I think Joao just improved our left side. We need depth for getting past the group stage of CL. We were very thin on the left side.

Noni is very expendable now

He has played the most minutes at LW and Striker. He has looked better at LW, very direct looking for goal. I can’t remember him playing the 10 for Brighton

He is good on the left, Gittens just got a much harder way to get first team minutes

He has played mostly LW at Brighton and as Striker and AM. He does have quite a bit of versatility and always looking for goal. I think he would put both Gittens and Noni on the bench.
