nicolas Nuchel - he fits Boehly's philosophy of snagging raw talent before other club's will look into them. Dude is gifted with bold character, hungry for success and reportedly tactically proven with difficult opponents.

You mean the FM2019 scouts? I even feel Marina could have passed on him a few times before, but I actually like the idea of buying at least a bit proven wonderkids when they are more expensive, but not yet ridiculously expensive and not the hottest thing on Twitter right now.. Big plus for him not looking lost in Premier League that seems to be the case with a lot of wonderkids. Shame he was left out of CL, another very wired decision. On the other hand, french fans were pointing he is prone to mistakes and he seems to be a bit forgotten by other big clubs, so wouldn't be surprised if love for him lasts until his first howler.

Been making pretty much same post after every game since months now to no avail. Better give up and "trust the process"(of heading into relegation zone) mate, otherwise you are good weather fan 😂

After years of plugging the holes with wild moves, no vision and no sporting director we got stuck in the mud for good at the time and were only hanging on Tuchel and Roman's money, that also were under a question mark with GB stance and stadium situation. Haaland was not coming here as long as he had any hype around him and likes of Pool, City or PSG interested
-
But was he really? He kept mid-table team mid-table. Is that really the kind of success that draws Chelsea to you? Ranieri with Leicester was doing well, yeah. And I wont even get started on "good football" bs. Good football is like, yeah, winning freaking games, meanwhile some people look like they will watch games with hand in their pants because we are 49% instead of 37% vertical passes and draw to last team in the table. And the chad Potter comes out and stutters that we were fighting, but they were just too good. I can, somehow, see what was TB idea, but yeah, idea and reality don't always go together and maybe the real football proven bit more complicated, than the bright, romantic idea. On the other hand, I don't understand it for shit. The "young and hungry talents" would probably be machines under like of Lampard, but Potter? Lol. He neither have the character nor the skill and one needs at least on of those for it to work. Since GP appointment, I feel many of our fans got the mindset that burdened people supporting Arsenal for years.

Where does people get the idea that "Tuchel bought Lukaku" from? I can imagine TT made some ultimatum that we need an elite striker asap. Board failed at everyone else, so they got RL last minute and if one would squint their eyes a bit, it would even sound like a potentially good idea. Is Tuchel an idiot and he was demanding him for weeks, because all he needed was someone who would blow his tactical system up from the start and couldn't be more of a unfit player for it? Doubt it.

That whole "big egos" talk is just another way of blurring Potter's incompetence. There is no "egos", it's not 2015 anymore. It's just mid to big players and tiny manager, let's get it straight. Maybe it works in baseball or whatever, but in top of the top football that PL is you just can't get a pass with some random dude as a manager. I wouldn't be surprised if even some of Brighton players wouldn't really have much respect for him, especially given his near-stereotypical character that is the opposite of a leader and serial winner. I just wonder what TB sees in him - yeah, he is a cartoon english man, but what percentage of fanbase give a shit about it? TB wanted to come out as a big time football visionary and got burnt, whatever, own up to a mistake. I'd much rather understand holding for dear life to Koulibaly than this absurd of a situation.
-
Nah, give him time, he needs more "his players" over the 16 we've currently got and then time to smooth things out and then there's surely some good excuse for him and then give him time to promote us from Championship, because he did incredible work at Brighton, eg doing decent but worse, than without him, lol. Shocking, but some will still refuse to see the obvious ridiculity of this appointment.
-
I'm still amazed how excited about Enzo some people get like he was some Jesus lord savior coming here; Given he is greatly unproven player with absurd pricetag, I doubt the burden of needing to be a reincarnation of prime Hazard from the get go will help him much. But that's not the point; I did read a lot of ridiculous things here, but calling us disgraceful laughing stock because TB was negotiating for okay player with huge potential and at the same downplaying the Zyiech situation or, even worse, trying to blame PSG for this is making my eyebrows raise. There is literally no place for such fuckup in pro football, serious club just cannot fail at doing basic paperwork and it's not something we should walk by past. Unless, besides being renowned as circus, we also need failed incoming transfers or another ban, because why not, "lawyers were busy with player we like, so no problem". I am afraid yes problem.
-
So that's a goodbye I guess. A lot of people bashed him all the way, but I will remember him fondly - good character, he never seemed to be suited for the league, yet did a lot of good work here, so, like, thanks, J5 and good luck
-
There's a statement from Benfica manager that seems to be pure asspain. Funny it took so much drama for them to let him go with installments anyway and for us to overpay big time anyway
-
Utter circus and incompetence if Chelsea had actually boched Zyiech with paperwork
-
Imagine Benfica's best player negotiating terms with us, then swearing his love to Benfica and wanting to stay and then fucking away last day of the window by handing the clause sum himself (what has to be technically done anyway); Don't know if we can be more hated, but it would surely be prime stuff to watch. Their fans would surely love it too.
-
How could that even be legal? It's not like company A can pay company's B taxes as it's, well… creates a tax liability lol. This comedy drags for way too long, I feel that the more fluffing around there is, the bigger chance it will end up in bad flop
-
Here I am. We are not buying any high-profile players (as this seems to be a TB vision) and I wouldn't necessarily call throwing surreal boatloads of cash on youth/small-club/anonymous players that no other club bids for a "pull" in objective terms and we are getting publicly rejected by a lot of targets. Still, if those players will form some chemistry and spirit, it's certainly a right step in direction of creating an actual pull.
-
I wouldn't say Abraham was very reliable striker either, hence he's gone. And about Laka - well, it was a gamble, as everyone, even here, knew his form is highly sinusoidal and apparently Marina lost the gamble - he went straight to bottom after coming here.
-
So, Artreta and Arsenal are suddenly top stuff, confirmed and sealed? I am more than happy that it's not City nor Pool at the too, but c'mon, Arsenal is doing good and suddenly they are considered absolute pro top after years of being midtable and there's a ton of "i told you so", and every time we hit the rough the rough patch we are suddenly shit team. Let Arsenal win the league, perform top 4 next season and do something in Europe and then it's time to judge how well their "process" (potentially still smarter and more quality than ours) fared.
-
Will he get it anywhere else though, given his recent performance? Doubt Arsenal, Bayern or PSG would be likely to pay him top money because he used to be good two seasons ago.
-
Hell I would! - - Really feel the need for satellite club now. Btw. I wonder how realistic is it to TB make a move for Bellingham? No that much more than Enzo, yet more proven and HG perhaps. It's not like Pool or even RM are unbeatable if he hadn't voiced his desire to go there yet.
