Estevao on the bench?

Transfer windows have lost all the fun they used to be. Somewhat like getting socks and underwear for Christmas.

It has been 18 months?

I need to stay off X, that story about his pastor is crap too.

On X, I did find this, I had not seen this quote from Rosenior that makes more sense than the rumors from the likes of Duncan Castles and the other D list rumor posters.
-
What is going on with Estevao? Resenior said he has to want to play? There are people saying that Cole and Estevao are not getting along? Thankfully the drama from the transfer window is taking up everyone’s attention if there is any truth to these rumors

Sarr doesn’t clear a ball he should have and PSG score. Not really sure he is the answer

It seems like he is trying to get his strongest against Arsenal in the semifinal rested.

This was before the lineup came out. After starting two games in a row, Estevao Willian could be handed a rest against the Hammers, despite being a clear Rosenior favourite. Palmer’s return pushes Enzo Fernandez back into his natural central midfield role alongside Moises Caicedo. Yet even here, there is room for management. One of Fernandez, Caicedo or captain Reece James may be rested following long shifts against Napoli and with Arsenal to come in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi finals on Tuesday.

This episode highlights the changes Rosenior is transitioning the players to do in his offense. I love it if it has consistent results. It is really a big change from Maresca’s last philosophy. It is attacking the goal. Please make the sideways passes drop significantly.

The numbers for Raheem leaving. He had an Amortized transfer fee of £9.5M then whatever his buyout was, rumours are £20M. That is £29.5m PSR hit, but it is offset by what the club would have paid him in total wages on his contract. That is reported to be £25.4M. If the rumoured buyout is correct that is a £4.1M PSR hit, but then the lower total wage for the club is factored in and it could be close to a break even for this year and really great for next year’s PSR total. I think PSR is averaged over 5 years. So it does become a net positive starting next year, and not much of a hit this year, if at all. I had ChatGPT search for all the money figures and PSR accounting. Took about four searches for the money involved and the accounting rules. All this is as accurate as the sources ChatGPT used.

What really impressed me about the game is Rosenior got the CB line all wrong on the starting 11. He didn’t go down with his ill fated game plan. He completely scrapped it at halftime when he could go over a new game plan with the players needed. I get really irked when a manager gets the set up wrong for the game being played, but doesn’t have the courage to change it. I also liked he pulled Gittens even though he was a second half sub when Lukaku came on to make sure Lukaku couldn’t try to use the only thing left in his career, to bully smaller players. Rosenior puts the team over hurting a players feelings.

I was pretty down at halftime. Amazing what a win can do. I might need meds being a Chelsea fan.
