  1. Is it weird that I feel strangely confident
  2. And what about the "facts". Mount had as many key passes, more tackles won, 39 passes with a better pass%. Surprising how one had a MoTM performance for you, and another was below average.
  3. So is he still a "capable" 2nd LB. 😂😂
  4. Kepa (lol) James AC Silva Azpi Mount Kante Kova Kai Werner Pulisic I would go with this team (if fit). Kova and Azpi on the left to stop Salah and TAA. Please no Alonso.
  5. This is a weird one. FL's distrust of CHO is a bit worrying.
  6. I think the 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-4 rather might have had to do with having jorgi and alonso on the pitch at the same time. If we played 4-3-3 with Kante pushing up ahead and jorgi having to deal with troussard's pace while alonso against lamptey, we would have been burned. It would have been a case of "did not we learn anything from last season". RLC himself is not that good a defender (as a CM). I think 4-3-3 will be our primary formation, and RLC will come good (and this is based on nothing but faith - bordering on blind faith as he just has not shown anything to support that argument).
  7. With Puli and Ziyech back, we will definitely revert to a 4-3-3. And formation and system will get the best out of him. I still have faith that RLC will come good. Definitely wont judge him off a game where he was played as a 2nd striker whose main purpose was to win aerial balls and knock them down for werner.
  8. That goal was a pen, that assist was a 30 yard pile driver from RJ. Other than that, Mount had as many key passes, more tackles won, 39 passes with a better pass%. Surprising how one had a MoTM performance for you, and another was below average.
  9. You actually think a source which gave kai more than mount is reliable? If mount had made that howler pass, scuffed a shot, lost the ball n number of times and shown that "body language", people would have ripped him a new one. And if we are using ratings, then I would rather use a good one like whoscored which rated that performance as 7.2, more than Kai's 6.9 If we were looking at facts, then mount had 2 key passes tied highest in the team with jorginho (kai had 1), he had tied highest dribbles with werner (2, kai had 1), he was dispossessed just once (kai had 3, werner had 2). Defensively he had the team's highest tackles - 4, and a very important clearance. https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1485192/LiveStatistics/England-Premier-League-2020-2021-Brighton-Chelsea So MoTM, not for me, but I wont ridicule anyone who thought so too. It was a solid performance and if kai had put in a similar one with similar numbers, we would all be jizzing ourselves. So again, it's the internet, you could find sources, supporting your argument, I can do so with mine. It's all just perspective and bias, just the way you claim that one of the best pl young players had just 2 good months last season.
  10. I do get that. But don't think he should be judged on that. I mean honestly, except for that one time in the 2nd half, did Brighton even have a sniff down the right all game?
  11. If he had just 2-3 good months, he would not have been in contention for our player of the year or PL's young player of the year award. Just because you have made yourself believe that "he was poor", does not mean anyone/most people see it that ways. You think CHO would have dared better defensively against lamptey? It was quite clear we were going to go long ball, CHO on the left would have been as nullified as Kai on the right. Mount atleast gave us numbers in the mid and link up between jorginho-kante with werner and RLc People react because you are ALWAYS critisizing mount. You are critisizing him after a solid game as if he had a shocker. Jorgi had a good game, but are we willing to play this way or play without a press all season long? It's pretty obvious jorgi can't be a solo DM, as he is targetted consistently. A double pivot with kante or kova, means a 4-man press which will really cost us. I don't know any team which successfully plays a pressing game having a double pivot. A pressing game requires 4-3-3. Also, don't think I have ever personally abused kepa ever. Specially on a forum where people call players like "donkeyoko" and "donkeywater" or "batshit", I think nothing I have said can be called as abuse.
  12. I think it was more the way we were set up. No real link up play. He is dangerous when ocerlapping and crossing (aka the corner that he won, and the move just before that). The 4-2-4 really cost us fluidity. Also, don't think he had an issues in defensive. He was solid. Lamptey really looks great. But he was also playing against alonso, so need to take that into account. Such games come at q premium where you can give your opposing defender a 10 yard head start, and still easily catch up, where you know his crossing is shit so no need to worry, his speed is shit, so he won't be able to go past you, plus his defending is mega shit, so you anyways are going to own his ass.
  13. +1. Plus where did this 4-2-4 come from? Why? Would not a 4-3-3 have suited us way better with jorginho controlling the mid. For all his issues, jorgi does that brilliantly, and we played in a way that he could not possibly do that.
  14. I had been saying the same thing. We shoukd buy reguilon and sell both emerson and alonso. Somehow people deluded themselves in believing he is a "decent" no. 2.
  15. Buddy, I seriously enjoy your comments, but Your agenda against mount is bordering on being childish, honestly. Mount worked over time, protecting alonso's ass. Most of anything good that we did in linking the pivots and the attack came from mount. Our right flank barely created an attack in the first half. I mean if that was a "poor" performance from mount, then you have got to be just biased.
  16. That was 1 season ago. He got injured just before the last game of the season. And he was injured for almost all of last season. And yes, some players don't recover from such injuries, while a lot do. RLC and CHO have played no where near the amount of minutes or gotten the amount of oppurtunities to be put in the former braxket. On the other hand, Barkley is a bang average footballer, who can't provide us with anything even at his best.
  17. RLC showed far more under sarri than Barkley has in the last 5 years. RlC can provide us the drive and ball carrying that this mid without kova will be severely lacking.
  18. No Ross please. Would rather RLC start.
  19. Kepa James zouma AC alonso Mount kante RLC Havertz werner Cho
  20. A really good day. Started it with 30$ on zverev and thiem making it 90$ (profit of 60$). Lost 30$ on clippers and Celtics (clippers surprisingly let a 16 point lead go away) Then put 10$ on auba to score for a 6$ profit Put 6$ on Leeds to win (at HT) @ ridiculous odds of 25 - lost this. Put 10$ on newcastle to win @4 odds, giving a profit of another 30$. Ended the day with a 20$ on Osaka and lakers to give another 25$. Total profit - 60+ (-30) + 6 + (-6) + 30 + 25 = 85$.
  21. I think when we bought him, he was injured. Rushed back, no pre season and never got a chance to acclimatize. I don't think he deserves a shot here at the moment. More suited to a slower league. But calling him crap and shit is just unfair
  22. Did you watch him and his performances in the last 2 years or the year before that?
  23. Rudiger should be 4th choice CB this season. Just seems so shaky.
