  2. Lavia is out. We need his profile. I wonder if they put in Essugo or Santos?
  3. Clickbait. The last sentence says his priority is to sign a new contract with PSG.
  4. Just read the last four pages of the Noni Transfer thread at Arsenal Mania. It is not a safe place right now. https://arsenal-mania.com/forum/threads/noni-madueke.37071/page-179
  5. It is such a tough time to be an American. It is like living through an episode of Twilight Zone. Trump is bad enough, but he has brought so many bat shit crazy people with him.
  6. On UEFA’s side, it is pretty much a source of income and probably makes other teams feel like it is a way to stop the biggest teams from just fielding a massively superior team….. but that happens all the time…so back to income from a luxury tax. The fact that they require it from players sales just a way to appease other teams and make themselves look like they are stewards of the game. This same ownership group pays Major League Baseball a luxury tax every year for the Dodgers exceeding the salary cap. Last year they paid $103m in the luxury tax. They look at it as a part of doing business to having a competitive team to win titles. The Yankees paid $62.5m last year. The amazing part is even MLB has an escalating tax for repeated yearly fines, the Dodgers just keep paying it. As a fan, you love to see owners who are willing to fork over some cash to win.
  7. The prize money from the Club World Cup will not directly allow Chelsea to register new players for the Champions League. While the prize money is a significant sum, it is separate from the funds needed to comply with UEFA's financial regulations regarding player registration. Chelsea needs to generate more than £60 million through player sales to register their new signings for the Champions League, due to a breach of UEFA's financial rules. Here's why: UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) Regulations: UEFA has financial regulations, including a "List A transfer balance" requirement, which means that any spending on new players for the Champions League must be covered by the income from player sales. Chelsea's Breach: Chelsea has been fined by UEFA for breaching these regulations and has agreed to a sporting restriction that prevents them from registering new players unless they have a positive transfer balance, according to the BBC. "List A" Restriction: "List A" refers to the squad that Chelsea submitted to UEFA for the Champions League. New signings and players like Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana, who were injured or not registered last season, need to be added to this list, and their costs must be offset by player sales. Club World Cup Prize Money: The prize money earned from the Club World Cup is considered separate revenue and cannot be used to offset the required positive transfer balance for player registration. Focus on Player Sales: Chelsea needs to actively sell players to raise the necessary funds to comply with UEFA's regulations and register their new signings.
  8. We may not be buying anyone until we satisfy the UEFA conditions to register new players for Champions League. I think we need to be 50M more pounds in the profit. I'm sure we will have a few more incomings, but it might not be before we get ahead of the profit margin for player sales. The CWC money does not apply, it must be player sales.
